Effectiveness of Hyperbaric Oxygen for Fibromyalgia: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has been reported as an emerging treatment regimen for fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), with a paucity of solid evidence. Accordingly, a systematic review and meta-analysis were performed to address the effectiveness of HBOT on FMS. We searched the Cochrane Database, EMBASE, Medline, PubMed, Clinicaltrials.gov, and PsycINFO, and the reference sections of original studies and systematic reviews from inception to May 2022. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the treatment of FMS with HBOT were included. Outcome measures included pain, Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ), Tender Points Count (TPC), and side effects. Four RCTs, with 163 participants, were included for analysis. Pooled results showed that HBOT could benefit FMS with significant improvement at the end of treatment, including FIQ (SMD = -1.57, 95% CI -2.34 to -0.80) and TPC (SMD = -2.50, 95% CI -3.96 to -1.05). However, there was no significant effect on pain (SMD = -1.68, 95% CI, -4.47 to 1.11). Meanwhile, HBOT significantly increased the incidence of side effects (RR = 24.97, 95% CI 3.75 to 166.47). Collectively, emerging evidence from RCTs indicates that HBOT can benefit FMS patients in FIQ and TPC throughout the observation time phrases. Although HBOT has some side effects, it does not cause serious adverse consequences.

Viewing this new trend, the present study aimed to explore discoursal features of Jamie Oliver's talk in Jamie’s Thirty Minute Meals cookery show and the way they were rendered in the dubbed version broadcast by BBC Persian. To this end, the comparative model of research and the notion of tertium comparationis was used. To analyze the discoursal features of Jamie Oliver, the principles of the grounded theory were applied. The findings indicate that the predominant stylistic features of fastness in Jamie Oliver’s talk are repetition of title, using time phrases indicating fastness, and using words implying easiness and briskness. Analysis of the dubbed version revealed that all the identified expressions of fastness were translated literally into Persian, though they do not sound natural. In other words, in Toury’s (1980) term adequate or source-oriented strategies were used to dub the show into Persian. The findings can shed some light on the realization of food colonization in translation.

Our Android and Web applications communicate with the server as well. This program allows users to check the current state of their home appliances and control them from anywhere. The committee would then evaluate the comment, ask the presenter for further information, and only continue once there is sufficient clarity. Once the discussion concludes, the review cycle would continue until another phrase is identified. Beyond pointing out biased phrases during a performance review, a combination of NLP and CAI can serve as a foundation for company-wide analytics. At T2 and T3, the stress response indexes of cortisol, epinephrine, norepinephrine, and blood sugar in the observation group were lower than those in the control group. In addition, hemodynamic indicators heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and blood sample saturation levels were also lower than those in the control group. One day after the operation, the score of the Simple Mental State Scale in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the time phrase for the completion of the connection test was in the control group. The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the comparison group. Conclusion. Participants with PTSD showed downward and healthy controls upward eye movements while processing an ego/time-moving ambiguous phrase, suggesting a passive (time-moving) outlook toward the future. If replicated, our findings may have implications for the conceptualization and treatment of PTSD.

The article considers the phrases of the relative time on the material of the philo-sophical mystery «Birth of Man» by Ivan Ohiienko, which are built mainly on the universal grammatical models found in the Ukrainian language of previous centuries, and in the Ukrainian dialects.Based on the observations in the syntactic system of philosophical mystery, two types of temporal prepositional phrases of premature are distinguished: 1) phrases in which the time interval is completely fi lled with action; 2) phrases in which the time interval is notfully occupied by the action. Phrases of the fi rst kind in the analyzed work are represented by only one grammatical model V ∙ to ∙ Sg with the dependent temporal syntaxes. The sec-ond type of the phrases with the meaning of the prefi x, not completely fi lled with action, is also represented by one grammatical model V ∙ to ∙ Sg, which expresses the action that can be realized at any time before the time period called the dependent word.Among the temporal phrases with the meaning of the aftertaste in the artistic outline of the work on the basis of a thorough study of the textual material are: 1) the phrases of the aftertaste, completely fi lled with action; 2) the phrases of the aftertaste, not completely fi lled with action.To express the temporal continuity, which is completely fi lled with action, in the mys-tery of Ivan Ohiienko traced only three examples of temporal phrases, represented by grammatical models V ∙ with ∙ A, V ∙ not from ∙ A and V ∙ not with ∙ Sg, which convey the initial moment of action, which fi lls the next period of time. Phrases of postpartum, not completely fi lled with action, in the syntactic system of the analyzed work are represented by only one grammatical model V ∙ by ∙ Sl, which expresses an inaccurate aftertaste. The researched material of the philosophical mystery «Birth of Man» by Ivan Ohiienko makes it possible to state that the phrases of relative time, completely and not completely fi lled with action, do not belong to the common ones. They are represented by six gram-matical models: a phrase with a premature meaning of two and a phrase with an afterword meaning of fi ve. Among them, the most commonly used are phrases of premature, which are characterized by the fullness of the time interval by action (V ∙ to ∙ Sg), and phrases with semantics of postpartum, which is not completely fi lled with action (V ∙ by ∙ Sl).

Locking plate versus external fixation in the treatment of displaced femoral supracondylar fracture in children

BackgroundDisplaced supracondylar femoral fractures (SFF) are difficult injuries to treat in children. Several techniques have been widely used but few studies have compared the merits and drawbacks of each surgical intervention in order to analyze clinical values. The aim of this study was to (1) evaluate postoperative and functional conditions after treatments with locking plate (LP) or external fixation (EF), (2) observe adverse events associated with these two techniques, and (3) evaluate the clinical value of these two techniques.MethodsTwenty-eight patients less than 14 years of age were included in this study with supracondylar femoral fractures. They underwent locking plate or external fixation in authors’ hospital. The postoperative healing and functional outcome were elevated according to radiographic and clinical measures, including American Knee Society Score (KSS). Fisher’s exact test and independent samples t test were used for statistical analysis.ResultsAll fractures healed without delayed union. The KSS scoring results of locking plate and external fixation groups were both excellent. The alignment of lower limbs was acceptable with knee valgus less than 2° for all involved patients. In addition, leg length discrepancy was less than 1 cm. No acute or severe complications were noted. There was significant difference in union time (p = 0.03), operating time (p< 0.001), intraoperative blood loss (p< 0.001), and limb length discrepancy (p = 0.04) between LP group and EF group.ConclusionsExternal fixation is superior than locking plate in terms of union, operation time phrases, and intraoperative blood loss. EF techniques are better options for treating displaced supracondylar femoral fracture in children.Level of evidenceRetrospective comparative study; level III.

Proverbs are precedent language units that relate to the field of speech elements. In our article we call them linguistic units with sacred semantics and give the definition as a complexly structured moralizing statement with holistic and generalized ideas about the positive attitude of folk culture to traditional religion. The studied proverbs have parallel components arranged in a linear sequence. An important feature for the paremiological semantics is “weak thoughts”, i.e. which are difficult to be understood without knowing the situation that they fully characterize. For proverbs, a discursive intention is important, which illustrates cognitive content with moral, and in our case, traditionally confessional function. Modern social, ideological, moral, ethical and everyday problems are correlated and commensurate with the existence of the sacred world in order to give current problems both universal and temporary features giving an assessment from the point of view of the tenets of traditional religion. The research suggests that type coercion does not solely operate at the level of lexical semantics in that many cases of type coercion are more conventionalized and more contextualized than lexical. Therefore, other factors such as world knowledge, linguistic context and conventionality have to be taken into consideration in order to get an adequate account of the phenomenon. Based on the mechanisms uncovered, the paper makes a formal description of the syntactic process in which type coercion works, and builds a usage-based hierarchy of proneness to type coercion for English and Mandarin NECs.

Extracting information about academic activity transactions from unstructured documents is a key problem in the analysis of academic behaviors of researchers. The traditional method of information extraction is to extract shallow text features and then to recognize advanced features from text with supervision. Since the information processing of different levels is completed in steps, the error generated from various steps will be accumulated and affect the accuracy of final results. However, because Deep Belief Network (DBN) model has the ability to automatically unsupervise learning of the advanced features from shallow text features, the model is employed to extract the academic activities transaction. In addition, we use character-based feature to describe the raw features of named entities of academic activity, so as to improve the accuracy of named entity recognition. In this paper, the accuracy of the academic activities extraction is compared by using character-based feature vector and word-based feature vector to express the text features, respectively, and with the traditional text information extraction based on Conditional Random Fields. The results show that DBN model is more effective for the extraction of academic activities transaction information.
