We describe a parallel processing code for solving the Landau—Vlasov equation with a collision term of Nordheim type. This equation is commonly used for simulations of heavy-ion collision dynamics. The code, which is written in FORTRAN'90 and uses the routines SHMEM of the CRAY T3E machine, can be easily implemented by means of the libraries of “message passing” type as MPI, and is therefore also well suited for running on a cluster of workstations. The code has a good speedup especially when using a large number of test-particles. It allows a full treatment of the collision term and opens a new chance for taking into account the dynamical effects on the equation of state.
