On the functioning of the Law «On Languages in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)» in the city of Yakutsk (based on the results of the questionnaire on Articles 19-23, 33)

In modern times, the functioning of languages in public space requires state regulation, the main goal of which should be the preservation and development of multilingualism and support of minority languages. The national politics in the field of preservation and development of the languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation is based on the implementation of a number of measures at the legislative level. Russia adopted the Law “On the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation”; its national republics have their own laws on languages regulating the functioning of languages on their territory. In Yakutia, on October 16, 1992, Law of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) No. 1170-XII “On languages in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” was adopted, a study on the implementation of which became one of the projects of the state program of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) “Preservation and development of state and official languages in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for 2023.” The project “Monitoring the implementation and compliance with the requirements of articles of the Law on Languages in Yakutsk of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” was proposed by the Department of Stylistics of the Yakut Language and Russian-Yakut Translation of the Institute of Languages and Culture of the North-East of the Russian Federation of the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. In order to implement the project, the department’s team developed a questionnaire on the articles of the Law “On Languages in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” for two target audiences: specialists from organizations to whose work the articles of the Law are directly related, and the population. The purpose of the proposed work is to analyze the results of a survey conducted on articles 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 33 among specialists of organizations and the population of the city of Yakutsk. The study used statistical and descriptive methods, as well as data processing and analysis methods. The results of the study are structured as follows: first, the full text of the considered article of the Law “On Languages in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” is presented, then an analysis of a survey among employees of the institution and the results of a survey among the population are presented, followed by recommendations for the implementation of the article of the Law.

The linguistic landscape of the Neryungrinsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): an analysis of bilingual signs of educational institutions

According to Article 35 of the Law on Languages of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), state and municipal institutions are required to have official signs for both official languages of the Republic, Yakut and Russian, and for districts densely populated by indigenous northern minorities, for their languages, which are defined by the law as official languages. The aim of this research is to analyse the errors made in translating the official signs of educational institutions in the Neryungrinsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). To accomplish this objective, the following tasks were carried out: 1. Collecting and sorting photographs of signs of educational institutions; 2. Analysing the source text in Russian, i.e. highlighting the order of presentation of information about the institution; 3. Analysing the translated text, i.e. evaluating the accuracy of the translation and identifying translation errors; 4. Categorising translation errors into five groups: graphic errors, spelling errors, errors in translating abbreviations, word order errors and grammatical errors; 5. Linguistic analysis of the identified errors; 6. Development of the correct version of the translation of the signs. The research uses statistical counting and comparison methods to identify the schemes of presentation of information about institutions on signboards, methods of observation and comparison of signboard texts to develop the most optimal translation option in the presence of several translation options for the same information, and methods of analysis and synthesis to describe translation errors and justify the correct translation option. Practical recommendations in the form of schemes and vocabulary developed in the course of this study are universal and can be applied to other organisations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); this is the reason for the relevance of the study. The analysis outputs are applicable for training translators at M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, citing the scientific, practical, and linguodidactic potential of this work.

Philosophical and social comprehension of labor in the creative society (in memory of the professor Tamara Mikhailovna Mikhailova)

The 21st century is characterized by the development of new forms in the social aspects of labor; labor influences the formation and functioning of the development of a creative society in the digital era. Many researchers pay attention to the ideological problem caused by the development of technologies and intelligent systems in the information space, but it is important to pay attention to the societal essence of labor, since labor is not only a means and a process for obtaining material results, but also has broad social significance. Labor forms relationships that determine the social status and identity of the individual; the socio-philosophical content of labor prevents the emergence of a new phenomenon of the precariat and fills it with meaning and value. Labor in a creative society plays a role in creating and maintaining economic stability, increasing self-esteem and self-determination. The article shows the importance of addressing the topic of socio-philosophical aspects of the content of work through the prism of the life path and works of Dr. Tamara Mikhailova, Professor of the Yakutsk State University, later M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. The article uses methods of analysis, synthesis and comparative analysis to consider the basic concepts and ideas related to the philosophy and social essence of labor. The socio-philosophical essence and function of labor in the creative economy of the 21st century requires constant scientific research, the search for new solutions to respond to trends and challenges of society, to improve the quality of human life.

About mentoring in higher education

Mentoring has proved most successful in educational practice of the past years and in modern management as a form of increasing professionalism and a technology for effective management. The educational potential of mentoring is based on a person-oriented approach to a developing person, and subject-subject relationships with him. Thanks to mentoring activities, the personal professional competence of students and young specialists is increased through the internalization of positive experience, standards of excellence and values of professionalism. The article describes mentoring models implemented in the modern context. It presents the Mentoring Project developed by A. V. Mordovskaya, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. The practice of implementing mentoring programs in Russian universities is considered.

Risks in the Labor Market of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): Regional Civil Forum-2023

On March 2, 2023, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) saw the opening of a regional civil forum “Man of Labor: New Challenges and Opportunities”. As part of the discussion platform No. 1 “Decent work as the basis for human well-being”, a strategic session “Risks in the labor market of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)” was held with the participation of ministries and departments, representatives of science and education, and the public. The work of the groups was concentrated on three tracks, according to which the moderators proposed to formulate the following blocks of the project presentation: the problem field, the benefit (effect) of solving the problem, and the packaging of the solution. The list of tracks of the strategic session covers the system of social and labor relations and creates risks in the labor market, caused mainly by internal factors. The sections formulated by the groups cover the influence of external factors as well. Based on the results of the strategic session, five groups developed recommendations to the State Assembly (Il Tumen) of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the State Committee of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) for employment, and the M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. All the proposals are united by the desire for a balanced labor market and guaranteed employment, for which it is proposed to conduct a comprehensive career guidance work. The working groups are interested in the employment of graduates in jobs that provide a decent quality of life for young people, which will help reduce social tension, a favorable demographic and migration situation in the region. In addition, local communities are concerned about the increased participation of industrial enterprises in the socio-economic development of the territory of presence. The results of the strategic session in the form of practical recommendations to legislative and executive authorities, educational institutions emphasize the need for consolidated decisions of the state and society.

STUDY ON THE VISCOELASTOPLASTIC PROPERTIES OF POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE AND NANOCOMPOSITES WITH INCREASED WEAR RESISTANCE BASED ON IT. PART 1. MATERIALS, TEST PROGRAMS AND BASIC PROPERTIES

This is the first (introductory) article in a series of articles devoted to a comprehensive experimental study and modeling of the viscoelastoplastic properties of polytetrafluoroethylene and a number of composites with increased wear resistance based on it, obtained in recent years in the laboratories “Technology of Polymer Nanocomposites” and “Polymer Composites for the North” of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University by introducing layered silicates (mechanically activated kaolin and serpentine, magnesium spinel) and short basalt or carbon fibers as fillers. Data from quasi-static tensile tests of these materials under different loading programs are presented: a family of stress-strain curves (until failure) at different strain rates, loading and unloading curves at different strain rates, creep and recovery curves for different stress levels, etc. The basic scalar characteristics of materials are determined (instantaneous modulus, yield strength, stress and strain at failure depending on the loading rate, etc.), the influence of the composition and proportion of fillers on them, and their strain rate sensitivity are analyzed. After mechanical tests, changes in the microstructure of PTFE and composites with different filler contents in the destruction zones of the samples were studied using a scanning electron microscope. An initial analysis of the volume of test data accumulated over 2 years revealed high deformability of materials, pronounced hereditary properties, the ability of materials to creep (flow) under constant load and accumulate irreversible (plastic) deformation, very high strain rate sensitivity, a strong influence of small amounts of fillers on the structure and mechanical properties. A more detailed presentation of the entire volume of test data and effects found, a systematic study of the viscoelastoplastic properties of these materials with different filler contents and their detailed comparative analysis as well as detection of connection with wear resistance are the topics of subsequent articles in the series in 2023-2025.

Integrating МGIS Micromine Origin & Beyond into the educational process at the Geological Prospecting Faculty of the M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University

Currently, the geological fild places special attention on modern technology and computer programs. The article describes the collaboration between the North-Eastern Federal University and LLC «Micromine Rus» aimed at educating students in modern technologies of the mining and geological industry. The article considers the issues of training geological specialists at the Geological Prospecting Faculty of the North-Eastern Federal University with the direct support of Micromine Rus and integrating Micromine Origin & Beyond software into the educational process. Students engaged in geological modeling in the computer class can visualize and understand the geological characteristics and features of deposits, participate in the student league of the international engineering championship «CASE-IN». This allows graduates to acquire digital competencies essential for successful employment and quick adaptation to the industrial process at mining and geological enterprises.

Features of the formation of the coasts of Chukotka and the Koryak highlands

Long-term expeditionary studies of the Geography Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University of the Arctic coast of Russia (1969 – 2015) have provided extensive material on hydrology, channel morphodynamics and geomorphology of the estuaries of large rivers from the Northern Dvina to the Kolyma. The joint work of the Moscow State University and the M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University made it possible to signifiantly expand the geography of research to the coasts of the Chukchi and Bering Seas. Based on the analysis of geological and geomorphological data and an array of published and archival materials, it was possible to establish patterns and specifi features of coastal and estuarine processes in the fial phase of stabilization of the post-glacial ocean transgression. Over the past 7-5 thousand years, floding of low-lying hilly coastal plains, river valleys and fjords has occurred. The active impact of the wave activity of the sea led to the erosion of the upper part of the underwater slope, the restructuring of its profie and the retreat of accumulative forms towards the land and the creation of modern outlines of the coastline. The sections of the coast extended into the sea, composed by a thickness of loose quaternary sediments, were partially eroded by waves, and sediments were involved in longitudinal and transverse movements, forming braids and embankments, which led to a general alignment of the coastline. Currently, in conditions of rising sea levels, the general trend towards the restructuring of the underwater slope and the coastal zone persists and can be extremely dangerous for coasts composed of strongly icy sandy-loamy alluvial-lacustrine deposits. A further increase in global temperature will signifiantly soften the climate of the Arctic coasts, cause the degradation of permafrost, thawing of underground ice and accelerate the process of retreat of coastal abrasion ledges, the sea edge of river deltas. Taking into account the regional geological and geomorphological features of the coasts of the Chukchi and Bering Seas, it should be expected that a possible rise in sea level will lead to thawing and degradation of permafrost rocks and vein ice.

ВЛИЯНИЕ СОЦИАЛЬНОЙ РЕКЛАМЫ НА ЗДОРОВЫЙ ОБРАЗ ЖИЗНИ СТУДЕНТА

Healthy lifestyle and its advertising play an important role in ensuring demographic growth and strengthening the health of the Russian population. Attempts are being made to apply it, but in terms of their content, scope and systematic nature, they often do not correspond to the possibilities of advertising a healthy lifestyle. The means of modern promotion of a healthy lifestyle are outdoor advertising, television, radio and social advertising in print media, social films, educational programs. Social advertising is a type of communication, the purpose of which is to draw attention to the current problems of society and its moral values. The article discusses the importance of social advertising on a healthy lifestyle of students of the Institute of Medicine, M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. An anonymous survey was conducted in the form of a questionnaire for 30 respondents. The fundamental principles of the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students, which makes it possible to preserve and strengthen health, were studied; the peculiarities of the influence of social advertising on the preservation and development of students’ health and the formation of a healthy lifestyle among them were highlighted; a number of measures to improve the quality of social advertising for the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students were proposed.

Evaluation of indicators of physical development and quality of life of students of M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University

The aim was to evaluate the indicators of physical development and quality of life in students of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU).Material and methods. The study involved 755 students of NEFU. at the age of 17–20, Mongoloid and Europeoid races, among which there were 273 (36.16%) girls and 482 (63.84%) boys. The studies were conducted on the basis of voluntary informed written consent. The survey included the determination of anthropometric parameters, assessment of the quality of life and questionnaires. Identification of the main characteristics of students' health was carried out through a medical examination.Results. An analysis of morphological indicators revealed differences in the physical development of students of the Mongoloid and Europeoid races of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In the analyzed groups, there were significant differences in body length depending on race. The highest indicators of body length are determined in persons of the Europeoid race, the smallest values - in students of the Mongoloid race. The study of quality of life indicators found a decrease in the psychological component of health among the respondents, due to the lack of readiness of the components of the professional and personal perspective and the inability to carry out psychological regulation of their behavior, which serves as an obstacle to their adaptation to independent living. At the same time, the indicators of the physical component of the health of the examined students remain, in most cases, within the normal range.Conclusion. Analysis of the results of the study of the physical development of NEFU students indicates that representatives of the Mongoloid race living in the territory of Yakutia are characterized by growth below average, low density, and a small body surface area compared to representatives of the Europeoid race. The level of physical development in most of the examined persons is assessed as average, and in 37.2% of students the functional state of the circulatory system is characterized by tension in the mechanisms of adaptation, which may be due to the adaptation of the body to new living conditions.

100 YEARS TO FIRST ALL-RUSSIAN MEETING OF ZOOLOGISTS, ANATOMISTS AND HISTOLOGIST AND MODERN HUMAN ANATOMY

The content of the article is a verbatim report of the speech under Title «100 years of Russian anatomy (on the anniversary of the founding of the Scientific Society of Anatomists)», included in the scientific program of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation «Morphological Aspects in Practical Medicine and Biology», dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of the Department of Human Anatomy of the Medical Institute of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University as part of the annual XIII National Congress with international participation «Ecology and Human Health in the North», which took place in Yakutsk City (Russia, Sakha Republic) on December 8, 2022. The congress was also dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the former Yakut Soviet Socialist Republic of USSR and the 65th Anniversary of medical education in Yakut Republic. In the report dedicated to the Anniversary of the founding of the first professional scientific community of anatomists, histologists and embryologists in the history of the Russian state - the All-Union Society of Zoologists, Anatomists and Histologists (later - the All-Union Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Embryologists - AUSSAHE), which took place from December 15 to 21 1922 in Petrograd (later - Leningrad and renamed Saint-Petersburg) provides information about the initiators of the convocation of the meeting, its preparation and conduct, the content of the work and key reports of anatomists presented at the meeting. The meeting was initiated by a prominent Russian zoologist, specialist in animal morphology, Doctor of Zoology, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rector of Petrograd State University Vladimir Shimkevich, as well as the famous Russian Histologist, Professor Alexander Dogiel - the Founder of the Russian scientific journal «Archive of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology», Professors Vladimir Tonkov, Konstantin Deryugin, Nikolay Koltsov and others. Founded in 1922 at the I All-Russian meeting, the All-Russian Society of Zoologists, Anatomists and Histologists was at its IV All-Union meeting in 1930 renamed into the All-Union Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Zoologists, and then, at the V meeting in 1949 - into the All-Union scientific society of anatomists, histologists and embryologists or AUSMSAHE. AUSMSAHE in September 1991 at its last XI meeting in Minsk ceased to exist.The author noted the anatomical reports of the meeting, which laid the foundation for the entire subsequent development of Russian anatomy as a science and the problems of its current state.

Подготовка инженерных кадров с высшим образованием из числа местного коренного населения в Чукотском филиале Северо-Восточного федерального университета имени М. К. Аммосова

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the key role of branches of federal universities in the training of personnel for remote regions of the Russian Federation from among the indigenous local population using a branch of M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (hereinafter NEFU) as an example. The paper sheds light on the stages of formation and the main areas of development of the Chukotka branch of NEFU, taking into account the needs of the region and trends in the diversification of economic sectors of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation. Scientific novelty of the study lies in determining the organisational and pedagogical conditions necessary for the targeted development of branches of higher educational institutions in remote subjects of the Russian Federation in order to train engineering personnel from among the indigenous local population adapted to work in extreme natural and climatic conditions of the Far North. As a result, a target model for the development of the Chukotka branch of NEFU has been elaborated based on a specific strategy and a clear action programme, which will make it possible to replenish the talent pool for the main vital sectors of the economy, such as electric power and heat power industries, in the Far North from among the indigenous local population living in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

THE RELEVANCE OF THE APPLYING AND DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL TEACHING PROGRAMS AT THE MORPHOLOGICAL DEPARTMENTS OF MEDICAL UNIVERSITIES

Traditions in the education of any country have always been the basis for building a national educational system, since only folk traditions accepted in society and tested by life are axiomatic. The need to meet the current and future needs of society, the economy, and the labor market forces the departments of medical universities to seriously transform teaching programs, technologies, and educational policy in general to meet the current and dynamically changing demands of society. This article aims to summarize the experience of creating, implementing and developing additional teaching programs at the morphological departments of medical universities in Russia and neighboring countries. As materials for the study, the content of the reports of the interregional workshop «Relevance of the implementation of additional teaching programs in anatomical departments» within the framework of the XII National Congress with international participation «Ecology and human health in the North» (December 2, 2021, Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Analysis of the materials presented at the workshop showed that all additional teaching programs implemented at the departments or on the scale of the university can be implemented at the pre-university stage, at the level of all specialist courses, residency in various clinical specialties and advanced training in the system of continuing medical education. In the conditions of growing competition in the market of educational services, the search for sources of additional funding, medical universities are actively transforming, striving to meet the needs of specialists of all levels of training. forgings. Under these conditions, the classical departments of fundamental medical education are faced with the urgent task of finding new directions for increasing effective activity, including full-scale participation in the implementation of various levels of additional teaching programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the same time, the introduction of new teaching programs and forms of education should not destroy the classical methods and approaches, the effectiveness of which has been tested by time, primarily with the use of classical anatomical preparations and technologies.

Distance Learning in Language Courses Under the Constraints of the Covid-19 Pandemic: The Impact of Face-To-Face Learning on Student Motivation

The goal of the study is to establish and analyze the opportunities offered by online learning of language courses based on practical experience, what advantages and drawbacks of such learning can be found, and what are its prospects in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. The study provides substantiation for the relevance of studying distance learning of language disciplines in the COVID-19 pandemic and presents various approaches to researching the specific features of online language learning. The article presents the results of a case study of online learning of language courses in different age and professional groups of students of the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, Russia. The teaching of theoretical courses of the language cycle virtually does not suffer in terms of efficiency and effectiveness from the transition to fully online learning, while the teaching of practical courses should at best be combined, or blended because direct, personalized contact with the teacher is important for the development of students’ learning motivation. That said, being deprived of such contact does not bring any harm to language students, especially when it is preceded by an extended period of instruction with personalized teacher-student contact. Online teaching of language courses offers the students the same opportunities as traditional classroom learning, with the exception of direct contact that results in the development and maintenance of students’ learning motivation.

Reforms introduced by Hokkaido University

The coexistence of new technologies and cultural traditions allows search and finding related answers to the latest questions in educational development. Reforming the higher education system passes without breaches of national identity and demonstrates the raised efficiency of reforms. In this paper issues in higher education reforming have been considered by the example of Hokkaido University. The Management Staff of the university got an expanded authority; however, modernization of the higher education system has links with the international exchange system. The Hokkaido Short-Term exchange program has been provided since October, 1997. In 2014 Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (Yakutsk) and the University of Hokkaido signed the Protocol for establishing an intent to enhance promotion and development of new Master Degree Programs, applying resources of Russia and Japan. Thus, Hokkaido University has changed a model – based on following standards of leading countries— and started attempts to rethink a mission of its own. The Management staff set middle-, long-term goals, taking into account the expert community judgments but the internalization strategy surely is an important link.

Finno-Ugric words in the Russian dialects of Yakutia

This article analyzes the lexical Finno-Ugric borrowings that appeared in the speech of the Slavs and the aboriginal population of Yakutia with the arrival of the Russians to the northeast Siberia in the 17th century. More than three centuries ago, the Russians, who came from the northern provinces of Russia, introduced the essential vocabulary necessary for the daily life of the people of that time into the active vocabulary of the northern region’s population. Most of the words from the Finno-Ugric languages denoted new concepts and did not have synonyms in Russian, for example, viska, edoma, laida, etc. This research investigates and illustrates the most significant thematic groups of the borrowed words, gives lexical-semantic characteristics of the analyzed notions, and determines the basic word-building patterns. This article presents the results of a linguistic experiment on the interpretation of words, which was conducted in 2021 among the students of Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University to determine the relevance of the Finno-Ugric layer of vocabulary in the modern communicative situation of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The authors of the article conclude that the studied lexical borrowings, which became widespread on the territory of the republic several centuries ago, underwent some changes, became the basis for the formation of new words, became part of not only the modern Russian literary language, but also other languages of the republic, where they are part of the active vocabulary.

General educational aspect of a mineralogical museum of the North-Eastern Federal university, Yakutsk

The paper refers to a museum of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU, Yakutsk) as a socio-cultural institution. The restoration, preservation and development of the NEFU mineralogical museum requires a conceptual rethinking of its role, expansion of its functional capabilities, awareness and reassessment of its social role for the university, city and region. From the viewpoint of the museum pedagogy, the museum forms not only an educational, but also an educational and cultural environment for the formation of a harmoniously developed personality. Recruiting of foreign students to remote regions with severe climatic conditions

Introduction. Universities are looking for effective ways to recruit foreign citizens, but many factors influence the choice of university. The climatic conditions and geographic location of the region in which distant universities have to work and which they cannot change usually not considered as a significant factor. The purpose of the study is to identify the positive and negative aspects of studying in a remote university located in a region with difficult climatic conditions and the most effective methods of recruitment of foreign students. Materials and methods. The results of a survey of foreign students of the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University were used as materials for the study. The survey involved 335 students enrolled in main professional educational programs, exchange programs, students of preparatory courses and courses of the Russian language. Results. The majority of respondents named the quality of education (21%), attitude towards foreigners (18%), the work of teachers (16%) and the infrastructure of the university (13%) as the advantages of studying. Most of the respondents (53%) did not indicate any disadvantages of studying at the university, 11% mentioned the geographical location of NEFU and 8% pointed climatic conditions of the region. The respondents first learned about the university from friends (25%), from the internet (23%) and Rossotrudnichestvo offices in the countries (14%). The results of the survey showed that 35% of students plan to return home or leave for another country. The dispersion of this answer across countries showed that representatives of almost every country are planning to go home or to another country, regardless of the period of study passed. 29% of the respondents would like to stay here and work in Yakutia after graduation. The poll showed that both representatives of the CIS countries and non-CIS countries wish to stay in Yakutia to work. Conclusion. Increasing university awareness through social media and partnerships with educational organizations, using various recruiting methods and involving students themselves in this process are key ways to increase the number of students.

The purpose of the study is to consider the features peculiar to the influence of the linguistic environment of a bilingual region on the training of foreign students at Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. The article presents an analysis of the linguistic situation in the bilingual region of the Russian Federation and its features, as well as the results of a survey among foreign students. Scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the linguistic environment of the bilingual region is considered in the linguo-didactic aspect from the standpoint of the methodology for teaching Russian as a foreign language. As a result, the author has identified the features of the linguistic environment of the bilingual region that should be taken into account when organising the educational process of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The results of the survey prove the need to systematise local linguistic and cultural material.

Provision of mathematical prerequisites to students in humanities at the Federal University of Yakutia

The purpose of the research is to reveal the problems of studying mathematics by students of the humanities and specialties, using the example of students of the Faculty of Philology and the Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University and describe the experience of teaching mathematics, contributing to the formation of general cultural competencies focused on the use of mathematical methods in professional activities. A sociological study was carried out in the form of a written survey of students and conversations with teachers of the Faculty of Philology and the Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies, covering 114 students and 4 teachers. Based on the results of the study, the authors summed up the possibility of spreading this experience, using the proposed educational and methodological complex in other humanitarian areas and specialties.
