Abstract
The article focuses on the problem of students' value orientations. The authors reveal the concepts of “values”, “value orientations”, highlight the factors that contribute to the formation of modern students’ values. The paper presents the results of an empirical study on the students’ value orientations within various educational program specializations at Vologda State University. Based on the results of the study, the authors gave recommendations to the teaching staff and practical psychologists on the provision of socio-psychological and psychological-pedagogical counseling for students.
