Examining the Economic Value of Collegiate Club Sports to the University

To measure the contribution of collegiate club sports to the economic and social environment of higher education institutions, this case study developed a pragmatic model—integrating self-generated revenue, stimulated student spending, student attraction, and student retention—to quantify the economic value or worth of club sports to the university, and to consider their broader utility for the attainment of the university's mission. For the university studied, results show that undergraduate club sport athletes render approximately $21.7 million in institutional expenditure annually, and club sports can serve the university mission through their contribution to student recruitment, retention, and recommendation. Over 50% of participants credited their enrollment, continued attendance, and willingness to recommend the university to the availability of club sports. Student retention was more positive for participants in club sports than for the university population as a whole. Additionally, international students and students living off-campus viewed club sports as particularly positive.

УПРАВЛЕНИЕ ПРОЕКТАМИ КАК ЭФФЕКТИВНАЯ МОДЕЛЬ РАЗВИТИЯ ЭКОЛОГИЧЕСКОГО ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ

Environmental problems (air and water pollution, decline in biodiversity, noise pollution, etc.) that humanity faces today are partly related to the need to increase basic literacy of the population in the field of environmental protection and conservation. Existing environmental education in higher educational institutions often does not correspond to the principle of connection between theory and practice. Students are told about existing problems as a given, and not about what can and should be changed. However, in future professional activity, each student will have to “present” not knowledge in its pure form, but the ability to apply it in specific practical situations. In this regard, the article presents a project method of working with students, which allows them to be involved in active environmental activities. The authors examined an important environmental problem, using the example of a decline in the number of sterlet, and presented its relevance. The article also illustrates an effective step-by-step mechanism that must be included in the educational environment of higher educational institutions that train qualified personnel, ensure people's safety, a technosphere comfortable for human life and activity, and also minimize the technogenic impact on the environment. Based on the study, the authors came to the conclusion that design allows students to switch from passive consumers of knowledge to active creators who can analyze problems, find the optimal result and prove its correctness. The article is intended for further application of the method by the pedagogical community in the educational process in order to improve the existing educational system.

Innovative model of interaction of subjects in the higher education market

Relevance. The relevance of the subject matter lies in the need to ensure the availability and quality of modern higher education in the market and the presence of problems of interaction between individual subjects represented in this market.Purpose. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the prospects for building an innovative model of interaction between subjects of higher education in the conditions of modern market relations.Methodology. The basis of the methodological approach in this study is a combination of methods of empirical modelling of the interaction of subjects of the higher education market of Kazakhstan with a statistical analysis of the results of the application of this model and a systematic analysis of the process of introducing innovations into the educational environment of universities in the country.Results. In the course of the research, the results were obtained that determine the general principles of constructing a model considered within the framework of the stated topic, and key aspects of the interaction of subjects in this model. It is established that the process of introducing innovations into the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan is inextricably linked with the realities of the economic situation formed in the state and the level of its influence on the development of this system. The key subjects of the higher education market in Kazakhstan are identified, and the differentiation of the level of their interaction within the framework of the considered innovation model is given.Conclusions. The practical significance of the results obtained is conditioned by the possibility of their use in creating a fundamentally new model of interaction between subjects of the modern higher education market, through the introduction of innovations into the pedagogical environment of higher educational institutions and thereby ensuring a higher level of graduate training.

Alignment of University Competencies With Global Skill Measures

This study analysed two internationally recognised measurements of professional skills: the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) and the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp 2.2). This analysis aimed to establish a baseline and reference point for a comprehensive understanding of these two scales with the objective of exploring the most relevant competencies and assessing their potential benefits in fostering a technology-driven environment in higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia. The research yielded significant findings regarding the essential competencies that university students should possess, drawing insights from the two assessments and identifying gaps in existing manuals. The research outcomes include valuable insights and best practices that can empower a new generation of university learners to effectively engage with the requirements of Education 4.0.

Adaptation of the Experience of Foreign Pedagogical Community of Higher Education in the Students' Critical Thinking Development in Ukraine

The article is devoted to the adaptation of the experience of foreign pedagogical community of higher education in the students' critical thinking development in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to highlight the practice of adapting the technologies for the critical thinking development of students from the foreign pedagogical community of higher education into the Ukrainian educational space. Research methods used in the article are theoretical analysis, systematization, generalization of data from scientific-methodical and special literature, analysis of the structure and content of higher education institutions websites. The results. Today, information has become an inexhaustible resource for humanity, and society has entered a new era of civilized development. This process requires the ability to use effective methods that allow the average citizen to adapt and survive in such situations. One of these tools is critical thinking, which is an essential tool for human mental activity. The problem of developing critical thinking has received considerable attention from the foreign pedagogical community of higher education. Critical thinking development in the theory of education was shown as the result of research in American cognitive psychology. This practice deserves to be adapted in Ukraine. The paper's author analyzes web content in terms of structure and content. Conclusions. The world's leading universities have websites that offer distance learning courses on critical thinking for students of these universities, as well as anyone who wants to improve their level of critical thinking, as the authors believe this skill to be essential for a successful professional life. The author of the article states that the creators of the courses unanimously voice the opinion that critical thinking skills are a prerequisite for a successful professional life, namely, that critical thinking correlates with innovative thinking. So, at the present stage in foreign pedagogical practice, this concept has a rich history and practice, which is actively implemented in the education system at all levels, and this experience should be implemented to develop Ukraine's education. Further scientific research is needed on the issues of involving global educational projects for the development of critical thinking in the digital environment of higher education institutions of the country, sharing resources between them, testing the pedagogical conditions for the development of students' critical thinking, taking into account the peculiarities of using digital technologies in the implementation of creative ideas for the development of critical thinking in classes with an increased emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Формування когнітивної складової професійного мислення студентів в умовах цифрової трансформації вищої освіти

The article considers the ways of forming the cognitive component of students' professional thinking in the context of digital transformation of higher education. European trends that affect the quality of educational services are highlighted; attention is focused on the problems of globalisation, the use of artificial intelligence and robotics, the use of cloud technologies, which together affect the nature of human life and the peculiarities of the development of educational institutions. Among the newest ways to solve these problems, the article highlights the following: creation of a digital educational environment for professional training of specialists competitive in the employment market. It is proved that digital transformation is of great importance in the globalised world, and the modernisation of education is aimed at solving the latest global problems. The article identifies the following modern trends in information development that influence the process of digitalisation of education: development of artificial intelligence, "machine learning", neural networks; further development of mobile-oriented tools; widespread introduction of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies; the development of cloud computing and virtualisation technologies, cloud computing technologies; the development of augmented reality and virtual reality; widespread introduction of chatbots and virtual assistants, etc. The article considers the trends of digitalisation of the educational environment in higher education institutions in Germany and Austria, including digital ecosystems, which in the form of open learning systems offer the latest design structure for using the possibilities of modern digitalisation in the network economy. It is proved that SMART-education provides new opportunities related to the use of e-learning technologies; ensures mobility and accessibility of educational information; allows the format of autonomy of the teacher and students using mobile devices in the educational process; makes it possible to provide flexible educational services in terms of individual capabilities of the master's student; provides support for individual programmes for the personal development of each student.

Adherence to the principles of academic integrity in the educational and scientific environment of higher education institutions

У статті проаналізовано поняття «академічна доброчесність» з огляду на культуру якості, яка сприяє підвищенню конкурентоспроможності європейської освіти завдяки забезпеченню її якості через усвідомлення необхідності розвивати культуру і поширювати найкращий досвід у цій галузі. Встановлено, що особливо актуальною криза академічної доброчесності постала в умовах сьогодення у зв’язку із розвитком, впровадженням та широким використанням інформаційних інтернет-ресурсів та технологій для подання у вільному доступі результатів інтелектуальної власності серед української наукової та освітньої спільноти. З’ясовано, що механізм дотримання академічної доброчесності в Україні із врахуванням положень Проєкту сприяння академічної доброчесності в Україні – SAIUP за підтримки Посольства США висвітлений у Методичних рекомендаціях для закладів вищої освіти з підтримки принципів академічної доброчесності, в основу якого закладено шість основних блоків. За результатами аналізу світового досвіду доведено, що напрацювання практичних навичок якісного академічного письма – то є складний процес, опанування якого потребує самовдосконалення, постійних і наполегливих зусиль. Розглянуто та проаналізовано засади успішного навчання академічному письму. Доведено, що академічна доброчесність у сучасному світі є тим основним важелем, який будує фундамент внутрішньої гармонії людини, стійкість її характеру та послідовність морального образу. Представлено способи покращення академічної доброчесності під час підготовки здобувачами вищої освіти письмових робіт.

Специфіка формування конкурентних переваг ЗВО на основі ціннісного підходу в умовах війни

The purpose of the study is to develop proposals for the formation of competitive advantages by higher education institutions in the context of war based on a value-based approach. Methodology. The theoretical and methodological basis of the work is a system of general sci-entific and special methods of scientific knowledge, which are directly related to the purpose and objectives of the study. The research methods used in the study include statistical, comparative analysis and generalisation methods to identify the factors influencing the change in demand in war-time. Index methods were used to assess the severity of competition and the core of the higher edu-cation market. The method of hierarchy analysis by T. Saaty was used to establish the weight of value criteria by students, independent of the subjectivity of their choice. Findings. It has been found that in the higher education market, the concept of marketing in-stitutionalisation was applied in response to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the specifics of higher education institutions in wartime. This has forced the educational, scientific and innova-tive components of higher education institutions to undergo dramatic changes. Based on the analysis of the competitive environment of higher education institutions and the results of a marketing study of student opinion, the value parameters of students' choice of higher education institutions in times of war are identified. The value parameters of the choice of higher education institutions include: the level of qualification of the teaching staff; the region of location of higher education institutions; cooperation with foreign universities; reviews in social networks; and the availability of the chosen speciality. Using the method of hierarchy analysis, T. Saaty has established a ranking of universities ac-cording to the criteria that are valuable for students. As a result of the study, recommendations are made on the implementation of value parameters of students' choice of higher education institutions in the model of providing educational services of higher education institutions. It is proved that the model of providing educational services of higher education institutions should be developed taking into account the strategic directions of development of higher education institutions, hierarchical, value-based approaches, added value and complementary development of related and compatible sectors of the economy. Practical implications. The model of providing educational services by higher education insti-tutions based on the value-based approach is recommended to be used in the development of pro-grammes to motivate students to return to the country after completing their studies in order to re-store Ukraine's economy in the post-war period by the marketing departments of such institutions as the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Employment Service under the Ministry of Econo-my of Ukraine and other institutions. Value. The implementation of value-based parameters of choice by higher education institu-tions in the model of providing educational services by higher education institutions increases the ability for dynamic growth in innovation and integration, adaptive flexibility to changes in the glob-al higher education market, and ensures the realisation of national interests in education. Taking in-to account international rankings will help to raise awareness among consumers of educational ser-vices about the priority of educational services, identify the professionalism of staff, improve the quality of management of educational processes, and facilitate the integration of higher education institutions into the international scientific and educational space.

Achievement Motivation as a Necessary Factor of Students’ Successful Development in the Educational Environment of Higher Education Institution

The question of motivation of university students as a psychological and pedagogical problem is considered, various types of motivation characteristic of educational activities in a university, some classifications of motives for educational activities of domestic and foreign scientists are given. It is concluded that the issue of increasing the level of motivation of students in a higher educational institution should be given close attention, since modern society needs specialists with a high level of professionalism, entrepreneurship, initiative, creativity and creative abilities. For successful development in the educational environment of the university, achievement motivation, a purposeful pursuit of knowledge, complemented by responsibility for one’s own development, adequate self-esteem and assessment of one’s capabilities are important. Рассматривается вопрос мотивации студентов вуза как психолого-педагогическая проблема, различные виды мотивации, характерные для учебной деятельности в вузе, приведены некоторые классификации мотивов учебной деятельности отечественных и зарубежных ученых. Делается вывод о том, что вопросу повышения уровня мотивации студентов в высшем учебном заведении необходимо уделять пристальное внимание, так как современному обществу нужны специалисты с высоким уровнем профессионализма, предприимчивости, инициативности, креативности и творческих способностей. Для успешного развития в образовательной среде вуза важна мотивация достижения, целенаправленное стремление к знаниям, дополненное ответственностью за свое развитие, адекватной самооценкой и оценкой своих возможностей.

أثر تطبيق للإرشاد الأكاديمي قائم على التلعيب في تحسين الانخراط بالمهمات الإرشادية لدى طلاب التعليم العالي

Relying on mobile applications to manage academic and educational advising processes has an effective role in improving the advising environment in higher education institutions. The emergence of gamification as a technology that can be integrated into many digital applications has led to a reconsideration of how applications are designed so that they are more capable and effective in enhancing user engagement in these applications. Accordingly, the current research examines the effect of using a gamification-based academic advising application in improving engagement with advising tasks among higher education students. The quasi-experimental approach was used to compare the first experimental group that used the academic advising application and the second experimental group that used the same application without activating the gamification system. The research sample consisted of (60) female students who were randomly distributed into the two research groups. A measure of engagement in instructional tasks was developed, consisting of three axes: behavioral engagement, cognitive engagement, and emotional engagement, with a total of (24) items. The results showed the advantage of the first experimental group that used the gamification-based academic advising application in improving indicators of engagement in advising tasks. The research recommended the need to expand the use of gamification in academic advising environments to improve the advising environment in higher education institutions. The research also recommended the need to train faculty members to use gamification incentives in managing academic advising processes.

INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES USAGE TO DEEPEN LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE IN A HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

In the modern educational environment, the emphasis on linguistic competence formation becomes crucial since globalization and international cooperation foresee a significant impact of language training on key processes in education. This article examines modern trends in the usage of innovative pedagogical technologies in higher education to deepen the linguistic competence of students of higher education institutions. The author analyzes the role of innovations in pedagogy and linguistics and highlights the advantages of using these technologies in the environment of higher education institutions.
 The author focuses on the study and analysis of such approaches as the Flipped Classroom, case study technology, and literary analysis of cases, the usage of virtual reality, and the project activity method.
 The article highlights how these innovative methods can change the traditional approach to language learning, allowing higher education students to actively engage in foreign language learning and develop their linguistic competence. Flipped Classroom allows you to shift the emphasis from lecture teaching to the independent work of higher education students, while case study technology stimulates analytical thinking and solving practical problems. Literary analysis of cases contributes to the study of real situations of using a foreign language, and the usage of virtual reality makes learning more exciting. The method of project activity supports the development of communication and organizational skills of educational process participants.
 All these pedagogical approaches are considered in the context of their influence on the deepening students’ linguistic competence and the possibilities of their active learning and self-development. The study offers an efficient contribution to the usage of innovations in higher education to improve the effectiveness of foreign language and linguistic disciplines.

Inclusive education in higher education institution: Are Ukrainian faculty members’ ready for it?

Quality higher education involves making it accessible to students with special needs and disabilities. Therefore, the implementation of inclusive education is a certain indicator of quality among higher education institutions (HEIs). At the same time, faculty members play a fundamental role in promoting inclusive learning environments working with students with disabilities. The aim of research is to determine the readiness of faculty members to implement an inclusive education in Ukrainian HEIs, because their willingness to work defines the practical implementation of legislative and regulatory initiatives regarding the organization of inclusive education in the actual educational practice. For this, we conducted a survey among 186 faculty members with different age, teaching experience, and professional category. The results confirm that the faculty of HEI are primarily focused on working with students with normative development and almost do not take into account the characteristics of educational difficulties of students with disabilities. In addition, their level of knowledge about basic legal and regulatory documents, elements of an inclusive learning environment, and typical problems of implementing an inclusive approach in the educational process of HEI are not uniform. But faculty members showed their readiness to master the practices of implementing an inclusive learning environment in higher education institutions. The results obtained can be useful for the development of institutional policies for the implementation of inclusive education in HEIs.

Формування професійної компетентності майбутніх правознавців в умовах сучасного інформаційно-освітнього середовища ЗВО

The article substantiates the peculiarities of the formation of professional competence of future legalscholars in the conditions of the modern informational and educational environment of higher educationinstitutions. The essence and structural components of the educational and informational environment of highereducational institutions and its possibilities of forming the professional competence of future legal specialistsare analyzed.The purpose of the article is to determine the components of the information and educationalenvironment of higher educational institutions, which will provide conditions for the effective formation ofprofessional competence of future legal scholars.Based on the results of the analysis of scientific sources, we have that scientists consider the educationaland informational environment of higher education institutions to be effective, which necessarily contains thefollowing structural components: spatial-subject, social and psychological-methodical. Taking into accountthe specific conditions for the formation of professional competence of future legal specialists, the informationand educational environment of higher educational institutions created for this purpose should be characterizedby the following possibilities: openness, the possibility of expansion, scalability, integration, adaptability,resource redundancy. Based on the results of research, it has been proven that an effective information andeducational environment of higher education institutions should ensure: access of students: to educationalmaterials, programs of disciplines (modules), practices, to publications of electronic library systems andelectronic educational resources; recording: the course of the educational process, the results of students'educational achievements and the growth of the level of professional competence of students; formation of:20electronic portfolio of the future specialist; effective interaction: between all participants of the educationalprocess, in particular synchronous and (or) asynchronous learning.Considering the complexity and multifacetedness of the chosen topic, we consider the need for furthertheoretical research and their practical implementation to be the perspectives of scientific exploration.

СЕМАНТИЧНИЙ АСПЕКТ ФОРМУВАННЯ МОТИВАЦІЙНОЇ СПРОМОЖНОСТІ СПОРТИВНОГО КОМПЛЕКСУ ЗАКЛАДУ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ

At the moment, the issue of forming and maintaining the physical and mental health of the population of Ukraine is more relevant than ever. The system of physical education in educational institutions is considered as one of the ways to promote physical culture and sports, as well as to form a healthy lifestyle among the population. However, it is possible to identify two main shortcomings of domestic SCs of higher education institutions, namely: the inconsistency of the existing range of premises and sports spaces with modern needs and the low motivational capacity of the architectural and spatial component of the sports environment of higher education institutions. Thus, we face the issue of forming a motivationally capable environment of the SC of HEIs, which would allow us to increase the interest of young people in physical culture and sports. It should be borne in mind that the work of perception is apperceptive (adding to the perceived) and is mainly determined by the subject's own and borrowed experience. The perception of the architectural (artificial) environment is not reduced to visual assessment, but is formed in relation to the functional content and human needs in the environment of a certain purpose. The functional aspect involves ensuring that the nomenclature of structural elements of the AC of a higher education institution meets the requirements of the training process and a certain level of comfort. The aesthetic aspect involves the analysis of morphological features of the environment in terms of compositional and artistic requirements. The semantic aspect of the formation of the environment of the SC of the HEI involves the analysis of functional and morphological features of the spatial organisation in terms of their semantic significance. The semantics of architecture is defined as sign mental formations embodied in specific forms, due to which the four main functions of the system of meanings are realised: orientation - search and finding of signals; interpretation - separation of signals (content, features) and identification of relations between them; identification of signals - establishing the identity of semantic values; recognition - comparison of the received signals with the system of standards (features) with further decoding of input data. Semantics of form - involves the expression of the embedded ideas and information by means of architectural and compositional expressiveness and the form of the object. Visual accessibility of the training process -provides free access to the visual perception of the functional process of a part of the sports spacesof the complex by unexpected spectators and visitors. Sports symbols - filling the environment withsports symbols is another effective means of informing visitors and casual spectators about thefunctional component of the complex and its focus on sports. The harmonious integration of sportssymbols into the architectural and artistic solution will increase both the information content of theenvironment and its attractiveness. The use of architectural semantics in the formation of thearchitectural environment of the SC of a higher education institution will increase its motivationalcapacity, which will positively affect the process of physical education and the promotion of sportsand a healthy lifestyle.

Digitization of learning environment of higher education institutions: conceptual foundations and practical cases

Digital transformation involves the use of digital technologies for rebuilding processes and increasing their efficiency. It is confirmed by the results of the research on transformational processes in various spheres. This research paper deals with the development (modernization) of digital learning environments of higher education institutions, which creates conditions for creating models of real production and social processes by means of modern digital technologies. It will strengthen the competence potential of all the stakeholders of higher education institutions, which train specialists in digital technologies. The need to upgrade the existing educational environments of higher education institutions in the context of crisis situations related to global challenges (for example, COVID-19) or the specifics of a specific country (the war in Ukraine) or an educational institution is substantiated. The research paper specifies a conceptual model of the next generation digital learning environment of a higher education institution, which involves the distribution of resource distribution and provision of integration of resources, data and users according to three levels (micro, meso and macro levels), and provides the cases of its implementation in National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. The monitoring data are presented both at the level of external (development of the component composition of the environment) and internal (change of organizational processes according to the students’ demand) design of the environment. The need for designing a change management system at the level of a higher education institution or its structural subdivisions is identified.

Specificity of Organizational and Methodological Ensuring the Learning Process in the Information and Educational Environment

The article identifies the main trends characterizing the modern educational space; analyzed the content characteristics of the informational educational environment as a pedagogical system that combines informational educational resources, computer learning tools, educational process management tools, pedagogical techniques, methods and technologies. Based on the analysis of the scientific works of leading scientists, the main characteristics of the informational educational environment (variability, contextuality, polyfunctionality, adaptability) are determined, and their explanation is given; the functions of the informational educational environment are determined and the structure is substantiated. It has been proven that the information and educational environment consists of the goals and tasks of the organization of the project process, as well as the program-methodical (normative support for the functioning of the educational system), information-knowledge (a set of competencies), communication (interaction of the subjects of the educational process), technological ( modern teaching aids) components. The specifics of the use of advanced educational technologies in the information and educational environment are clarified. The conclusion that the information and educational environment of higher education institutions in modern conditions solves the following tasks is substantiated: improving the quality of education and the level of professional competence formation; ensuring the availability of educational services; lifelong learning; preparing students for the use of information technologies in an open digital society; increasing the efficiency of the education system in general.

THE IMPACT OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS ON PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

The successful completion of projects depends on effective project management, particularly in the complex and dynamic environment of higher education institutions. Business intelligence (BI) tools can assist identify problems and hazards, facilitate decision-making, and offer insightful information on how projects are performing. The purpose of this study is to examine how BI systems are used for project management in higher education institutions and to suggest a successful project management strategy that incorporates BI systems. To determine the present state-of-the-art in project management and BI systems in higher education, the research technique includes a rigorous literature review of academic and industry sources. An analysis of a case study from a university that has used a BI system for project management is also included in the Study. The study's conclusions imply that BI systems can enhance project management at higher education institutions by supplying precise real-time data on project performance, risks, and problems. By facilitating better decision-making, early issue detection, and prompt problem resolution, the deployment of a BI system has improved project management, according to the case study analysis. The study suggests a successful project management strategy that incorporates BI systems in higher education institutions based on the findings. The following steps make up the suggested strategy: Project objectives and scope definition, project planning, BI system implementation, BI system performance monitoring, project issue and risk identification and mitigation, and continuous improvement are the steps in a project. The suggested framework can assist institutes of higher learning in managing projects successfully by making use of BI tools. The paper also outlines the critical success criteria for BI system deployment in project management in higher education institutions, such as top management support, transparent communication, user training, and efficient data governance.

Integration of Electronic Resources in Library Environment of Higher Education Institutions: Advantages and Challenges

The purpose of this research is to study the integration of electronic resources in the library environment of higher education institutions, to identify the benefits and challenges associated with this process. The study considers the main areas of development of electronic resources, such as access to digital libraries, online catalogues, and databases, providing quality information support for research and teaching activities of students and faculty, as well as improving the digital user service system. The research methodology involves a multi-level approach to analysing the integration of electronic resources in the library environment of higher education institutions. Firstly, a thorough review of the scientific literature is conducted, covering the issues of introducing digital technologies and electronic resources in the educational process and library work. Subsequently, practical examples of successful library modernisation in higher education institutions libraries are analysed in order to identify key success factors, advantages, and challenges on the way to the development of digital tools and services. The research results will help identify trends and prospects for the development of digital libraries. A particularly important element of the methodology is conducting surveys and interviews with professionals in library science, faculty members, and staff of higher education institutions. Engaging various groups of employees will enable a detailed understanding of the needs, attitudes, and beliefs regarding the integration of electronic resources, as well as their impact on the learning and cognition process. The application of these methods in a comprehensive manner will contribute to the creation of a generalised understanding of the problem and the development of effective recommendations for the integration of electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions. Scientific novelty. The study focuses on the changes that are taking place in the libraries of higher education institutions as a result of digital transformation and highlights the importance of adapting to new technologies and user needs. Conclusions. The research findings indicate that integrating electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions provides a range of benefits, such as increased accessibility and diversity of information resources, improved service, and user convenience. On the other hand, there are challenges that require attention, such as ensuring information security, facilitating library staff adaptation to new technologies, and developing strategies for the successful implementation of digital innovations. The Influence of Collaboration, Participation, and Experience on Undergraduate Learner Engagement in the Online Teaching-Learning Environment

This study aimed to investigate the factors that influenced undergraduate learners’ engagement in the online environment in higher education institutions in the UAE. This quantitative study used an online survey that was distributed to undergraduate students at three universities in the UAE. Altogether, 126 responses were received, coded, and prepared for analysis. The findings indicated that the participants’ engagement levels in the online environment were influenced by their collaboration, learning opportunities, utilization of educational technology, and the learners’ relationships with their instructors and colleagues. The results also showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between the learners’ participation in online activities and their engagement levels. These findings have pedagogical implications in dealing with the complex and dynamic nature of the construct called learner engagement in the online environment and suggest providing undergraduate learners with real-life learning opportunities to enhance their collaboration, use of technology, and effective communication.

Information Technologies in Educational Management: Cultural Dimensions

The purpose of the article is to investigate the role of information technologies in educational management and their cultural manifestation. The research methodology involves the use of an interdisciplinary approach, as well as a set of methods: analytical, synthetic, cultural, which will allow a comprehensive consideration of the given issues and formulate reasonable conclusions. The scientific novelty lies in the systematic generalisation of educational management and its main development trends based on the influence of information technologies, as well as the identification of cultural intentions, taking into account the formation of the creative environment of higher education institutions. Conclusions. Digital information technologies are actively involved in the introduction into the educational sphere and its transformation, directly changing the algorithms of educational management and, in general, the principles of management activities in higher education institutions. Numerous technical capabilities have created a parallel virtual space where not only information is exchanged, but also other important activities take place: unlimited communication, self-representation, value transmission, and functional professional orientation in various spheres of activity, which determine the principles of organising society's life activities. Information technologies as a polymodal information and socio-cultural space undoubtedly act a subject of influence in the functioning of the educational sphere of society, actively generating new meanings, value orientations, professional competences and guidelines for society. Accordingly, systemic educational management should be based on information technologies that will facilitate the adoption of adequate management decisions within the framework of the formation of a humanistic educational paradigm, where one of the important factors is the principle of cultural creativity of the educational and socio-cultural space.
