Abstract Collisions of two nuclei for bombarding energies between 20 and 100 MeV/ A are investigated by combining the Landau-Vlasov equation with a statistical fragmentation approach. The stage of a possible clusterization appears to be strongly dependent on the energy, such that the fragmentation occurs at a nearly invariant temperature ( T ≈ 6–7 MeV). Including conservation of total angular momentum we examine the competition between evaporation, fission and multifragmentation as a function of bombarding energies and impact parameters.
