Abstract
The article is devoted to topical issues of teaching solo singing at a pedagogical university in connection with the development of modern musical theatre and performing tasks assigned to a singer-actor. The authors focus on the main aspects of teaching academic vocal art aimed at fostering professional singing qualities and acquiring vocal and performing culture.
