IMPLEMENTATION OF ART THERAPY TECHNIQUES ON TOOTHBRUSHING SKILLS FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN IN KUTA TRADITIONAL VILLAGE

Background: The 2023 Indonesian health survey shows that the prevalence of dental caries in Indonesia is 43.6% and the prevalence of cavities in Jawabarat Province is 48%. Based on the characteristics of the age group of 5-9 years is 49.9% and the age group of 10-14 years is 37.2%. Method: This research method is the Quasi Experimental method with One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Test, with a sample of 32 children aged 6-12 years from Kuta Traditional Village, which is a traditional village located in the area of Karangpaningal Village, Tambaksari District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. The measuring instrument uses an observation sheet of brushing skills. Results: The skills before being given counseling were 3.7 with an average of less skilled criteria, after being given counseling to 8.3 with an average of moderately skilled criteria. Conclusion: The value of p = 0.000 shows that there is an effect of counseling using art therapy techniques on toothbrushing skills in school-age children in Kuta Traditional Village.

PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING KELOMPOK TANI MELALUI PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI PERTANIAN

Indonesia is known as an agricultural region with a wide variety of agricultural and plantation commodities. Plantation commodities such as coffee plants are one of the superior products produced by farmers in Indonesia. Coffee plants grow in mountainous areas with relatively cold weather temperatures. Geographically, natural conditions support coffee plants to grow well even with limited technology. Community service activities aim to increase the competitiveness of coffee farmer groups through the application of technology. The community service activities were carried out in Mekarmanik Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Service partner Tiwikrama Mukti Farmer Group is engaged in coffee plantations around Mekarmanik village. Coffee trees in this area are planted intercropped with rubber trees that grow on land owned by the PERHUTANI State-Owned Company. The method of implementing the service activities provides assistance with a set of grass cutting equipment and garden support equipment. This equipment can help farmers clean grass and weeds that often grow around the garden so that the growth of coffee plants can be better. In addition to providing agricultural equipment instruments, the service team provided simulations on the use of tools and counselling to farmer group partners regarding the market potential of coffee commodities. The results of community service activities in farmer groups after carrying out garden maintenance can increase coffee productivity. Coffee farmer groups also have a better understanding of coffee marketing circulation so that farmers obtain more optimal economic returns.

Role of Strategic HRM as Mediator of Intellectual Assets and Knowledge Sharing of Hotel Performance in West Java

In addition to examining the factors affecting organizational performance and hotel performance, this research aims to investigate the relationship between knowledge sharing and intellectual assets and hotel strategic human resource management (HRM). To create a robust knowledge culture, strategic HRM and hotel management should collaborate. This can be accomplished by holding team meetings, workshops, employee development programs, and discussion forums to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange among staff members. Maintain a competitive edge in the hospitality sector, while offering visitors outstanding service. This research was done using quantitative methods. In this study, 185 employees served as samples. Structural equation modeling was used in the analysis method (SEM). The findings demonstrated that knowledge sharing and intellectual assets impact the hotel’s strategic HRM. Hotel performance is impacted by knowledge sharing and intellectual assets. Strategic HRM influences organizational performance. Intellectual assets and knowledge sharing affect hotel performance through strategic HRM. By increasing employee knowledge and skills and encouraging collaboration and continuous learning, hotels can improve organizational performance, provide superior service to guests, and stay competitive in the hospitality industry. Strategic HRM should work closely with hotel management to build a strong knowledge culture. This can be accomplished by carrying out initiatives like staff development and training, workshops, team meetings, and discussion forums to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among employees. Determinants of Intention to Choose Halal Certified Restaurant in West Java

The establishment of halal-labeled restaurants that offer a diverse range of food and beverages is in line with the growing awareness of halal certification. However, the importance of halal certification was not fully known by the public. This study aimed to investigate the potential influence of knowledge, attitude, and religiosity on consumers' purchase interest in halal restaurants in West Java. In addition, certain eateries emphasize the natural and cultural aspects of the region. The varied traditional cuisine, business centers, and the presence of Muslim communities make West Java an attractive destination for those seeking a religiously oriented and convenient dining experience. This study used primary data collected from 100 respondents through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The study utilized purposive sampling, a type of non-probability sampling, and employed multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 29 for data analysis, the study was conducted in 3 stages, namely t-test, f-test, and coefficient of determination test. The findings indicate that attitude and religiosity factors influence consumer purchase intention at the halal restaurant. Conversely, knowledge was not proven to significantly affect public purchase intention at the halal restaurant in this study. This research has significant implications for halal restaurant owners. Halal restaurant owners in West Java can better understand the needs and preferences of Muslim consumers, strengthen their market position, and promote the growth of the halal industry in the region.

Hematology scoring model to predict sepsis in preterm neonates

Background Neonatal sepsis is a major cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality, especially in developing countries. Atypical clinical symptoms lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment. Scoring a combination of routine hematology parameters may be able to predict the occurrence of sepsis in preterm neonates. Objective To formulate a new model for neonatal sepsis scoring from various complete blood count parameters to predict sepsis in preterm neonates. Methods This analytical cross sectional study using secondary data from the Registry of the Neonatology Division was conducted at the RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung, West Java. Subjects were neonates diagnosed with sepsis, of gestational age 28–36 weeks, who were born at the RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin from January to December 2021. Laboratory results of patients who met the inclusion criteria were recorded. Subjects were divided into either proven sepsis and probable sepsis groups, based on blood culture results. Results Of 112 subjects, 35.7% had proven sepsis and 64.3% probable sepsis. In the proven sepsis group, 52.5% of subjects were male, median birth weight was 1,490 grams, median gestational age was 32 weeks, 90% were small for gestational age, and 60% were delivered normally. Multivariable analysis by multiple logistic regression revealed that the parameters associated with the incidence of neonatal sepsis were c-reactive protein (CRP) > 0.18 mg/dL (score 6), hematocrit <40% (score 4), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) < 19.623 (score 4); monocyte-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) < 0.461 (score 2); and mean platelet volume (MPV) value >10 (score 2). Score >8 had a sensitivity of 85% and specificity of 70.8%, with area under the ROC curve of 0.865 (P<0.001). Scoring accuracy was 75.8%, with a positive predictive value of 61.8%, a negative predictive value of 89.5%, and Kappa index of 51.5% with moderate agreement. Conclusion A hematological score >8 can be used as a predictor of sepsis in preterm neonates.

DETERMINING AGRICULTURAL INSURANCE PREMIUMS USING THE BLACK-SCHOLES APPROACH BASED ON LINEAR REGRESSION OF POTATO PRODUCTION AND PRICES

Price fluctuations, which often occur in the agricultural sector, cause farmers to experience losses when selling prices are not balanced with production costs. The government is trying to minimize farmers' losses by issuing an agricultural insurance program. One of the problems with agricultural insurance is determining the premium that farmers must pay so as not to disadvantage the insurance company. This paper explores the price of insurance premiums associated with potato cultivation in West Java, Indonesia. In addition, this research analyzes the factors that influence prices by focusing on the relationship between potato production levels and market prices. Therefore, a comprehensive data set of potato production data and associated prices is used. Regression analysis, as a statistical technique, is used to model the relationships. The Black-Scholes method then uses the obtained result to determine insurance premiums. This method is used due to a theoretical framework for pricing options that allows selecting an option's fair price using a structured, defined methodology that has been tried and tested. The premium values that depend on the trigger value are then obtained with a range of prices between IDR 5,687,670 and IDR 18,067,953 for an insured amount of IDR 39,403,000 per contract period. The premium price range allows farmers to choose the right agricultural insurance policy. It also allows insurance companies to determine insurance premiums for potato cultivation.

Food Preference of Purple‐Spotted Bigeye (Priacanthus tayenus Richardson 1846) in Northern Coast of Java, Indonesia

ABSTRACTDiet is one of the essential information used in the management of fisheries resource. The objective of this study was to assess the dietary preferences, index of preponderance, trophic level, food niche breadth, and food overlap of purple‐spotted bigeye (Priacanthus tayenus) caught from the northern coast of Java, Indonesia. A total of 407 fish samples were collected from July to October 2023. Each fish sample was measured for total length and body weight. Fish were then dissected to determine sex, gut length, gut volume, and diet composition. Data analysis included relative gut length, diet composition, frequency of occurrence, trophic level, index of preponderance, food niche breadth, and food overlap. The result showed that the purple‐spotted bigeye is a carnivorous fish (trophic level ranges from 3.88 to 4.18), whose main food is fish and shrimp. Based on the niche breadth value, purple‐spotted bigeye from East Java were more diverse in finding food (niche breadth = 0.26) than from West Java (niche breadth = 0.06) and Central Java (niche breadth = 0.09). The purple‐spotted bigeye species from West Java and Central Java exhibited a high level of competition in their search for food, as indicated by a food overlap value of 0.998.

Comparative Study of Income of Sweet Potato Farmers' in Different Trade Channels in Bandorasa Wetan Village, Cilimus District, Kuningan Regency

This study aims to analyze the income of sweet potato farmers in Bandorasa Wetan Village, Kuningan Regency, by comparing different trading channels, specifically sales to middlemen and direct sales to the processing industry. Sweet potato farming plays a crucial role in supporting local and national economies, with Kuningan being a major sweet potato production area in West Java. Using a quantitative comparative approach with survey techniques, data was collected from 83 farmers, with 49 selling to middlemen and 34 to the industry. The results show that the average income of farmers selling to the industry (IDR 3,468,222) is significantly higher than those selling to middlemen (IDR 2,812,569), as evidenced by the independent sample test (p = 0.000). However, income from industry sales shows greater variability. This research contributes by highlighting the income disparities across trading channels, offering valuable insights for farmers and stakeholders in optimizing trading practices to maximize profitability. Future research should explore factors influencing channel selection, including market conditions and trading strategies, to enhance the overall sustainability and profitability of sweet potato farming.

PENERAPAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SERIAL VIDEO ANIMASI SUKACANTING DAN PELATIHAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI

One of the national health problems that requires special attention and handling from various parties, namely from the central government, regional governments, and the family level, is stunting. Sukamulya Village is one of the villages in Rancaekek District, Bandung, West Java, located in the Citarum River watershed (DAS), which runs a stunting prevention program with three hamlets in it. Currently, one of the targets of stunting education is teenagers. The problem faced when targeting teenagers as targets for education and agents of change, especially in Sukamulya Village, is that the material on stunting has not been packaged with the approach style of teenagers who enjoy technology-based information. In addition, teenagers consider this unimportant because the education provided is too dull and delivered by people they feel are too old (the same age as their parents). So, a training activity was carried out to make an animated video series based on artificial intelligence (AI) called Sukacanting, a method of stunting education and public speaking training to improve public speaking skills in providing stunting prevention education. With the training and creation of AI-based animated videos, several Posyandu cadre youth have improved their skills in creating, managing, and developing health education videos and public speaking skills.

ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN TERBUKA DI JAWA TIMUR 2012-2022

East Java Province has the second population density after West Java Province. This number of population can certainly be an advantage with abundant human resources or problems related to employment. This research is to find out and analyze the effect of minimum wages, population, HDI, PMTB, economic growth, and the agricultural sector has an open response rate in 38 districts/cities of East Java Province in 2012-2022. This study uses quantitative research with panel data models. The results of the research show that the data is free from classical assumption problems with the minimum wage variable having a significant positive influence, the population variable and the agriculture, forestry and fisheries variables having an insignificant and positive influence, the HDI and PMTB variables having a significant negative influence, the economic growth variable having the influence is insignificant and negative.

Efektivitas Pelatihan Kepemimpinan Administrator (PKA) oleh BPSDM Provinsi Jawa Barat Tahun 2023

The State Administration Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN) has issued Decree of the Head of the State Administration Agency Number 2 of 2023 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Structural Leadership Training Activities which is the basis for holding education and leadership training activities for administrator officials. This research will discuss the 2023 Class IV Administrator Leadership Training (PKA) activities which were held in order to meet managerial competency standards in structural civil servant positions. The method used in this research is a qualitative method to analyze the effectiveness of implementing structural leadership training activities which is based on measuring sources, processes and targets. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out through interviews, observation, literature study and documentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of managerial leadership training for the position of Administrator (PKA) Class IV in 2023 carried out by the West Java Province Human Resources Development Agency is hampered by the limited number of class observers, the ability of participants who have not yet adapted to the learning methods applied, as well as disrupting participants' concentration because they had to carry out work tasks in their work unit in between training activities, so that aspects of the process did not run optimally.

Principles of Good Governance: Operational Management Direct Expenditure and Tax Services in General Affairs Division Secretariat of Local People's Representative Council (DPRD) West Java Province, Indonesia

The implementation of good governance in the operational service management of direct spending and tax documents in the General Section of the Secretariat of the West Java Provincial People's Representative Council is very important to do. This aims to improve the quality of public services, transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of the use of public funds. Meningkatkan Customer Engagement dengan Brand Experience dan Visual Brand Communication

This research aims to determine the analysis of increasing customer engagement with brand experience and visual brand communication (survey of Scarlett Whitening users in Tasikmalaya City, West Java). The method used in this research is causality through a survey approach. With a research sample of 100 Scarlett Whitening users in Tasikmalaya City, West Java. The data used is primary data. The analytical tool used in this research is multiple regression using SPSS 26.0. The research results show that the Brand Experience obtained from the Brand Experience of Scarlett Whitening Users in Tasikmalaya City, West Java has good criteria. Visual Brand Communication at Scarlett Whitening di Kota Tasikmalaya Jawa Barat has good assessment criteria, Customer Engagement for Scarlett Whitening Users in Tasikmalaya City, West Java has good criteria. Together Brand Experience and Visual Brand Communication have a significant influence on Customer Engagement. Partially, Brand Experience has a significant influence on Customer Engagement. Partially, Visual Brand Communication has a positive and significant effect on Customer Engagement.

Teacher's understanding of early childhood physical literacy: thematic analysis based on teaching experience from an Indonesian perspective

ABSTRACT Background Early childhood is a critical period for the formation of physical literacy from an early age. Teachers play an important role in supporting the growth of children's physical literacy. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, the understanding of the concept of physical literacy has yet to fully permeate early childhood education. There are no special regulations from the government to include physical education in early childhood education so that children can achieve physical literacy. Traditionally in Indonesia, teachers provide physical activity games with the aim being only to master children's gross motor skills. Therefore, the presentation of physical activity through play provided by teachers needs attention to understand children's physical literacy. These teachers can help inform the provision of physical education for early childhood education in supporting children's physical literacy in the future. Purpose This research aims to reveal the experiences of early childhood education teachers in Indonesia who are used to providing physical activity learning through games. Through this experience, this research also aims to explore teachers’ meanings regarding children's physical literacy. Method Through a phenomenological study in accordance with the physical literacy theoretical framework, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 early childhood education teachers in West Java, Indonesia. A sample of teachers was taken and interviewed from 5 schools that met the criteria, namely that they were used to teaching physical activity through play for the purpose of developing children's gross motor skills. To add to the description of teachers’ experiences, photo-elicitation interviews were conducted. Top-down thematic and bottom-up thematic analysis was carried out to analyze all the data that had been obtained. Results Physical literacy is interpreted as something related to children's health, meaning physical activity carried out by young children to keep their bodies fit and healthy so they can live their lives independently. Pedagogical experience from an educational background other than physical education is recognized as an obstacle to understanding physical literacy comprehensively. Thus, the teching learning practices carried out in the field only emphasize the meaning of children's physical motor activity. In accordance with the teachers’ experience, the teaching they often do every day is only giving physical activity’ games, this is assumed by them to support the physical literacy of early childhood. Motor physical activities that lead to physical literacy in early childhood are carried out in open field areas or playgrounds. The safety of teaching motor and physical activities for children is also a concern for teachers. Conclusion The findings from this study suggest that teaching experience with an educational background other than physical education can limit the understanding of physical literacy, even if the teachers are used to teaching physical activity in an early childhood education environment. The long-term implications may be that if early childhood education and physical education work together, they will be able to inspire more meaningful experiences in teaching physical activities that contribute to the formation of children's physical literacy.

A Bronze Age Site on the Northern Coast of West Java

This study describes an early site on the northern coast of West Java, affected by the Austronesian culture—Subanglarang near Binong in the Subang Regency. Geologically, during the 2000–1000 BP interval, it was part of the coastline of the northern coast of West Java, situated more than 5 m asl. During the 2013 surveys and excavations in 2016 and 2018, five burials were revealed. On the basis of the fragments of red-slipped pottery, pickaxes, beads of various shape and size, and metal weapons, the site is dated to the Bronze Age. Artifacts similar to those of early Austronesians were discovered. The analysis of various beads from Subanglarang attests to trade relations with other areas. Further excavations on the northern coast of West Java will hopefully shed more light on the life of the Bronze Age people of that area.

Preparing digital advancements in Pasteur Subdistrict cooperatives

The digital economy presents significant opportunities for cooperatives to improve their governance and achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-s) 8, which promotes decent work and inclusive economic growth. As business entities based on economic democracy, cooperatives have the potential to drive the digital economy and enhance the well-being of their members. However, cooperatives in Pasteur, West Java, face various governance challenges, including inadequate bookkeeping, member arrears on savings and loans, and low digital literacy. These hinder the performance and development of the cooperatives. A series of training programs on cooperative governance and human resource management were designed to address these challenges. The program also aimed to improve the digital literacy of cooperative leaders and members and assist them in managing financial and operational aspects more transparently, accountably, and efficiently. The training program proved effective in enhancing the knowledge and skills of cooperative leaders and members in utilizing digital applications for good governance. This led to positive outcomes such as improved bookkeeping, increased savings and loan repayment rates, and more participative and transparent decision-making.

Analysis of radiative heat flux using ASTER thermal images: Climatological and volcanological factors on Java Island, Indonesia

This study focuses on analysing natural Radiative Heat Flux (RHF) anomalies to map out the heat distribution across the Java Island. Leveraging remote sensing techniques, we calculated natural RHF anomalies using Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Land Surface Emissivity (LSE) data obtained from Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) imagery. A key aspect of our approach was distinguishing between natural and anthropogenic heat sources by cross-referencing the LST Map with the Land Use Land Cover (LULC) map of Java Island. The study interprets natural RHF anomalies by examining regional trends in non-volcanic areas and local trends within volcanic regions, considering climatological and volcanological factors. Relation with climatological factors involves assessing soil moisture parameters from Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) data, precipitation from monthly Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) data, and classifications according to the Köppen-Geiger climate schema. Our regional analysis reveals high natural RHF anomalies in the northern regions of West Java, parts of Central Java, and most of East Java, attributed to low soil moisture and low precipitation in savanna and monsoon climates. On a more localised scale, RHF values are significantly high in volcanic areas, particularly around Central and East Java's volcanoes, such as Mt. Merapi, Mt. Slamet, Mt. Semeru, the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano, and Mt. Ijen. The Natural RHF anomalies at volcanoes in West Java were identified as not being high except at Mt Patuha. These areas exhibit average natural RHF anomalies ranging between 32.22 W/m2 and 115.13 W/m2, indicating strong and intense volcanic activity. The insights obtained from these findings explain the overall thermal characteristics of Java Island and highlight the presence of subsurface thermal zones associated with volcanic activity and geothermal potential.

The Effectiveness of Missouri Mathematics Project Learning Models for Improving Students’ Mathematical Connection Ability on Junior High School

Mathematical connection ability is one of the high level abilities but is still classified as low because students' understanding of the conceptual material given by the teacher, there are still students going through steps in working on the problems given, such as describing a symbol, in completing mathematical concepts, therefore This research aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Missouri Mathematics Project Learning Model carried out at MTs Ibnu Sina Jl. Tegal Overtime No. 105, Pamekaran, District. Soreang, Bandung Regency, West Java 4091, by taking a sample of 60 students consisting of control and experimental classes. The research method used in this action was the experimental method. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of students' mathematical ability data before being given treatment, it showed the highest score was 70, the lowest score was 55 and the average score was 61. Meanwhile, the results of descriptive analysis of students' mathematical ability data after being given The treatment showed the highest score of 70, the lowest score of 55 and the average score of 61. Those given the treatment showed the highest score of 87, the lowest score of 69, and the average score of 77.83. So the average mathematical connection ability of students after being given treatment is higher than the students' mathematical ability before being given treatment.

The Influence of Work Environment on the Performance of Employees of Perum Bulog West Java Region through Commitment and Achievement Motivation

This research is motivated by the West Java Regional Perum BULOG company which is part of a State-Owned Enterprise where employee performance is one of the internal problems between leaders and employees. This study aims to examine the effect of work environment on employee performance through moderating variables of employee commitment and achievement motivation. The sample used in this study were employees of Perum BULOG West Java Regional Office with a total of 160 employees. This research method uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to employees as respondents in this study. The analysis technique used in this study uses data processing application tools in the form of SMARTPLS version 3.2.9 which will be used to test the hypothesis in the study. The results of this study indicate that the work environment affects employee performance, commitment was found to moderate the work environment on employee performance and achievement motivation did not moderate the work environment on employee performance.

Perancangan Multimedia Informasi Iklan Layanan Masyarakat “Domestic Abuse” Di Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan Perlindungan Anak Dan Keluarga Berencana Jawa Barat

Domestic abuse is a social problem in Indonesia that always be inherent and not easy to deal with, the rate of domestic abuse exploded when pandemic happen in Indonesia. in West Java alone there already 2000 case about domestic abuse that already registered. This number can be pressed if society have the courage and awareness about domestic abuse among them, as a victim or as a witness of the abuse. This multimedia application was designed for facilitate the socialization process of domestic abuse in order to cultivate courage in society to report if they see someone they know is a victim of domestic abuse. So, an information multimedia application of domestic abuse public service advertisements with a case study at the West Java Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Office was created. The methodology used is Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) that have 6 stages (concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution). The , multimedia application of domestic abuse public service advertisements was designed according to users need obtained from observation and implemented using Adobe Animate CC 2019 with Action Script 3.0 programming language.the testing of this application is using black box testing method show that this application running smoothly and fit to what the user wants. The result of this testing show that the average of the testing result from 3 category (design, feature, and user satisfaction) with 12 test parameters is 4,39 (87,8%).
