THEORETICAL FRAMEWORKS SUPPORTING IT AND BUSINESS STRATEGY ALIGNMENT FOR SUSTAINED COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

In today's dynamic business environment, the alignment between information technology (IT) and business strategy is critical for organizations seeking sustained competitive advantage. This paper presents a comprehensive examination of theoretical frameworks supporting this alignment, aiming to provide insights into how organizations can effectively integrate IT capabilities with strategic objectives. The theoretical foundations explored include the Resource-Based View (RBV), which emphasizes leveraging unique resources and capabilities to achieve competitive advantage. Additionally, the Dynamic Capabilities Framework underscores the importance of an organization's ability to adapt and innovate in response to changing market conditions, highlighting the role of IT in facilitating agility and flexibility. The Strategic Alignment Model offers a structured approach to ensuring coherence between business strategy, IT strategy, and organizational infrastructure, enabling seamless integration and alignment. Value Chain Analysis provides a framework for understanding how IT can add value across different stages of the value chain, informing strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Moreover, IT Governance Frameworks, such as COBIT and ITIL, offer guidelines for effective management and governance of IT resources to support strategic objectives. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is also examined as a methodology for redesigning business processes to align with strategic goals and leverage IT capabilities. Through an exploration of these theoretical frameworks, this paper aims to equip organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve sustained competitive advantage through the strategic alignment of IT and business strategies. The Determinants of Success in the Implementation of Information Technology in Moroccan Companies: Exploratory Case Study

The study, which is being conducted in the context of the widespread use of information technology in Moroccan companies, focuses on examining the success factors of IT implementation. This is a crucial step in maximizing the value of information technology investments. The goal is to address concerns regarding the delay in digital transformation and the role of information technology in establishing a sustainable and irreplaceable competitive advantage. The research methodology utilizes a qualitative approach, specifically a single case study with semi-structured interviews for data collection. The theoretical framework incorporates the resource-based view (RBV) and contingency theories. The key findings of the study emphasize the challenges encountered during information technology implementation, especially concerning the complementarity of organizational and human resources with information technology resources. Based on these challenges, the factors contributing to successful information technology implementation are categorized into three groups: pre-implementation phase, alignment of information technology strategy, and collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders involved in the implementation process.

To enhance customer (or patient) experience based on IoT analytical study through technology (IT) transformation for E-healthcare

Over the past few decades, there were drastic changes in information technology across all the domains except healthcare. A new era of Information Communication Technology (ICT) has grown to higher potential by implementing eHealth systems to improve healthcare quality and simplify the problems and challenges health professionals and customer/patient have faced. The purpose of this qualitative, multiple case study was to explore information technology transformation for eHealth, which provides a broad scope to pursue research on how Information Technology (IT) strategy and implementation in eHealth using the latest technologies strategies to implement advanced eHealth systems. These strategies and implementation can provide cost-efficient and effective services to customer/patient instantly. E-Health combines medical information, public health, healthcare services, data delivery, and data security strategies through the internet using the latest web/mobile-based and big data technologies by providing simplified and instant access to customer/patient information. Due to the continuous and advanced technology transformation phase, healthcare industries are still migrating their legacy and outdated eHealth systems and applications to provide a better scope of experiences to their customer/patient. In this research, achieving effective and efficient experience is generated through IoT Sensors as it gets generalized into several different areas of classifications specific to the latest information technology trends, such as the role of smart portal technologies, cloud migration, patient data privacy and security, electronic health records (EHR), cloud infrastructures, internet of things (IoT), big data, and deep learning strategies, eHealth usability, and accessibility.

Cultural Empowermnet of Communities Through Information Technology in Giripurwo Village, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Empowering communities based on culture can be achieved through information technology strategies provided to groups in the form of learning guides. Giripurwo is a village with intriguing cultural potential and high market value, yet this potential is not widely known by the communityThis research aims to: a) describe the conditions of the cultural village community of Giripurwo in Gunungkidul, b) identify weaknesses within the Giripuro cultural village community in Gunungkidul, c) develop a design for a cultural-based community empowerment model through information technology, d) assess the feasibility of the empowerment model guide based on culture through information technology, e) evaluate the effectiveness of the empowerment model guide based on culture through information technology.This study is a development research using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this research are the cultural arts groups in the Giripurwo cultural village. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGD). Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research indicate that: a) the Giripurwo cultural village community already possesses skills in traditional cultural arts, b) the Giripurwo cultural village community has low skills in utilizing information technology as a medium in managing cultural arts, c) the cultural-based community empowerment model is implemented through information technology training for target groups, d) the cultural-based community empowerment model through information technology is deemed suitable for use with a "very good" category, e) the cultural-based community empowerment model has effectiveness for widespread application.

The Application of Information Technology in Physical Education Teaching and Training

This research determined the application strategy of information technology in the learning of physical education, and sports and training of Hunan Institute of Physical Education. The study conducted a parallel analysis of the assessment collected from both sports-student-respondents and physical education teacher-respondents. This research which used a purposive sampling technique adopted the descriptive-comparative-correlational research design. It was conducted during the second semester of school year 2022-2023. The results garnered from both group of respondents were compared, analyzed, and interpreted. Based from the findings, majority of the students are below 18 years old, mostly females, and were from grade 10. majority of the teachers are 31 -40 years and 41-50 years old; are females; and have up to 16-20 years of teaching experience. On the application of information technology in the learning of physical education in terms of learning experience, the assessment showed that the students and teachers agreed, denoting a high level of the use of technology for improved learning experience when it comes to increased flexibility as in virtual learning, providing individual-oriented experience, use of gaming systems in gym classes to enhance learning experience, etc. The assessment scores of the teachers on the use of IT for learning physical education were significantly higher compared to those of the students. From the perspective of the students and teachers, technology was used for analyzing sports performance at a high level because coaches apply information technology for visual feedback and replays, high-definition cameras are used to monitor players in the pitch, data analytics are used to study and understand the team, information technology is applied in sports to provide measurable training routines, for Live-tracking performances, etc. The assessment scores of the teachers on the use of information technology for sports and training were significantly lower compared to those of the students. The negative correlation between the use of information technology for sports and training and the learning experience of the students suggests that a low-level usage of information technology for sports and training was connected to a poor learning experience of the students. This study examines how a firm’s DSP affects firm performance. Drawing on the competitive dynamics perspective and contingency view, we demonstrate that DSP influences competitive actions through dual pathways. First, DSP enables firms to take competitive actions that are more appropriate given the level of environmental uncertainty (captured by industry dynamism). In particular, our findings suggest that a proactive DSP enables relatively more innovation-oriented actions in dynamic industries while enabling relatively more operations-oriented actions in less dynamic industries. Second, DSP plays a facilitating role in firms’ execution of competitive actions such that a firm’s value from its proactive DSP is enhanced when there is a fit between the type of the firm’s competitive actions and its level of environmental uncertainty. Specifically, we find that firms with a more proactive DSP achieve superior firm performance from innovation-oriented actions in dynamic industries and from operations-oriented actions in less dynamic industries. Taken together, our findings suggest that a proactive DSP not only allows firms to take appropriate competitive actions that fit their environmental conditions but also contributes to firms’ performance by facilitating the execution of these appropriate actions, thus enhancing their efficacy. Waqf Fundraising Strategies: A Comparison between Indonesia and Malaysia

The article aims to understand and analyze the various strategies that have been implemented in raising waqf funds in Indonesia and Malaysia. The data sources used come from Scopus indexed journals, ensuring the accuracy and credibility of the information. The results of the research show that there are ten main strategies that have been implemented in the context of waqf in Indonesia and Malaysia, namely digitalization and information technology strategies, government policy strategies, local cultural system strategies, management strategies, marketing and waqf objects, new strategies offered, strategies to strengthen legal legality, strategies for understanding the behavior of waqf donors, waqf education and socialization strategies, waqf institutional strategies and word of mouth strategies. Thus, this article provides a comprehensive view of waqf fund collection strategies in Indonesia and Malaysia, which can be a basis for further development in the context of Islamic finance and waqf fund management.

Technological innovation strategies of information and communication technology enterprises: A comparative study of China, US, and Europe

To investigate the innovation strategies of ICT enterprises, this paper conducted Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) semantic topic analyses. Taking large ICT enterprises in China, the US, and Europe as representatives, the innovation strategies were compared. The results show that US and European firms conducted strategic innovation direction management earlier. However, Chinese firms have strong learning abilities and can quickly catch up. US and European firms are more effective in innovation quality control. Chinese firms have an advantage in innovation output maintenance. The results hold significant reference value in guiding the innovation strategies of ICT enterprises and government policy-making.

Energy Management System Technology in Smart Grid

This paper extensively examines the critical role of Energy Management System (EMS) technology within the smart grid framework. By harnessing advanced technologies like distributed energy storage, intelligent energy management, electric vehicle charging, intelligent energy dispatching, and fault perception diagnosis, the smart grid promises heightened power system efficiency, reliability, and environmental consciousness. In today's dynamic energy landscape, the integration of renewable sources introduces a unique challenge due to their inherent volatility. EMS emerges as the linchpin, offering real-time monitoring and data-driven optimization to ensure grid stability amid fluctuating supply. The smart grid, with advanced information technology and intelligent control strategies, leans heavily on EMS for seamless energy production, transmission, and consumption. However, challenges persist, encompassing stable energy supply, security, infrastructure upgrades, and cross-border standardization. Yet, with sustained technological innovation and collaborative efforts, a future of intelligent, sustainable, and reliable power systems is attainable. In conclusion, EMS integration into the smart grid not only signifies technological progress but also heralds a monumental shift towards a greener, more sustainable energy landscape. Research on the Integration Strategy of Secondary School Teaching and Information Technology in the Background of Internet

Abstract The form of teaching using the combination of Internet resources and information technology has not yet been perfected and popularized in many secondary school curricula, and the teaching conditions are relatively backward. In order to change the status quo of teaching, this paper proposes a strategy for integrating teaching and information technology. Through the TPACK model, information technology and secondary school teaching will be integrated hierarchically. The integration strategy is divided into three steps: considering the matrix covariate factors, using the trace regression model to mathematically model the quantile trace regression model, and solving and statistically inferring the parameters, on the basis of which the learning effectiveness prediction model is constructed to predict the learning effectiveness of students. Using empirical analysis, the behavioral effects of secondary school teaching classrooms under information technology integration were analyzed, and the mean differences in the results were compared as a reflection of the effectiveness of the strategies proposed in this paper. After a controlled experiment, the usefulness of integrating technology for secondary school teaching was analyzed. The results of the empirical study showed that the students’ data of 123.62%, 128.66%, and 110.54% in nine subjects of mathematics, physics, and geography, respectively, were >100%, and the teachers’ indirectly guided behavior was more significant. The total achievement range of the students in the experimental class is around [540,560], the mean value is distributed around 550 points, which is 30 points higher than the control class, and the integration strategy has achieved good results.

Advancing Cyber Resilience: Bridging the Divide Between Cyber Security and Cyber Defense

The field of cyber security is characterized by its diverse range of techniques, tools, and concepts, and it is closely interconnected with the security of information and operational technology. The distinguishing characteristic of cyber security is in the adoption of offensive information technology strategies with the intention of achieving adversarial objectives. Nevertheless, the broad and unrestricted utilization of the word "cyber security," frequently used interchangeably with information security or IT security, has the potential to create misunderstandings among both consumers and professionals in the security field. The merging of these disciplines obscures important differences between them, notwithstanding their interconnectedness. This paper advocates for a significant suggestion aimed at security leaders: to limit the usage of the word "cyber security" to refer specifically to security practices that are closely intertwined with and dependent on information technology and operational technology environments and systems, solely for defensive objectives. In the context of computer network security, cyber defense plays a crucial role as a mechanism that addresses adversary acts, protects key infrastructure, and ensures information assurance for a wide range of enterprises, government agencies, and interconnected networks [3]. This study primarily examines the interplay between cyber security and cyber defense, emphasizing the development of the notion of cyber resilience. This paper presents a new conceptual framework for understanding cyber resilience, shedding light on the complex interplay between these several domains. Furthermore, in this model, the authors critically examine the tactics and measures necessary to enhance the resilience of cyber security and cyber defense in the face of escalating cyber threats. The article examines CRRT and MACS history, purpose, and future directions. At EU level, through the policy of innovation there is opportunity for more robust resilience and joint defense against ever-changing landscape of threat.

Systematic Literature Review: Analisis Implementasi Manajemen Risiko TI Menggunakan Framework COBIT di Sektor Industri Jasa

The use of Information Technology (IT) is an important part of all business activities, especially in the service sector. It is important to ensure the security, availability and integrity of their systems. The impact of failure in IT Risk Management greatly influences success. The implementation of IT Risk Management is needed to be able to help companies in the event of losses. In its use, a framework is needed that functions to identify, evaluate and manage existing risks. Therefore, this research will show the COBIT framework that is suitable for managing existing risk management. This research was carried out using the Systematic Literature Review method which started from the stages of formulating research questions, literature search, literature selection, data extraction and discussion aimed at answering Research Questions. In this research, 25 articles were found which were used as literature sources. The research results show that COBIT 2019 is the version of COBIT most often used in IT Risk Management in the industrial service sectors. In implementing COBIT, companies face various challenges such as lack of in-depth understanding of COBIT, lack of work process documentation and lack of operational standards for risk control and incompatibility of IT strategy with company strategy. This research also found that there are 8 points of COBIT implementation strategy to help service industry companies achieve organizational goals more effectively and efficiently through IT risk management.

Understanding Technological Orientation as a Predictor of Organization Performance: Evidence from State Corporations in the Energy Sector in Kenya

Kenya's energy sector plays an important facilitative role to other sectors of the economy and thus drives economic productivity and industrial growth. Statistical evidence shows that the key objectives of the energy sector, such as increasing electricity generation capacity, fostering access to services and information, promoting stakeholder satisfaction, and upgrading requisite technology, have not been accomplished in the recent couple of years. For this reason, this study examined the effect of technology orientation on the organization performance of government entities in Kenya's energy sector. The research was based on a resource-based view and a balanced scorecard. The research design was cross-sectional, including inferential and descriptive analysis. The study's target group included 11 Kenyan state corporations with 887 managers. A sample size of 285 respondents was chosen using a stratified random selection procedure. The respondents were managers in the fields of human resources, accounting, marketing, operations, corporate affairs, procurement, and supply chain management, as well as information and communication technology, administration, finance, and business strategy development. A structured questionnaire was used to acquire primary data. Quantitative data were analyzed and presented using figures and tables, as well as descriptive and inferential statistics. Tables and pie charts were used to convey quantitative data. The findings of the research revealed that technological orientation has a positive effect on the performance of state corporations in Kenya's energy sector. The findings of the study contribute to the body of knowledge, thereby validating the propositions of the resource-based view and dynamic capabilities theory. Further, the conclusion of this study forms an important basis for anchoring policy guidelines on strategic orientation practices that foster technological orientation and corresponding resource commitment for promoting communication, automation, technological change, and research and development with the object of optimizing organizational outcomes. Future researchers should execute replicative research in other sectors and industries to validate the findings of this study.

Analysis of Nike's Marketing Strategy Based on Adolescent Consumer Psychology

With the advent of the era of big data, social media platforms have led to tremendous changes in the consumption environment and habits of young consumers, and the marketing methods of enterprises have also been completely subverted. Among many sporting goods brand companies, Nike, as a leading company, has made full use of the rapidly developing information technology and implemented new marketing strategies through social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to further strengthen its competitive advantage in the field of sporting goods. This paper uses the literature analysis method as the main research method, and combines the actual cases in the history of Nike to analyze and discuss the marketing strategy of Nike in the young consumer market. Through the analysis of psychological needs such as the satisfaction of personalization and self-expression, the construction of social status, the strengthening of brand loyalty, and the pursuit of trends and fashion, emphasis on product quality and performance, and exploration of personal identity and escapism, the author can better understand the needs and mentality of young consumers, so as to formulate effective marketing strategies and enhance Nike's competitiveness in the young consumer market. It is now concluded that advocating social justice causes, promoting environmental sustainability and emphasizing innovation, supporting young peoples creative exploration, etc., can improve Nikes marketing strategy, better meet the needs of young consumers, and build deeper relationships with them, ensuring Nikes long-term success in a highly competitive market.

Utilizing Information and Communication Technology in Scalable Management Strategies for Teacher Development

INTRODUCTION: Teachers are human resources who play an important and strategic role in the success of learning so they must fulfill adequate competencies. Teachers with low competence will not be able to produce students who excel both academically and non-academically. Efforts to improve teacher competency include education and training. 
 OBJECTIVE: This research aims to see how information and communication technology is used in developing teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies. 
 METHODS: This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this research was obtained from various relevant sources. 
 RESULTS: The results of this research found that increasing teacher pedagogical and professional competence through the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and scalable management strategies opens up new perspectives on the importance of investing in the development of teaching staff. 
 CONCLUSION: The alignment of modern pedagogical approaches with the use of technology and efficient management strategies allows teachers to develop as more effective and competitive educators. Increasing pedagogical competence allows educators to create more dynamic and relevant learning environments for students. By incorporating innovative teaching methods, such as the use of digital tools and resources, teachers can adapt learning to students' diverse learning styles.

Examining the Influence of Website Quality on Citizen’s E-Loyalty in Domestic Tourism in Jordan: The Role of E-Trust and E-Satisfaction

The fast development of the Internet has raised the number of government-related websites and the variety of e-services available. Despite tourism’s critical significance in supporting the national economy, relatively few researches have been conducted on the influence of tourism website quality dimensions on electronic loyalty among citizens (e-loyalty), particularly in the Jordanian domestic tourism context. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that impact the e-loyalty of citizens toward the e-government services offered by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Jordan, considering the mediating influence of citizens’ e-satisfaction and e-trust, primarily following Oliver’s (1999) e-loyalty model. The survey questionnaire was adopted as a main strategy to collect and analyze primary data and to investigate the relationships between variables. Statistical processing was applied using IBM SPSS version 22 package and Amos version 25 for path analysis as the main statistical software package. The results indicated that citizens’ e-loyalty toward the governmental tourism-related website in Jordan is moderate, demonstrating that citizens are generally comfortable with the e-services provided. Furthermore, the results suggest that e-satisfaction and e-trust both play a mediating role in the connection between dimensions of website quality (specifically, information quality and personalization) and the e-loyalty of citizens. This study contributes to the theory by combining the relationships among website quality dimensions, citizen e-trust, e-satisfaction, and e-loyalty, particularly in the unique setting of Jordan’s domestic tourism sector. The results provide valuable insights for policymakers and tourism sector managers, aiding them in the implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) strategies that facilitate citizens’ transactions and encourage them to participate effectively in e-government activities, thereby boosting the kingdom’s economy and gross domestic product (GDP). The government also recommended enhancing awareness programs and employee training in order to enhance the e-services offered to citizens.

Exploration of the Application of Information Technology in the Teaching of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities

This study aims to explore the current situation and optimisation strategies of the use of information technology in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities. Under the background of the information society, the education field is facing the major challenges of how to use modern information technology to improve the quality of education, optimise the allocation of educational resources and enhance the learning effect of students. Through a combination of literature analysis, empirical analysis and case study, this study thoroughly analyses the specific application, practical effects and optimization strategies of information technology in the teaching of ideological and political theory in colleges and universities. This study aims to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the teaching reform of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities, with a view to promoting the improvement of teaching quality.

Digitalisation and IT Strategy in the Hospitality Industry

This article explores how digitalisation is impacting the hospitality industry and assesses the evolving role of an Information Technology (IT) strategy in the digitalisation process. The research approach is qualitative and inductive, based on six in-depth interviews with senior IT professionals in the hospitality industry. Findings indicate significant differences in the role of an IT strategy in guiding digitalisation in the companies studied. The depth of information provided by the interviewees supports the development and application of a model that profiles the companies regarding their degree of digitalisation and technology integration. Analysis of interview material allows the identification of key properties for successful digitalization: process agility, workforce adaptability, and technology manageability, along with a clear data culture and ensured cybersecurity. However, disparate systems and technologies, and a lack of data integrity, are key issues that leave hospitality companies with difficult choices in progressing digitalisation initiatives. The applied model and identification of key properties for successful digitalisation contribute to the development of related theory and can also be used as a reference point for senior IT professionals working in the industry.

Business strategy and use of information technology toward ASEAN MSMEs performance in the post-pandemic crisis

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of business strategy and the use of Information Technology (IT) on the MSMEs performance in the ASEAN. By understanding the relationship between business strategy, use of IT, and MSMEs performance, the results of this study can explain aspects and indicators that can influence MSMEs performance improvement. The research methodology employed in this study is descriptive. Furthermore, the research design employed by the authors is a descriptive-analytical design incorporating primary and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques were surveys, questionnaires, and literature studies on ASEAN MSMEs. The analysis results indicate that business strategy and the utilization of Information Technology (IT) have a positive and significant impact on the performance of MSMEs in the ASEAN region. MSMEs that effectively implement strategic business practices and leverage IT demonstrate stronger performance indicators within each country. Therefore, developing the right business strategy and optimally utilizing information technology is essential, as well as improving the performance of MSMEs in facing international market competition.
