Purpose - In the new era, the demand for foreign language translation talents in universities is also changing. However, the original training model of translation talents is outdated and unable to cope with various new problems. This thesis aims to study how to train translation talents in the current environment, improve students’ practical ability, and cultivate translation talents with innovative thinking.
 Design/Methodology/Approach - Guided by the concept of OBE, this thesis aims to explore the innovative methods of training foreign language translation talents in application-oriented undergraduate universities. This paper provides new solutions from the aspects of target orientation, process construction, teaching methods, etc., in order to provide new ideas for the training of high-quality translation talents under the new situation.
 Findings - Through the research, this paper finds that there are problems in the training of foreign language translation talents in application-oriented undergraduate colleges and universities, and on this basis, puts forward feasible innovative ways and carries out practice. We adhere to the student-oriented, constantly improve the teaching ideas and methods, and have achieved remarkable results.
 Research Implications - It provides a reference case for similar or similar courses and personnel training model, and provides a good foundation for Shandong Province and even the whole province to export professionals who adapt to the new situation.
