Abstract

The objective of this article is: to show the psychological development as an extensive and complex field can be approached from different perspectives: theories, processes or stages. Therefore, it is considered that the analysis by stages and areas allows a clearer and more accurate description of the changes that occur throughout life. In this regard, developmental psychology is a branch of psychology that studies the behavioral and psychological changes of people, during the period that extends from conception to death, and in all kinds of environments when trying to describe and explain them in relationship with the subject. In this sense, human development is a long and gradual process. So, to achieve an integral development in the child, we must start from the level of development of the child and in the case of the adult acts as a mediator in this process.
