Abstract

The procedure for obtaining impedance or admittance matrices involves inversions and multiplications. In this chapter, network building algorithms are presented which develop the matrices step by step starting with a single element and then adding another element either as a branch (series) or as a link (parallel). Thus from a single element through partial networks at every stage, complete network matrix is obtained. Procedures for the addition of a branch and for the addition of a link are given each separately. Also, methods for the calculation of mutual and self-impedances are developed. Effect of removal or change in impedance of elements is given. The method is effective even if mutual impedances exist between the elements.
