Features of formation of modern students’ Value and legal orientations

Abstract

Further development of our democratic state is possible only with the active and constructive participation of the entire population in the ongoing transformations that have covered all spheres of social life: politics, economy, education, defense and others. Consolidation of the Russian society, citizenship, patriotism, justice, legality and rule of law are coming to the fore today. This is what determines the need to strengthen the effectiveness of educational work with all categories of citizens. At the same time, the focus should be on student youth. University graduates should be not only first-class specialists, competitive in the labor market. They must have a high level of legal culture, be law-abiding, have a clear and active civic position based on value and legal orientations, love for the Fatherland, the desire to be useful to their state and their people. The article, based on the approaches of Russian scientists, examines the essence of the phenomena of "value" and "value orientations", provides the features of the formation of value and legal orientations among modern students.
