Effect of Entrepreneur’s Behavior to the Transformation of Hi-Tech SMEs

The economic transformation needs the support of the micro level of enterprise transformation. As one of the main bodies of the market; Hi-Tech SMEs play the most active part in the market, promoting economic transformation. Current study on enterprise transformation mainly concentrated in manufacturing; there are few studies on the impact of entrepreneurial behavior on the success or failure of transformation of Hi-Tech SMEs. For this reason, this paper conducts a case study of Qi Wei Te solar energy corporation on this issue. The study finds that enterprise transformation follows the transition of entrepreneur’s behavior and the entrepreneur’s behavior affect the success or failure of the transformation. Magnificent dreams and business experience are the starting point of enterprise transformation. Learning behavior runs through the whole process of enterprise development. The inertia of thinking is the root of the enterprise unable to adapt to the environment. Network building behavior is adjusted, and then the internal and external social networks are adjusted to provide the guarantee for the successful transformation. On the basis of these, the paper puts forward the behavior pattern of entrepreneurs in the process of transformation.

Prioritizing Factors of Entrepreneurial University to Inculcate Enterprise Formation Pursuit Among University Graduates Using Analytical Hierarchical Process

The objective of this paper is to prioritize entrepreneurial activities in higher education institutions to inculcate enterprise development pursuit among university graduates. Various phases of enterprise development process are determined along with prominent activities of entrepreneurial universities through literature review. Problem formulation is done by structuring goal, objectives and alternatives into a hierarchical model in order to prioritize factors with the help of Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP). Experts of academic entrepreneurship are approached for pairwise comparison of factors on the preference scale of nine levels with the help of software tool Expert Choice 11. After recording judgments, preferences of all experts are combined in order to get overall priorities of objectives and alternatives. Results show that Internal Motivation has highest and Business Growth and Sustainability have lowest priority along with priorities of all other objectives of enterprise formation process falling between both. Moreover, University Incubation Center is prioritized among alternatives in order to achieve objectives. Sensitivity analysis of results is carried out with the help of Expert Choice in which weight of a single objective is varied to observe effect on hierarchical model. Research presents a complete picture to academicians and policy makers to determine role of universities for entrepreneurship development in country. It will also help government officials to allocate resources in a prioritized way in order to achieve specific objectives. .

Методические подходы к стратегическому планированию в виноградарско-винодельческих предприятиях

В статье обоснованы: актуальность стратегических целей предприятия, обуславливающих процесс его развития, помогающих управленческому персоналу в принятии решений в современных условиях хозяйствования; необходимость изучения факторов, влияющих на процесс стратегического планирования; разработка комплексной методики стратегического планирования, которая позволит виноградарско-винодельческим предприятиям максимально точно и эффективно определить направление своего развития в постоянно изменяющейся внешней среде с применением основных постулатов стратегии устойчивого развития и политики импортозамещения. Рассмотрены подходы отечественных ученых к прогнозированию и стратегическому планированию в виноградарско-винодельческих предприятиях. Разработана методика стратегического планирования для виноградарско-винодельческих предприятий Республики Крым на основании количественных и качественных методов принятия решений в условиях неопределенности с учетом системы ресурсоэкономичных эффективных мер по достижению стратегических целей и необходимости оперативного контроля результатов. Введено понятие контрольных точек для контроля эффективности исполнения стратегического плана предприятия и оперативной корректировки плана в случае существенных отклонений. Исследована зависимость валового сбора винограда от суммы осадков в прошлый вегетационный период по трем климатическим зонам Республики Крым с целью краткосрочного прогнозирования валового сбора винограда на будущий год и создания контрольной точки. Предлагаемая методика стратегического планирования позволит управленческому персоналу виноградарско-винодельческих предприятий систематизировать процесс стратегического планирования на предприятии с учетом стратегических целей предприятия на основании выбора стратегических альтернатив, формирования методов достижения стратегических целей с учетом максимальной эффективности использования ресурсов предприятия, обоснования системы контрольных точек, позволяющих определить, как эффективно выполняются стратегические цели предприятия, и провести своевременную корректировку.

Organizational and Managerial Activities in the Development Process of Successful SME Marketing Networks

The aim of this paper is to investigate how the development process of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) marketing networks is carried out, in terms of organizational and managerial activities, in successful networks compared to unsuccessful ones. In other words, this study investigates which activities are carried out in successful (compared to unsuccessful) SME marketing networks and how they are carried out. Although much attention has been focused on this phenomenon by both academics and practitioners, a high percentage of networks still fail. A qualitative approach based on multiple case studies allowed me to provide managers with a series of guidelines regarding the development process of successful SME marketing networks. The present study therefore represents a noteworthy academic contribution to marketing network theory and practice.

Methodical Estimation Basic Concepts of Organization Changess Requirements Level and Enterprisess Readiness to Their Implementation

The purpose of the article is to develop estimation’s methodical instrument of organization changes’ requirements level and enterprises’ readiness to their implementation. In the article essence, meaning and peculiarities of organization changes’ demonstration in the enterprises’ activity are defined. Methodical instrument’s development of enterprises’ readiness estimation for changes’ implementation and arrangements’ development to increase changes’ management effectiveness are very important in the conditions of growing change rates of global space, economic structures, rising information stream and speeding up the process of making management decisions. In the article the author classification of organization changes allowing increasing manageability process of organizational enterprise development based on the system principle of specific criteria’s accounting: reasons for changes’ arising, their targets and radicality. The proceeding of enterprise’s research conducting which is considered as complex hierarchical system was suggested and justified, the necessity of enterprises’ changes are determinated by hypergenous and hypogenous systems as a ground for estimation methods’ development of enterprises’ changes’ requirements level and industrial enterprises’ readiness to their implementation and also for factors’ systematization of multiplicative influence. In the article estimation’s methodical instrument of organization changes’ requirements level and enterprises’ readiness to their implementation is represented, which contains estimation complex methods of hypergenous and hypegenous environment and analysis of their collective influence on enterprise’s necessity and readiness to implement organization transformations.

Technological Research on CPC Product Development Process Based on Extenics

Experts hold the same opinion that the main processing mode of manufacturing industry in 2020 is based on CPC. Manufacturing industry information that CPC stands for is a significant signal of comprehensive competition. The paper suggests applying the extenics to the field of product development process ,setting up CPCs theoretical system and overall framework supporting technology, supporting the environment through supporting environment of simulation, developing a way in which an enterprise designs innovatively and adaptively for the product development process. And on the basis, a prototype system has been developed based on a web model to drive a rapid design, optimization and management of product development process of enterprises, which provides new ideas, methods and tools for enterprises to initiate the innovative model design and adaptive design for product development process.

CONCEPTS OF SCENARIO METHODS IN IMPROVEMENT OF AN ENTERPRISE

Purpose of the study, principal objectives, scope of the investigation, methods employed results and principal conclusion. Uncertainty makes both theoreticians and practicioners face new tasks to fulfil. Enterprises, in order to win the competitive struggle must constantly improve their processes and structures. On the other hand, thinking in the categories of the future becomes really difficult nowadays. This creates particularly convenient conditions to apply scenario methods. In connection with the above, the purpose of this study is to characterize the essence of scenario methods employed in enterprise development. The article addresses the issue of factors conditioning proper selection of methods in the enterprise development process, the principles of scenario planning and the opportunities to apply other techniques and methods in scenario planning.

Facing the Development of SMEs Based on Human Resources Management

SMEs are important part of the national economy. The level of human resources management in an enterprise ultimately determines the competitiveness of enterprises and effective development and scientific and rational management of human resources is the key to the business success. Therefore, how to strengthen and improve the enterprise human resources management are the urgent issues in the development process of current enterprises. The article analyzes the prominent problems in SMEs’ human resources management from human resource perspective, taking Zhengzhou Wuhua Lamp Company for example. Corporate Culture and Employee Mentality Capital Agree with Influencing Factor Analysis

In the enterprise development process, many companies put on the corporate culture and employee knowledge of psychological capital to stay in their respective functional areas, and can not really establish a humanistic ideas, nor will it recognize employees of psychological capital in the building of enterprise culture in the transmission and amendments to the role of corporate culture has led to the actual out of touch with employees, corporate culture can not achieve the desired results. In this thesis, 10000 employees survey, empirical study found that employees in the corporate culture and fit the psychological capital, intermediate variables and outcome variables was significant positive correlation, based on empirical analysis of comments and suggestions.

Understanding key factors in social enterprise development of the BOP: a systems approach applied to case studies in the Philippines

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive perspective on social enterprise development, leading to enhanced understanding of the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) marketplace.Design/methodology/approach – General systems theory is applied to case studies drawn from the Philippines, enabling the authors delineate system actors and their interrelationships, system objectives and strategies, key success factors and outcomes.Findings – The BOP social enterprise development process can be modeled from a systems perspective. Communicating Through Theatre: How Organizational Theatre Engages Researchers and Industrial Companies

In this article, we focus on the communicative aspects in action research (AR), and how we as action researchers have been inspired by working with a theatre company in enterprise development. The theatre showed us a different landscape concerning communication in the enterprise development process. We discuss how communication in AR traditionally is handled, and challenge AR by introducing how a theatre company creates engagement and involvement in the development process. Action researchers can enhance their research activity through using communication forms borrowed from theatrical performance in order to inspire and increase participants’ involvement in change processes.

An institutional analysis of the new product development process of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan

Since China and Taiwan became members of the WTO, conducting business in Greater China (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) has come to the fore. However, researchers point to the importance of understanding the similarities and differences of new product development (NPD) practices of Chinese small- and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The available literature does not elaborate clearly how and to what extent SMEs in Greater China manage their NPD practices, nor does it consider the contextual factors. This paper uses an institutional perspective to examine the interplay of government intervention, manufacturing systems and business approaches and its impact upon the NPD practices of SMEs in the three regions. In-depth personal interviews with 43 Chinese, 26 Hong Kong and 28 Taiwanese SMEs were undertaken to examine the respective similarities and differences in NPD practices and to compare and contrast the Chinese practices with those of their Western counterparts. The grounded theory approach was used to analyze the interview scripts. Based on the research results, a schema is proposed depicting the interplay and its impact on the NPD practices of Chinese SMEs.

The Emergence of Private Enterprises in China

This study examined the logic of capital accumulation by the private enterprises in China. The development process of private enterprises is divided into the stages of 'subcontractor', 'wholesaler', and 'cottage workshop'. The relation of incentive and risk in different stages of enterprise development and the factors of firm's growth is discussed.The study revealed that the formation of managerial and organizational capabilities by the introduction of outside resources is an important factor for the development of private enterprises.

Knowledge creation, its transfer, and the role of science enterprise education: A research agenda

SummaryOver the past 15 years, a crucial part of the U.K. Government’s agenda has been to develop industrial and innovation policies in support of entrepreneurship and the creation of new businesses. They included significant investment in an incubator fund, increased funding for the exploitation of technologies by high tech small firms and the establishment of nation-wide Science Enterprise Centres located within the higher education sector.This paper argues that to a large extent this policy has preceded evidence- based theory. The policy research agenda should focus on all stages of the nascent enterprise development process. Our definition of nascent entrepreneurship takes the business creation process back to the twin notions of an intention and a germ of an idea. A nascent entrepreneur is ‘someone who initiates serious activities that are intended to culminate in a viable business start-up’ (Aldrych, 1999:77). Research should address what these activities are and how long it takes to progress through the process.The paper suggests that the resource based view (RBV) should be extended to encompass nascent entrepreneurship in science enterprise. Theory should focus on knowledge development within the Nascent Entrepreneurial Unit (NEU) as a necessary resource. Aspects of knowledge acquisition in science enterprise are tacit and embedded in a network of relationships required to support venture development. The policy agenda should thus research the knowledge production process, where knowledge is known to be widely distributed amongst a transdisciplinary group of scientists, practitioners and professionals in investment and business support of NEUs. These impacts on what and how skills are taught in science enterprise. Examples suggest that business founding is based on team starts and this in turn implies that the human capital element may be crucial component on new enterprise.The paper argues that a policy research agenda should not only examine NEUs at different stages in their development, but also examine whether differences arise between sectors. Finally it suggests that there are subtle cultural and situational factors which affect entrepreneurial behaviour, and therefore that an international comparative study would be both a valuable and essential aspect.

From inferior to superior products: an inquiry into the Wenzhou model of industrial development in China

Although the vitality of small private enterprises as the prime mover of the substantial economic growth in Wenzhou is widely recognized, empirical research investigating the development process of such private enterprises is useful. Based on a survey of enterprises producing low-voltage electric appliances, we find that the entry of a large number of new enterprises producing poor-quality products was followed by the upgrading of product quality and the introduction of new marketing strategies. New organizational forms within the aquaculture industry: The fish‐farming enterprise as a ‘virtual’ organization

The international aquaculture industry is characterized by a global integration process with increasing competition across borders and continents. The rapid development of technology, the extended market rivalry due to new firm entries, and the elevation of quality standards in the international seafood market place a heavy strain on the strategy development process of aquaculture enterprises. In this article, we focus on the ties between strategic positioning in the market and the organizational configuration of the firm. The virtual organization is introduced as an organizational form for a dynamic fish‐farming enterprise. A virtual organization is characterized by flexible borders, emphasis on external cooperative relations and networks instead of ownership integration, and norm‐based relational contracts as focal governance mechanism. The results from an in‐depth, longitudinal study of a Norwegian fish farming enterprise are presented.
