Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of speech therapists training at the Speech Therapy Department of Moscow Pedagogical State University. The authors present a characteristic of the documents regulating the recent changes in the system of special (defectological) education. The article examines the state educational standards in the field of Special (defectological) education (profile: Speech Therapy), discusses the features of their implementation in educational programs of different years in order to actualize successful innovative solutions. According to the authors, the directions of speech therapist training proposed for discussion preserve the traditions of speech therapy education and ensure its fundamentality, practical orientation and effectiveness.
