Abstract

The following article refers to the research performed on patients diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). These belong to the c-29 clinic of zone 6 Alamar, Havana del Este, Havana, Cuba from October 2014 to March 2015. In this sense, the sample includes 8 patients, 4 female and 4 male. Therefore, respiratory physical exercises were applied in the home for 5 months. In this regard, the patients investigated have a very deteriorated quality of life, constant inactivity and can not attend the polyclinic in the area to receive treatment because of the distance. Therefore, the research aimed to analyze the influence of physical and respiratory exercises applied in the hospital to patients with COPD. Hence, this is a case study, longitudinal, quantitative and qualitative experimental type, retrospective-prospective. The above, allowed to measure the quality of life in the patients studied from the application of the SF-36 questionnaire. Also, the research methods were measurement and experiment. In addition, the software SPSSV.11.5 was used to process the data using the average descriptive method.
