Abstract

The present article approaches the general conceptions about the work of family orientation for the stimulation of the visual perception of children with strabismus and amblyopia. In this sense, the process of family orientation in the special school is defined and the result of the review and assessment of the bibliography consulted is offered. In addition, the current state of the development of the family counseling process for the care of children with the aforementioned diagnosis is analyzed. The objective of this study is to offer a pedagogical strategy, based on a family orientation model for the stimulation of visual perception in children with strabismus and amblyopia. For its development, theoretical and empirical methods are used, as well as methods and techniques of descriptive and inferential statistics, which allow demonstrating the effectiveness of the pedagogical strategy for the stimulation of visual perception of children with strabismus and amblyopia.
