Abstract

The article substantiates the significance of students' formation of intercultural competence in the era of educa-tional reforms. It is emphasized that such skills are especially important for those bachelors whose future pro-fessional activity is closely connected with building communication with representatives of another culture. Re-sults of the conducted research among students of “Philology” and “Foreign Regional Studies” aimed at deter-mining the level of intercultural competence in the environment of modern students are described. It demon-strates the role of educational subjects in the communication mediated by digital tools. The authors propose measures for the formation of intercultural competence in the digital educational environment of higher educa-tion institution. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the procedural, substantive and technological aspects of intercultural competence formation can become conditions for effective international interaction in online and offline space.
