Abstract
This study examines the meme phenomenon through the relationship between the survival method of meme, the brain of the MZ generation and the development of new media, and considers the development method of the meme phenomenon through the culture transmission form. The meme phenomenon does not appear because the MZ generation is inherently different from the previous generation. This is because the human environment to which selfish meme must adapt has been reorganized centering on new media, the brain suitable for meme delivery is the brain of the MZ generation, and the MZ generation is most optimized in the new media environment. In conclusion, this study interprets the meme phenomenon as a cultural transmission formed by combining methods such as play, empathy, and storytelling in the meeting of selfish meme, the MZ generation, and new media.
