Abstract

In this chapter, the formation of network matrices by singular transformation and also nonsingular transformation is described. The determination of bus admittance matrix from primitive network parameters and the formation of bus impedance matrix there from are discussed. The determination of branch admittance matrix and branch impedance matrix using basic cut-set impedance matrix is explained thereafter. Expressions for loop impedance matrix and loop admittance matrix are derived. The knowledge of augmented cut-set incidence matrix is utilized to determine the branch admittance matrix and branch impedance matrix through nonsingular transformation method. Similarly, using augmented loop incidence matrix determination of loop impedance and loop admittance matrices by nonsingular transformation is presented. Bus admittance matrix determination by direct inspection when there are no mutual impedances is also discussed.
