AN EVALUATION ON ONLINE LEARNING BY DATA VISUALIZATION: A CASE STUDY FROM INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAM

The result of learning process can be seen using scores from the exam as a result for evaluating the learning quality. This study focused on comparing the learning outcomes in Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya (UMTAS) students especially one class in Information Technology Education Program between face-to-face learning and online learning. The learning process is observed in order to gain some insight about the difference number of academic performance and student’s perception between face-to-face online learning. The comparative results of this research will be described through data visualization using R programming language. Data visualization using R programming language will result in form of numbers summary data and graphics. The results of this study showed that the exam score and student’s perception after face-to-face learning is higher than online learning. This study shows around 93% students from Information Technology Education Department demanded more face-to-face in class than online learning.

Intelligent control technology of engineering electrical automation for PID algorithm

Electrical device automation in smart industries assimilates machines, electronic circuits, and control systems for efficient operations. The automated controls provide human intervention and fewer operations through proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers. Considering these devices’ operational and control loop contributions, this article introduces an Override-Controlled Definitive Performance Scheme (OCDPS). This scheme focuses on confining machine operations within the allocated time intervals preventing loop failures. The control value for multiple electrical machines is estimated based on the operational load and time for preventing failures. The override cases use predictive learning that incorporates the previous operational logs. Considering the override prediction, the control value is adjusted independently for different devices for confining variation loops. The automation features are programmed as before and after loop failures to cease further operational overrides in this process. Predictive learning independently identifies the possibilities in override and machine failures for increasing efficacy. The proposed method is contrasted with previously established models including the ILC, ASLP, and TD3. This evaluation considers the parameters of uptime, errors, override time, productivity, and prediction accuracy. Loops in operations and typical running times are two examples of the variables. The learning process results are utilized to estimate efficiency by modifying the operating time and loop consistencies with the help of control values. To avoid unscheduled downtime, the discovered loop failures modify the control parameters of individual machine processes.

DINAMIKA RESILIENSI PADA ORANG DENGAN LUPUS (ODAPUS)

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which an abnormal immune system can cause inflammation on several organ or body systems. The risk of mortality rate caused by Lupus is high and late diagnosis is also prevalent which impact the psychological aspect of individual affected with Lupus (so-called Odapus). Therefore, resiliency is needed; that is individual ability to survive and keep optimistic attitude towards recovery. This study aims to describe the resilience dynamics of the affected individuals with Lupus. This is a qualitative study that involved 3 Odapus as participants. There are 1 male and 2 females that have diagnosed Lupus since their age was 15-17 years. The results indicated that partcipants have been developed the resilience skills for their good to copes and deals with various problems which resilience is not just something that adhered in someone, but it is a result of learning process.

The Effect of Role Playing Type of Cooperative Model on the Indonesian Learning Outcomes of Elementary Students

This study aims to determine the effect of the role playing type of cooperative model on student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language learning process. This study used experimental research design. Subject of this study are student in fourth grades at Kemantren 1 Elementary School. The researches variables consist of independent variable that is role playing models and lecture methods. Independent variable is the result of learning Indonesian. Students in fourth A grade as an experimental class and Fourth B grade as a control class. The instrument used in this study is the result of learning process. Data analysis techniques for cognitive domain using several steps. They are descriptive analysis, prerequisite test of normality and homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using t-test. The results showed that the role playing model influenced the learning outcomes of Indonesian language in fourth grade students at Kemantren 1 Elementary School. The average Indonesian learning in control class with the lecture method was 67,78 while the Indonesian learning outcomes in experimental class with role playing models was 74,07. Process data analysis of two groups using t-test results obtained t value of 2.896 > t table of 2.006. That is show that there are some influences in learning role playing models toward the result of Indonesian language study.

USE OF ENHANCED FEEDBACK IN AN ELECTRONIC LEARNING COURSE “FUNDAMENTALS OF MOLECULAR PHYSICS AND THERMODYNAMICS”

Background: Being an essential part of the educational process, blended learning still faces some problems concerning the interaction between teachers and students. They include a decrease in the level of knowledge and in the number of graduates as students experience a lack of live communication with the teacher, lack of sufficient experience of independent work, lack of interactive assessment. Aim: This study aimed to elaborate the model of enhanced feedback in an e-learning course, “Fundamentals of Molecular Physics and Thermodynamics,” to increase student educational achievements. Methods: The effectiveness of the model of enhanced feedback in the learning process was measured with the methodology for calculating statistical indicators of the quality of education: knowledge quality, level of student proficiency, progress, and average grade. To measure the emotional and evaluative attitude of students to educational activities and interaction with the teacher in an electronic course, a test-questionnaire satisfaction with learning activity was employed. Results and Discussion: the results of the initial and final control of the statistical indicators of the quality of education including knowledge quality, level of student proficiency, progress, and average grade in students showed a significant difference between the control and the experimental groups. At the end of the semester, the difference in knowledge quality was 23%, student proficiency level – 13%, progress – 3.5%, average grade – 0.6 scores. The analysis of student satisfaction with the learning process also confirms an increase in satisfaction with the learning process and with the interaction with the lecturer. Thus, the experimental methodology contributes to a significant improvement in the learning process results. Conclusions: The experiment demonstrated that replacing formative assessment with the model of enhanced feedback raises student educational achievements and compensates for lack of live communication with the teacher.

META-ANALISIS PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI DALAM HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA SISWA

This research is a meta-analytic study that uses qualitative analysis methods with documentation data collection techniques with pusposive sampling techniques. In 10 journal articles analyzed that the results of 10 research journal articles show that the effect of the application of the inquiry learning model has an effect on the learning process results. The application of this inquiry model has a significant influence on learning achievement such as science process skills, conceptual understanding, creative thinking skills and student learning outcomes. With this inquiry learning model, it has a positive influence on the achievement of students in learning. From the analysis of 10 journal articles, it is clear that the application of learning with this inquiry learning model has a positive influence on student understanding and student learning outcomes in physics learning.

Developing analytical mechanics course program using Geogebra multiple representation based (Mgeo-MR)

This research aims to develop analytical mechanics course program using Geogebra multiple representation based (Mgeo-MR). The computer program in Physics learning is a necessity in the era of industry revolution 4.0. There are so many computer programs in Mathematics learning used in Physics learning such as GeoGebra. The subjects of this research were 32 students of third semester. The design of research was pre-experimental in the form of one shot case study. The instruments of data collection in this research were the results of learning process through module developed MR based. Data were analyzed through descriptive analysis technique with Mgeo-MR. The results of this research obtain the average score of students’ comprehension achieving MR-verbal 57,7% sufficient category, MR-Picture 71,3% good category, MR-Graph 59,2% good category, and MR-Mathematics 57,7% sufficient category. Out of all of Mgeo-MR course program development obtains achievement with good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that analytic mechanic course program development multiple representation based using Geogebra software is successful.

Comparation: Learning Results Engineering Mechanics Using Conventional Learning Model and Learning Cycle in Vocational High School

Vocational high school aims to develop the students’ competence of job career that must appropriate with the necessary of company. Therefore, required a program of teaching strategy in order to obtain better result of learning process. The purpose of this study was to know the learning different result from mechanics learning using conventional learning and learning cycle in vocational high school. The method used in this study is comparative quantitative, by using the simple random sampling, sample that used in this study is the students of mechanics program from vocational high school. Testing-T used to know the learning different result from two different learning models. The result of this study shows that learning process in mechanics program of vocational high school using learning cycle is more effective than conventional method. This learning model would be effective to develop scientific abilities, explore material, find concepts and apply these concepts to the other problems, thus the learning results by using this model was increase.

Gender and learning results: a study on their relationship in entrepreneurship education and business plans

ABSTRACT This paper aims to analyse whether the entrepreneurial competencies acquired by students when they work on a business plan have any kind of influence on student learning process results in terms of gender. To do so, we used data obtained from questionnaires distributed among 425 students on the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Comparing men and women, we performed exploratory factor analyses on competencies and learning process results, and linear regression analyses to determine the influence of gender and competencies on learning. Our findings indicated that women reported poorer learning results than men using the business plan methodology. Another key finding was the highly positive influence on learning process results of time-management and entrepreneurial competencies in particular. Finally, we found no significant differences between men and women in terms of the impact of competencies on learning process results.

Web Development for Training in Social Competence Pre-Service Education with a Cooperative Learning Strategy

The use of web-based learning is not a new phenomenon in the world of education nowadays. There is a lot of research on web-based learning that shows the result of learning processes that are effective, interesting ang dynamic, flexible to access, choose on time and cheap. In the development of web-based learning (e-learning) as a study to overcome the problem of social competence in teacher education has not been widely done. This idea responds to the ownership of student social competence in teacher education which tends to be less than optimal. For this reason, web-based social competency training is proposed as an alternative solution to improve the social competence of pre-service teacher students. This research is used to develop web media with cooperative learning strategies that will be used for pre-service teacher social competency training. The main objective of this research is to develop web media that is suitable for training. The use of Research and Development methods (R&D) with the beginning of qualitative descriptive research and followed by evaluation. Qualitative research to collect data and information about research objects, situations and environmental settings and describe the stages of web development is followed by evaluation of media experts, material experts, learning experts and linguists. The results of this study are decent web media, using expert judgment on the site www.sosial-klub.com. Future improvements and study plans include developing a web-based training model with cooperative learning strategies to be implemented.

USAGE OF GAMES IN THE ACQUISITION OF ETHICAL VALUES OF LITERARY NARATIVES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

The aim of the article is to study and analyze the using of games in learning the ethical values of literary naratives in primary school. Methods of the research: study of theoretical literature, questionnaire for primary school teachers, processing and interpretation of the data obtained. The main conclusions are following: games can produce very good results in learning process, the game creates learning motivation and pleasure, and pupils are interested in learning more; an important aspect is to learn ethical values when reading literature in primary school. Didactic games improve pupils' knowledge, help in the sense of important concepts (friendship, beautiful, helpful). The teacher must follow the latest improvements in education, the development of the theory of didactic games, and develop himself in all areas in order to provide a high-quality education for pupils in the context of the competence approach.

The Effectiveness Projec Based Learning Methods in Teaching Structure of Indonesian Morpheme

This research was aimed to know the result of learning process by project based learning in the matter of Indonesian language form and structure of its morpheme. This research was a classroom action research with the stages constructing action plan, implementing, monitoring, and reflecting towards the execution process of the action, which was implemented in two cycles. The subjects of the research were 31 students of study program of Indonesian language. While, the data collection methods were observation and test, afterwards the data were processed by descriptive statistic. Base on the analysis result, it was found that average students learning activities in first cycle are 2.71, belonging to the active categories. While, it was found that the percentage of students learning mastery in the cycle 1 was 35.48%. In cycle II the average students learning activities was 77.42%. Due to the students learning mastery in cycle II was higher than 75%, and the students learning activities belonging to the active categories, therefore the mastery in cycle II was achieved. Students’ abstraction in solving system of linear equations with two variables

In teaching and learning process, the teacher usually guides students to follow the demonstrated procedure; however, the result of learning process sometimes shows that students cannot construct new knowledge. In constructing new knowledge, abstraction is important for students. The objective of this research is to describe students’ abstraction in solving system of linear equations with two variables problem. This research uses the qualitative method. The subjects are two female students from seven grade of junior high school. These students have not yet studied the system of linear equations with two variables formally. The data were gained as a result of solving the contextual problem in student worksheet and from an interview with the students. The results of this study were that students used their prior knowledge of the linear equations with one variable formally. Then students could solve the system of linear equations with two variables in formal symbolic by abstraction. The students needed scaffolding while abstracting. In teaching and learning process, teachers need to facilitate students by abstraction.

ПІДВИЩЕННЯ МОТИВАЦІЇ МОЛОДІ ДО ВИВЧЕННЯ ІНОЗЕМНИХ МОВ У ЗАКЛАДАХ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ

The article considers the definition of the motivation as the formed interest of students to receive significant achievements on the subject as a result of the professional activity of the teacher. It also underlines the motivation external and internal constituents and distinguishes, basing on the data of the questioning, and points out at those of them which play the main part in the process of learning foreign languages by the university students. It was found out that the improving of the career prospects and need to communicate easily with people from the foreign countries are the leading internal motives for young people today. The assessment and avoidance of troubles at the university, in spite of being the leading external motivators of the education system, play the least role for the questioned groups of students. These facts have to obviously influence on the choice of methods of teaching at high school in contemporary situation.The article describes the aspects of providing language learning at the non-linguistic higher educational institutions using the educational platform Moodle. The philosophical approach of the platform is guided by social constructionist pedagogy. From a constructivist point of view, people actively “construct” new knowledge as they interact with their environment. At the same time constructionism asserts that learning is particularly effective when building and presenting something for others to experience.The paper also presents the most fruitful types of activities using by the teachers working with Moodle, which help achieve better results of the English learning process. The author considers such appropriate activities for teaching English using the next Moodle resources as Glossary, Forum and Chat. Hot Potato, as an external resource, is presented as an extremely useful one for constructing the interactive tasks and getting the better results of the learning process.

Development of Integrated Learning Model of Islamic Education Subject and Student Self Control

This research title is the development of integrated learning model of Islamic education subject (PAI) and student self control. The problem of the research is in the orientation of knowledge, the meaning of learning process is still less optimal which is characterized by the weakness of student character. The result of learning process and student study’s value do not success to internalize inside the student. PAI learning process in Madrasah Ibtidayah the method of Teacher Centered still dominates the school. PAI is presented in partial and it is should be not in holistic and integration. Developing research method with ADDIE consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Syntax model which is developed by ISLAMIC (Information, Synergy, Learning, Active, reminding Model, and Continue). By the instructional effect hoped that the student intelligent increasing and has strong spiritual religious, self control and well behavior. The nurturant effect from this research was the realization of learning process meaning. This integrated study is hoped that the students are able to link one topic to the other subjects. Characters value inside the material expected to be applied in students’ life later on. The result of analysis development model with Aiken validation book model, teacher book and student book showed that the product was valid. The product of book model practicality. Teacher book and student book resulted practical product. Product effectiveness increased the study result and students self control.

The Relationship between Iranian EFL Teachers’ Creativity and Time Management Skills

Early research on creativity has illustrated that time is a significant resource education in general and classroom in particular. It is vital for incubation, thus, individuals should be given enough time to do a creative work. The current study sought to uncover the probable relationship between English language teachers’ creativity and time management skills. We hypothesized that teachers’ creativity plays a role in a number of variables such as age, gender, and teaching experience. It was also surmised that teacher creativity correlates time orientation. To measure teacher creativity, Zhou and George (2001) self-rating creativity was employed. In addition, Trueman and Hartley (1996) time management scale comprising five constructs, production of creative ideas, production of useful ideas, daily planning, confidence in long-term planning, and perceived control of time, were utilized to gauge time orientation. To comply with the objective, a total of 202 intermediate students from three English language institutes took part for the purpose of this study. They were requested to fill out the questionnaires. The data were collected over a period of three weeks. The data were analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient to probe the relationship between the variables. The results suggest that teachers with more time orientation incorporate more teaching activities in their classroom. However, the findings revealed that a number of variables like age, gender and teaching experiences were not significant factors for teachers’ creativity skills. The findings suggest that a teacher should widen his perception of creativity and repertoire of employing activities in order to maximize students' capacity for novelty The may help language teachers and policy makers bring to a focus on the effects of time management skills and teachers’ creativity in the EFL content to achieve a better result in learning process.

How does Entrepreneurship Education Develop Soft Skills?

The objective of research was to identify the comprehensive information on the entrepreneurship education program in Olifant School, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The research method employed was descriptive qualitative one. The sampling technique used was purposive; the data collection was carried out using observation, in-depth interview and document. The data validation was carried out using source triangulations, and data analysis using an interactive model. The result of research showed that the headmaster implemented entrepreneurship education program through holding some training for the teachers, admitting the students with special needs, modifying curriculum and providing school infrastructure in accordance with the needs of the students. The constraints with entrepreneurship education programs included the limited number of special assistant teachers and the response of parents. The result of learning process can be seen from the students’ creativity, independency, and optimism as mentioned in entrepreneurship skill.

MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI AKTIF MAHASISWA MELALUI LESSON STUDY PADA MATA KULIAH GEOMETRI RUANG

This research aims to increase the active participation of students through lesson study courses in the geometry of space subject. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject is the class A students of the fourth semester in academic year 2015/2016 who are in the geometry of spaces subject with the number of students are 35. The instruments used are observation sheets of the students' active participation and documentation in the form of photographs and videos. The research procedures based on the stages of the lesson study were 3 cycles in which each cycle consisting of the activity plan, do, and see. This study shows that the results of learning process with the lesson study designed by the model lecturer and the observer can increase the students' active participation, particularly on the subjects of geometry of space. Comparative Model of Interactional and Psychological Communication in Learning Process of High Senior School Students of Daarul Muqorrobin Bandung

This research is intended to know the result of student learning process by using interactional and psychological communication model. The method used is by using pre-test and post-test of group control experiment design. By applying two variables, the independent variable is the result of the learning process, and the dependent variable is the use of interactional and psychological communication model. Analysis data using descriptive statistics with mean and t-test calculations. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the learning process of students using interactional and psychological communication model. Interactional models average 80.21 and psychological averages 74.60. this is evidenced by the calculation of T-test where tcalculation> ttable (3.76> 2.00). Thus it can be concluded that the learning process by using interactional learning model can enhance feedback, two-way communication and experience in communicating students.

PENGGUNAAN METODE DISKUSI KELOMPOK DAN PEMBERIAN TUGAS DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR EKONOMI MATERI PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI SISWA KELAS XI IPS 4 SMA NEGERI 1 PUNGGUR SEMESTER GANJIL TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016.

To get good result in learning process, teacher should be able to improve herself by using many kinds of methods so that the result can be improved and students can be active in teaching learning process. The purpose of this research is to know whether the use of discussion and giving task can improve learning achievement in a material of economic growth at the class of XI IPS 4 SMAN 1 Punggur year 2015/2016. To get good result in learning process teacher should be able to improve herself by using many kinds of methods so the result can be improved and students can be active in teaching learning process. The purpose of this research is to know whether the use of discussion and giving task can improve learning achievement in a material of economic growth at the class of XI IPS 4 SMAN 1 Punggur year 2015/2016. The location of this research is in SMAN 1 Punggur. It is done for 3 months , August to October 2015. Subject of this research is Class XI IPS 4 of SMAN 1 Punggur in the academic year of 2015/ 2016. Technique of collecting data used are : observation, documentation and data analysis interview by using qualitative descriptive analysis. Research procedure uses classroom action research method that consists of 2 cycles. The result of the classroom action research shows that In pre cycle, students who pass / succeed are 10 from 31 students or 32.14% and fail students are 21 from 31 students or equal to 6.86 %. After getting treatment in the first cycle, passed students increases to 22 from 31 students or 75% while fail students decrease 10 from 31 students or 25%. In the second cycle, passed students increases to 29 from 31 students or 92.86% while failed students only 2 from 31 students. Based on the data above it can be concluded that by using discussion method and giving task can improve thestudents’ economy achievement with economic growth material at the XIGrade of Social Science 4 in SMAN 1 Punggur on odd semester in the academic year of 2015/2016is true.
