According to UNESCO 2020 the level of international student mobility over the past 10 years has increased by 300%; and by 2025 the number of students who intend to study in other countries will have reached 4.9 million. Currently, special attention is paid to the training of foreign students in higher education, while the problem of socialization of students from the People’s Republic of China in Russian universities is given little space in scientific publications. The article presents theoretical foundations of the research, justifies the empirical methods of data collection, summarizes the results of the research conducted on the basis of the Moscow Pedagogical State University, which enable to present the structural and functional model of socialization of students from the People’s Republic of China in the process of music and pedagogical training in Russian higher education institution.
