Integration of Electronic Resources in Library Environment of Higher Education Institutions: Advantages and Challenges

The purpose of this research is to study the integration of electronic resources in the library environment of higher education institutions, to identify the benefits and challenges associated with this process. The study considers the main areas of development of electronic resources, such as access to digital libraries, online catalogues, and databases, providing quality information support for research and teaching activities of students and faculty, as well as improving the digital user service system. The research methodology involves a multi-level approach to analysing the integration of electronic resources in the library environment of higher education institutions. Firstly, a thorough review of the scientific literature is conducted, covering the issues of introducing digital technologies and electronic resources in the educational process and library work. Subsequently, practical examples of successful library modernisation in higher education institutions libraries are analysed in order to identify key success factors, advantages, and challenges on the way to the development of digital tools and services. The research results will help identify trends and prospects for the development of digital libraries. A particularly important element of the methodology is conducting surveys and interviews with professionals in library science, faculty members, and staff of higher education institutions. Engaging various groups of employees will enable a detailed understanding of the needs, attitudes, and beliefs regarding the integration of electronic resources, as well as their impact on the learning and cognition process. The application of these methods in a comprehensive manner will contribute to the creation of a generalised understanding of the problem and the development of effective recommendations for the integration of electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions. Scientific novelty. The study focuses on the changes that are taking place in the libraries of higher education institutions as a result of digital transformation and highlights the importance of adapting to new technologies and user needs. Conclusions. The research findings indicate that integrating electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions provides a range of benefits, such as increased accessibility and diversity of information resources, improved service, and user convenience. On the other hand, there are challenges that require attention, such as ensuring information security, facilitating library staff adaptation to new technologies, and developing strategies for the successful implementation of digital innovations. The Influence of Collaboration, Participation, and Experience on Undergraduate Learner Engagement in the Online Teaching-Learning Environment

This study aimed to investigate the factors that influenced undergraduate learners’ engagement in the online environment in higher education institutions in the UAE. This quantitative study used an online survey that was distributed to undergraduate students at three universities in the UAE. Altogether, 126 responses were received, coded, and prepared for analysis. The findings indicated that the participants’ engagement levels in the online environment were influenced by their collaboration, learning opportunities, utilization of educational technology, and the learners’ relationships with their instructors and colleagues. The results also showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between the learners’ participation in online activities and their engagement levels. These findings have pedagogical implications in dealing with the complex and dynamic nature of the construct called learner engagement in the online environment and suggest providing undergraduate learners with real-life learning opportunities to enhance their collaboration, use of technology, and effective communication.

Information Technologies in Educational Management: Cultural Dimensions

The purpose of the article is to investigate the role of information technologies in educational management and their cultural manifestation. The research methodology involves the use of an interdisciplinary approach, as well as a set of methods: analytical, synthetic, cultural, which will allow a comprehensive consideration of the given issues and formulate reasonable conclusions. The scientific novelty lies in the systematic generalisation of educational management and its main development trends based on the influence of information technologies, as well as the identification of cultural intentions, taking into account the formation of the creative environment of higher education institutions. Conclusions. Digital information technologies are actively involved in the introduction into the educational sphere and its transformation, directly changing the algorithms of educational management and, in general, the principles of management activities in higher education institutions. Numerous technical capabilities have created a parallel virtual space where not only information is exchanged, but also other important activities take place: unlimited communication, self-representation, value transmission, and functional professional orientation in various spheres of activity, which determine the principles of organising society's life activities. Information technologies as a polymodal information and socio-cultural space undoubtedly act a subject of influence in the functioning of the educational sphere of society, actively generating new meanings, value orientations, professional competences and guidelines for society. Accordingly, systemic educational management should be based on information technologies that will facilitate the adoption of adequate management decisions within the framework of the formation of a humanistic educational paradigm, where one of the important factors is the principle of cultural creativity of the educational and socio-cultural space. Social Justice Leadership Capabilities for Pre-Service Teachers in Contemporary Times: An Education Policy Perspective

In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, social justice leadership (SJL) has become more imperative for pre-service teachers in higher education institutions (HEIs). Significantly, HEIs face a serious need for change that encourages the advancement of SJL with the aim to develop knowledge, equitability, accessibility, and connectivity. The problem is that pre-service teachers still find it challenging to assert themselves without rejection, fear, or prejudice, whilst they are uncertain of how to enact SJL during their studies in HEIs. As such, this conceptual paper aims to explore social justice leadership (SJL) capabilities for pre-service teachers in contemporary times from an education policy perspective. An emphasis on SJL capabilities can be directive in terms of pre-service teachers’ capacity regarding a leadership style that encourages engagement in school leadership practices. Having employed social justice leadership theory and a conceptual research design, stipulations in the Revised Policy on Minimum Requirements for Teacher Education Qualifications (MRTEQ) were analyzed by means of interpretive policy analysis. The significance of policy analysis of this kind is that it can contribute to the empowerment of pre-service teachers on how to enact SJL in HEIs. The findings showed that SJL is vital because it can assist pre-service teachers in constantly questioning if social justice is actively applied in teaching and learning environments. Also, a socially just environment in HEIs can contribute to an awakening of pre-service teachers’ SJL abilities, and an application of transformation reflection can assist pre-service teachers to enact SJL. This paper offers a social justice leadership capabilities framework (SJLCF) that recommends that HEIs should advance their understanding of policy options, create dialogue spaces and promote transformative activism so that pre-service teachers can be in a position to enhance social justice practices.

Формирование межкультурной компетентности обучающихся в онлайн- и офлайн-пространстве

The article substantiates the significance of students' formation of intercultural competence in the era of educa-tional reforms. It is emphasized that such skills are especially important for those bachelors whose future pro-fessional activity is closely connected with building communication with representatives of another culture. Re-sults of the conducted research among students of “Philology” and “Foreign Regional Studies” aimed at deter-mining the level of intercultural competence in the environment of modern students are described. It demon-strates the role of educational subjects in the communication mediated by digital tools. The authors propose measures for the formation of intercultural competence in the digital educational environment of higher educa-tion institution. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the procedural, substantive and technological aspects of intercultural competence formation can become conditions for effective international interaction in online and offline space.

FEATURES OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TECHNOLOGY TEACHERS FOR SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION OF UKRAINE

The article "Features of Professional Training of Future Technology Teachers for Scientific and research activities in institutions of higher education of Ukraine" examines the problems related to the training of future technology teachers for scientific and research activities. The article explores the main reasons that lead to insufficient preparation of students for scientific and research activities, as well as ways to solve these problems by creating a research environment and implementing a system of forming the readiness of specialists to carry out scientific and research work in the process of professional activity. The recommendations described can be applied in the practice of higher education to improve the training of future technology teachers for research activities.
 Furthermore, the educational programs and curricula of higher education institutions engaged in the training of future technology teachers were analyzed, revealing insufficient attention to the formation of scientific and research skills. To solve this problem, it is proposed to introduce a suitable research environment in higher education institutions and a system of forming the readiness of specialists to carry out scientific research work in the process of professional activity.
 Studies have shown that the preparation of future technology teachers for scientific and research activities in Ukraine requires serious changes in teaching, learning, and organization of the educational process. This will allow students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for effective scientific activity in the future and the development of science in Ukraine.

Use of Partial Least Squares to define the Characteristics in the Environment of Higher Education Institutions and their Effects on Entrepreneurial Academic Education, a case study: Torreon, Mexico

Because university incubators have a favorable effect on student’s entrepreneurial intents, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are essential to the delivery of entrepreneurship education. By analyzing the perceptions of students who received master diploma in management-business fields in Torreon, Mexico in 2021, the aim of the research is to identify the internal and external aspects of the HEI environment and their impact on entrepreneurial education using Partial Least Squares methodology with the help of the SmartPLS software, 156 responses from the statistical tool provided 120 responses. Three of the original hypotheses were confirmed, while four variables—two associated with HEI ecosystem external factors and two with entrepreneurial education elements—had to be removed since they were not accepted. The findings will lead to a better comprehension of the elements influencing master students' entrepreneurial perspective to create stronger relationship with elements of the HEI ecosystem.

CONCEPTUAL PRINCIPLES OF IMPROVING SPECIALISTS’ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN THE INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AT HIGHER SCHOOL

The new paradigm of education orients the pedagogical community to the variability ofeducational systems and institutions, the flexibility and dynamism of the professional training process, itsadaptation to social needs, the demands of the population and employers, and the wide introduction ofmodern pedagogical technologies into the educational process. This requires organizational and structuralmodernization of administrative, educational, research and other components of higher educationinstitutions aimed at improving the quality of education, forming the creative personality of a modernspecialist. An important task is the integration of Ukrainian higher education institutions into theEuropean and global scientific and educational space using the resources of the modern information andeducational environment. The conceptual principles of improving the specialists’ professional training,aimed at organizing the educational process in the information and educational environment of higherschools with the aim of increasing specialists’ professional competence with the help of a modernizedtraining system, are defined, scientifically substantiated and described in detail. Their functional purposeis clarified – the creation of a theoretical and methodological basis for the design, modeling andimplementation of the optimal process of specialists’ professional education through the formation and implementation of an effective information and educational environment in the regulatory and legal fieldof higher education in accordance with the requirements of regulatory and legal acts relating to the qualityof higher education. The expediency of using the potential of IES to strengthen the educational, cognitiveand professional, developmental activity of learners and scientific and pedagogical staff of higher schoolsis proven. A number of tasks for the effective implementation of professional training in the informationand educational environment of higher education institutions are outlined. Measures for the creation andimplementation of IES in a higher education institution are suggested.

THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS ON THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN IT EDUCATION

This manuscript explores the heightened importance of information, information technology, and computer modeling in the training of engineering bachelor's degree students in the context of a rapidly developing global information society. It discusses the creation of an intellectually rich information and professional environment in higher education institutions, aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of modeling, optimization, and design tasks. These tasks are vital for the professional advancement of students in an increasingly informatized world. Addressing the gap between current teaching practices in computer-mathematical modeling and the growing utilization of CALS-based information technologies, the study introduces an information-subject environment (ISE). This environment is designed to enhance the students' informational and constructive competencies by integrating various components, including general technical disciplines, database structures, optimization methods, and the construction of information models. The manuscript also highlights the significance of situational technological processes in manufacturing, where multiple input parameters are considered, requiring sophisticated methods of mathematical statistics and experimental design. Concluding, the manuscript emphasizes the necessity of developing new teaching technologies and engaging students in project-research activities, ultimately aiming to bolster their professional competencies in line with the demands of the global information society.

SOCIAL CONTEXT OF FORMATION HEALTH-SAVING COMPETENCE OF FUTURE BACHELORS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

The article on the basis of theoretical analysis of the issue under investigation is defined different approaches to the hierarchy goals of professional training of future bachelors of physical therapy in higher education institutions. These include social goals, general and theoretical goals of professional education; goals of studying certain professional or special disciplines; goals of studying additional courses; goals of particular sections and topics; goals of particular training sessions. Considering the social context of the organization professional training of future bachelors of physical therapy in higher education institutions are identified and characterized by five leading conceptual provisions on the formation of health-saving competence to the future bachelors of physical therapy as a pedagogical system. The article highlights and characterizes the requirements for the readiness of the teachers of higher education institutions for the implementation of quality professional training of future bachelors of physical therapy directed at the formation of their health-saving competence: formed professional, general cultural, and humanitarian, civil and social, information and communication competence, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. In the article is established that the function of the health-saving environment in higher education institutions is the formation of the health-saving competence in future bachelors of physical therapy in combination with didactic, educational, stimulating, and psychological functions. The paper establishes that it is the social context for the formation of health-saving competence is a certain indicator of the processes of socialization in future bachelor of physical therapy in higher education institutions.

Exploring academics’ perspectives related to the adoption of Augmented Reality applications within an e-learning environment in Higher Education institutions: The role of AR self-efficacy, innovation resistance, perceived AR fatigue and technology involve

The learning environments is in continuous change and relies heavily on new technologies. Augmented Reality (AR) applications and tools are a novel e-learning tools that could be an essential component to the educational process and can accelerate students’ learning in virtual classrooms. Augmented reality applications focus on the student's involvement in the learning process and try to close the gap between student's capabilities and the real-life experience. This paper intends to explore university academics' perspectives and acceptance to use Augmented Reality applications within an e-learning environment in Higher Education institutions. A conceptual model was developed based on Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT), Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) and Social Cognitive Theory (SCT). PLS-SEM was used to analyse data from 275 university academics in two large universities in Saudi Arabia. The study findings showed that subjective norm, AR self-efficacy (SE), perceived AR fatigue, technology innovativeness and innovation resistance significantly influenced the intention to use AR as e-learning tool. Moreover, complexity showed insignificant results. The implications of this study are discussed and proposals for future research initiative are presented.

Management and Governance of Public and Private Multicampus Universities in a Slippery Higher Education Environment in Ghana

This paper analysed the management and governance of public and private sector Multi-campus Universities (MCUs) in the increasingly turbulent and competitive environment of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Ghana. University for Development Studies (UDS) and the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) were case studied. The robustness of their governance and management systems were critically examined in the light of the intense competition among HEIs in the country. The qualitative research design and comparative case study approach were adopted for the study. Information was collected from eight principal officers of the two MCUs through face-to-face interviews. The information was subjected to content analysis. The results revealed that there are no significant differences in the management and governance of the two HEIs. Both of MCUs do not appoint senior or principal officers to manage their campuses and neither do they statutorily empower the Campus Heads to function effectively. However, they both recognized the need to properly structure the office of the Campus Heads to enable them to effectively participate in the governance system at the top level. The paper recommended that PUCG should appoint a Director of Works and Physical Development (WPD) to handle and manage key issues relating to physical resources and development. In addition, both universities should appoint senior or principal officers (Pro-Vice Chancellors or Vice Presidents) as Campus Heads and place them as top managers instead of lower managers as it exists currently. Finally, the two MCUs should decentralize significant autonomy to the Campus Heads to enable them to effectively manage and coordinate the daily operations and activities of the campuses.

Constructing a Demand-Driven College English Learning Environment in Higher Education Institutions

ABSTRACT This paper aims to introduce a new approach to enhance college English learning through an intelligent method that constructs a learning environment from a demand analysis perspective. The proposed model utilizes a bionic algorithm to structure the algorithm and adopts a highly efficient energy generation method to calculate the interaction energy. This study aims to find the optimal solution to the constraint problem by using a process of continuous generation, expansion, and replacement of magnetosomes. The methodology employed in this research involved constructing the college English learning environment in colleges and universities from a demand analysis perspective. This was achieved by analyzing the needs and requirements of college students and designing an ecological virtual learning environment (EVLE) that meets their demands. The findings of this study indicate that the proposed EVLE for college English is effective in improving the effectiveness of college English learning. The experimental verification results support the effectiveness of the proposed model in creating an interactive and engaging learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of English language skills. It is an innovative approach to college English learning that utilizes intelligent methods to construct a demand-driven learning environment that enhances students’ learning outcomes.

USING DIGITAL BUSINESS SIMULATORS IN ECONOMIC AND MANAGERIAL DEVELOPMENT OF MASTER’S IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

The article substantiates the use of digital business simulators as the type of digital educational resources for decision-making knowledge, skills, and attitudinal and behavioral readiness development in economic and managerial training for a Master’s in Information Technologies. The use of digital business simulations as the tool for immersive practices implementation in the educational process provides the possibility to conduct imitated experiences to serve an educational and research-related purpose. Contract Design and Principal-Agent dilemma simulation usage allows the modeling of situations realistically imitating reality and helps to form a basic attitude and understanding of contractual design and information asymmetry concepts in the economy and managerial science. The concepts are crucial for future professionals working in IT, interacting in teams, and developing in people- and task-management areas. The use of multi-user simulated environments for educational interaction of the groups of students provides a close to a realistic experience of acting in life- and work-specific situations. These experiences serve to ignite interest, improve motivation to learn, and establish the ground for a further deeper discussion on the topics and formation of the attitudinal and behavioral components of the economic and managerial competence as part of the soft skills of the Master’s in IT students. The educational activity described and analyzed in the article proved to be useful for both educational and research-related purposes. The mistake, made by the organizer of the activity provided additional learning possibilities for the group and valuable input for the research. The students showed involvement, dedication, and active participation in the active learning imitated experience. The group showed learning progress toward conventional optimality in the simulated concepts. Used digital education resources provided acceptable ease of use and satisfying functionality of the analysis tools. The behavioral specifics, based on the gender differences were unpredicted, but valuable results of the educational experience. Further efforts will be put to the improvement of the technical integration of such simulators into the digital educational environment of higher education institutions and the development of methodological support for the use of such simulators in the educational process.

INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES AS A MEANS OF MODERNIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The article is devoted to the consideration of current issues of educational innovation in the context of modern paradigmʼs formation in higher education.As a result of the conducted research, the essence of innovative pedagogical technologies as a means of modernizing the current educational environment is established. Based on the analysis of the regulatory documents of the education development strategy, the author substantiates the natural prerequisites for updating the educational policy in the context of European integration and global challenges of today as well as effective implementation and proactive approval of progressive achievements of education and science in the practice of domestic universities. In terms of the raised problem, the content of technological processes as a pedagogical category is revealed. In addition, the pedagogical meaning of innovations and the process of innovations in technologies as well as methods of modern education are clarified. Moreover, the meaningful content of key concepts in the field of technological education is examined.The article highlights the fundamental theoretical and methodical foundations of the formation of an improved system of promising technologies, aimed at the development of communicative, creative and professional competencies of students. The practical levers of the productive use of modern pedagogical technologies in the training of future competitive specialists of the innovative type are outlined. The specifics of the targeted application of methodological innovations in the interactive environment of higher education institutions based on the principle of their integration with traditional forms and methods of organizing educational and cognitive activities are revealed.In the research, the descriptive method, the method of critical analysis of scientific and methodical sources, generalization and systematization of practical experience as well as the method of systematic analysis are used.

Integration of education for sustainable development in higher education institution: problems and perspectives

The article examines the problem of implementation of education for sustainable development (ESD) at higher education institution (HEI). The research reveals the role of universities in promotion of the principles of sustainable development in the dimension of the Ukrainian education. Emphasis is placed on the preparation of future teachers for the implementation of ESD tasks in their professional activities. It has been established that a modern teacher should master the best skills how to put into practice the sustainable development goals (SDGs), be able to form the sustainable development competencies (SDCs) in students, develop individual and collective responsibility for the sustainable development of society, etc. The issues of the integration of ESD in higher educational institutions at the present stage of the development of higher education have been studied, in particular: the inconsistency of the content of curriculums for the training of future teachers and the current needs of society, the difficulty of providing application of an interdisciplinary approach in the training of students of pedagogical HEIs, the unpreparedness or lack of motivation of teachers to include the SDGs in their teaching, insufficient educational and methodological support, lack of clear criteria for evaluation of students’ learning outcomes and their readiness to perform professional tasks in favour of sustainable development of society, etc. It has been established that overcoming these barriers lies in the area of transformation of the educational environment of HEIs, reorientation of professional education toward preparation of future specialists to the professional activity according to the principles of sustainable development. Significant changes are required in academic and professional curriculums for training future teachers and in the content of pedagogy and training methods for students of pedagogical HEIs, ensuring the availability of teaching aids, manuals and tutorials aimed at ESD. Also the basic set of SDCs should be established for future teachers to achieve sustainable development of society within the framework of their professional responsibility, and the respective indicators should be identified to monitor and evaluate the progress achieved.

Diagnostic technology for assessing the degree of formation of health care competence among bachelors of humanities and pedagogical faculties

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that the modern period of the development of Ukrainian society is characterized by important reforms that are due to the European direction of the development of our state, and this determines the corresponding changes in the presentation of educational and methodological material, taking into account especially all external extreme and non-standard events, to which, accordingly, I have already become accustomed the educational process in Ukraine (the open invasion of the Russian Federation and the global pandemic of COVID-19). This dramatically changed the conditions in which the process of obtaining higher education is carried out, taught students and students to work remotely, use various platforms for obtaining educational and methodological materials, led to the implementation of various forms of education (using Zoom, E-Learn, Moodle, Google-Class , Campus and other platforms). Educators try whenever possible, taking into account the level of danger, to conduct classes in various forms of education. The system for evaluating the educational activities of higher education graduates also needs corresponding changes, the main criteria of which should be transparency, objectivity and uniformity. The purpose of the study is to characterize the diagnostic technology for determining the levels of formation of health-saving competence among bachelors of humanities and pedagogical faculties in the educational environment of the university. Objectives of the study: 1) To determine the peculiarities and the need to create diagnostic technologies based on the use of ICT for assessing the level of competence development of higher education students; 2) To characterize the author's diagnostic technology for assessing the level of formation of health care competence among bachelors of humanities and pedagogical faculties in the educational environment of higher education institutions. Methods used in the work: a) analysis and generalization of information sources; b) compilation of received information; c) modeling, design and development of diagnostic technology using innovative technologies to assess the level of formation of health-saving competence among bachelors of the humanitarian and pedagogical faculty of NUBIP, which will be an effective and efficient tool for evaluating the results of the educational process in the conditions of the educational environment of the university, which is carried out under the long-term influence external negative extreme factors. Results: The analysis and generalization of information sources indicate that: 1) the use of innovative technologies for evaluating the results of professional training of future bachelors in the educational environment of higher education institutions is especially relevant in the conditions of the systematic long-term destructive influence of such factors as the COVID-19 pandemic and the open military invasion of the Russian Federation, which caused changes in the implementation of the process of professional training of specialists and assessment of its quality in accordance with the existing critical conditions; 2) the author's diagnostic technology for assessing the level of formation of health-preserving competence among bachelors of humanities and pedagogical faculties in the educational environment of higher education institutions is characterized (according to such structural components as motivational-value, cognitive, health-forming and organizational-management and assessment levels such as (unsatisfactory, sufficient, optimal, progressive)). All these methods became the basis of the computer program «Health-Start.Up». We see research prospects in the approbation and implementation of the author's proposed technology of pedagogical evaluation in the process of professional training of future bachelors of humanitarian and pedagogical faculties.

ЗАКОНОМЕРНОСТИ И ПРИНЦИПЫ ФОРМИРОВАНИЯ СТИЛЯ ЖИЗНИ СТУДЕНТОВ ВУЗОВ КУЛЬТУРЫ

The article contains a detailed description of the patterns and principles of the formation of students’ lifestyle of universities of culture of the Russian Federation. The educational and cultural environment of the higher educational institution of the Russian Federation, according to the author, is a complex, multicomponent, constantly changing education depending on the cultural context. This pedagogical phenomenon is a unique form of the existence of students of higher education institutions of culture in the Russian socio-cultural space, where conditions and opportunities for full self-expression of their individuality are created. The author focuses on the educational environment as an important factor in the organization of the socio-cultural space of students of higher education institutions of culture, which is defined for these students as educational and cultural and aimed at creating optimal conditions for the professional formation and social development of students’ personality of higher education institutions of culture in the context of socio-cultural communication. The educational environment of cultural universities contains cross-cultural, organizational-technological, educational-professional and socio-educational components in which students’ lifestyle, life activity and life creation are taught.
