Abstract

Objective To survey the current situation of respiratory rehabilitation exercise (RRE) in patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), to identify and find the reasons of poor adherence of respiratory function exercise and provide the evidence for RRE. Methods A total of 84 patients of COPD were investigated using a questionnaires concerned about RRE and possible influencing factors. Results In 84 patients, 28(33.3%) nerve heard RRE, 25(29.8%) heard but not fully understood, 31 (36.9%) fully understood. 59 (70. 2% ) nerve exercised, 9 ( 10. 7% ) given up, 10 ( 11.9% ) occasionally exercised, 6(7.1%) insistently exercised. According to linear regression, the understanding of RRE, understanding of the necessity of RRE, and implementation of RRE were correlated with education and self-efficacy of the patient (P <0. 01 ). Conclusions Current situation of RRE in COPD patient is dissatisfied. Nursing staff should strengthen the propaganda, improve the relevant knowledge of respiratory function and exercise adherence,achieve true delaying disease development and improve their quality of life.
