Abstract
Additional professional retraining programs are designed to provide students with the opportunity to perform a new type of professional activity. Those who want to be able to teach fine arts and design can study at the corresponding additional program at the Moscow Pedagogical State University. The article analyzes the experience of implementing a professional retraining program for 15 years, formulates the conditions for successful work with future teachers.
