Pengaruh Likuiditas, Solvabilitas, dan Profitabilitas Terhadap Return Saham pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Makanan dan Minuman

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of liquidity, solvency and profitability on stock returns in Manufacturing companies in the Food and Beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021. The population in this study were 21 companies in the Food and Beverage sector. The technique used in sampling in this study was purposive sampling, and a total sample of 12 companies was obtained. The analytical method used in this study is a quantitative analysis method using Microsoft Excel 2010 as a data tabulation tool and Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 21 as a tool used to test research data. The data used in this study is secondary data taken from the annual financial reports of Manufacturing companies in the Food and Beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2017-2021 research period which can be accessed through the official website, namely www.idx.co. id, and other journals or articles related to this research. The results of this study indicate that liquidity as measured by CR has a negative and insignificant effect on stock returns, solvability as measured by (DER) has a negative and insignificant effect on stock returns, and profitability as measured by (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on returns. share.

An Analysis of COVID-19 Statistics in Rivers State, Nigeria: A Study of Demographic Patterns, Geographic Distribution, and Prevalent Symptoms from April 2020 to March 2021

Introduction: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an acute infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus which is characterized mainly by fever and cough and is capable of progressing to severe symptoms and in some cases death. Aims: To analyze COVID-19 statistics in Rivers State, Nigeria, during the specified period to contribute to the broader understanding of the epidemiology of COVID-19 in the region. Methodology: Study Design: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving the retrieval of secondary data. Place and Duration of Study: The study was carried out at the Epidemiology Division of the Rivers State Department of Public Health, Ministry of Health, in December 2022. Participants: A total of 6,299 patients recorded between April 2020 to March 2021 in the Epidemiology Unit were included in the study. Patients with incomplete data were excluded from the analysis. Data Collection and Analysis: Secondary data recorded in Excel format was retrieved from the Epidemiology Unit of the Rivers State Ministry of Health. The data was then exported to IBM Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 25 for analysis. Frequencies were generated and reported in tabular format. Ethical Considerations: Ethical approval for the study was obtained from the Ethics Committee of the State Ministry of Health Board, Port Harcourt, ensuring compliance with ethical standards in research and the University of Port Harcourt Ethics Committee to the State Hospital Board. Results: The mortality rate stood at 1.4%. Port Harcourt Local Government Area (LGA) accounted for approximately two-thirds of all infections, while nearly one-third originated from Obio/Akpor LGA. Among those infected, 17.4% reported a history of travel, while 1% had attended a burial before contracting the virus. Symptomatic presentation was prevalent, with four out of every five confirmed cases (76.9%) experiencing various symptoms, with sore throat emerging as a common presentation alongside fever and other symptoms. Significant disparities were observed concerning the sex and age distribution of infections (p < 0.0001). Males were more affected than females, and individuals within the age groups of 31-40 and 41-50 constituted three-fifths of the total infections. Conclusion: As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, a notable shift in infection rates emerged, highlighting a trend where younger demographics, notably women, became increasingly susceptible. Despite initial perceptions of heightened severity and mortality among older males, nuanced analysis revealed diverse vulnerabilities across gender and age spectrums. Occupational exposures, biological variations, and behavioural disparities all contributed to the observed gender discrepancies in infection rates and outcomes. Furthermore, the urban landscape, with its higher population density and increased mobility, served as a catalyst for the rapid spread of the virus, albeit impacting genders in differing proportions. Moreover, the varied presentation of symptoms, with sore throat emerging as a prevalent feature alongside fever and other manifestations, underscores the necessity for tailored public health interventions.

PENGARUH UKURAN PERUSAHAAN, NILAI PERUSAHAAN, FINANCIAL LEVERAGE, NPM DAN PROFITABILITAS TERHADAP PERATAAN LABA

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of firm size, firm value, financial leverage, net profit margin and profitability on income smoothing practices in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 208-2020. From several sample selection criteria, 35 companies were selected by purposive sampling method that met the criteria. Processing research data using logistic regression analysis which is processed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) edition 26. The results shows that company size, financial leverage, net profit margin and profitability have no effect on income smoothing, while firm value has a negative effect to income smoothing. The implication of this study is for investors to be more thorough and critical in assessing the company's performance, especially from the financial side in making investment decisions.

FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TAX AVOIDANCE PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR DI BEI

This research aims to find out how the value of profitability, leverage and sales growth on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2020. This research uses a purposive sampling method based on data that matches the criteria are 49 companies. The data processing technique uses multiple regression analysis assisted by the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) for windows released 16 and Microsoft Excel 2007. The results of this research indicate that there is a significant influence between profitability, leverage and sales growth on tax avoidance. The implication of this research is that there is a tendency for companies to take tax avoidance actions which are caused by high levels of profitability, leverage and sales growth. This is done to maximize the company’s net profit.

Elucidating reaction mechanisms in the oxidative depolymerization of sodium lignosulfonate for enhancing vanillin production: A Density Functional Theory study

Lignin is a vital organic constituent of plant biomass and it can be transformed into value-added chemicals through chemical processes. This study employs the Density Functional Theory (DFT) to investigate the mechanistic effects of various oxidants on the depolymerization of sodium lignosulfonate model compounds into vanillin. Under alkaline conditions, OH- ions participation in the hydrolysis of β-O-4 bonds has been predicted. The dehydration of dihydroconiferyl alcohol to form eugenol, with an energy barrier of 69.0 kcal/mol was identified as the major rate-determining step in the oxidation reaction. In the absence of an oxidant, the energy barrier for the oxidation of eugenol to vanillin was 77.8 kcal/mol. However, when using nitrobenzene or H2O2 as oxidants, the energy barrier has significantly decreased to 12.6 kcal/mol and 21.4 kcal/mol, respectively. The effects of temperature and pressure on the rate-determining step of the reaction were analyzed using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software. These results have demonstrated that the energy barrier for the hydrolysis reaction's rate-determining step is positively correlated with temperature but negatively correlated with pressure. These theoretical findings would potentially help in designing the experiments and aid in enhancing the selectivity and yield of vanillin.

The Effects of Discounts and Bonus Packs on Impulse Buying for Consumers of Ramayana Flobamora Mall Kupang

This research aims to determine the effect of discounts and bonus packs on unplanned purchasing behavior (impulse buying) among consumers of Ramayana Flobamora Mall Kupang. The type of research used in this research is a quantitative research method with an associative approach. The population in this research are consumers who have made purchases at Ramayana Flobamora Mall Kupang. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling, obtaining a sample of 117 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 22.0 for Windows. Based on analysis tests on research results, the following results can be obtained: (1) discounts (X1) partially have a significant effect on impulse buying as evidenced by the t-count value of 7.409 > t-table 1.980 and the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, (2) The bonus pack (X2) partially has no significant effect on impulse buying as evidenced by the t-count value of 1.302 < t-table 1.980 and the significance value of 0.195 > 0.05, (3) discount (X1) and bonus pack (X2) simultaneously (altogether) influence consumer impulse buying at Ramayana Flobamora Mall Kupang with an F-count value of 53.990 > F-table 3.08 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05.

The role of moderation family ownership control in corporate governance mechanisms for earning management in group companies in Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of corporate governance on earnings management with ownership control as a moderating factor. The object of this study is issuer group companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The results of this study are The Corporate Governance moderated by family control has a significant effect on earnings management. The number of families who own shares as well as occupy positions in the company reinforces the influence of management decisions on earnings management. The Correlation between the Awareness of the Dangers in Smartphone Radiation and Sleep Quality among High School Students in Thailand

Despite smartphones’ critical benefits in several aspects of living in this generation, their emissions of radiation exert profound effects on the physical health of the affected individuals, including heightened risks of cancer as well as increased fibroblast activity of the skin. The aim of this study endeavors to determine the correlation between awareness of the dangers in utilizing smartphones before bed and sleep quality among high school students, to raise consciousness of the perils of smartphone radiation, and to observe sleep qualities among high school students. Through previous research, it was hypothesized that awareness of the dangers in smartphone radiation would negatively impact the sleep quality of the participants due to the negative ramifications of the radiation. To verify whether this also implies an impact on the Thai population, data were collected using a cross-sectional method with random samples of both Thai and international high school students. The information was later analyzed via Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). The results indicate a robust correlation between dangers in smartphone’s radiation and sleep quality (p = 0.451**), grade and sleep quality (p = 0.003*), and age and sleep quality (p = 0.002*). Moreover, a strong correlation between grade and sleep quality, as well as age and sleep quality, can be inferred that grade and age correlate with the amount of stress within individuals, having a negative effect on individuals’ sleep quality. Retrospective Analysis of Cancer Cervix at Awal Bros Batam Hospital in 2020-2022

Aims: This research aims to determine the characteristics of cervical cancer patients at Awal Bros Hospital, Batam, in 2020-2022. It also aims to create awareness of vaccination. This research used medical records from a sample of 97 people. Methodology: This research is non-experimental with a retrospective analytical descriptive design using secondary data from medical records of cervical cancer patients at Awal Bros Hospital, Batam, in 2020-2022 in August 2023. The sample in this study was selected from a population that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, namely 97 people. The research instrument used in this study was medical records of cervical cancer patients at Awal Bros Hospital, Batam, in 2020-2022. Data was processed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program with univariate tests. The analysis results will be presented as a frequency table and percentage diagram. Results: From the research results, from the entire patient sample of 97 people aged 25-65 years, it was found that the highest percentage of cancer sufferers were aged 35-50 years, 54 people (55.7%), marital status was 96 people (99%), 51 people had a history of multiparity 3-4 times (52.6%), 49 people (50.5%) had a high school education, 72 people (74.2%) worked as housewives, 52 people had complaints of bleeding (53.6%), and 70 people had a histopathological picture of squamous cell carcinoma. (72.2%), the degree of differentiation was reasonable. As many as 43 people (44.3%) Conclusion: This study concludes that cervical cancer patients at Awal Bros Batam Hospital in 2020-2022 were mainly aged 36-50 years, with marital status, married, a history of 3-4 times multiparity, had a high school education, and worked as a housewife. They had complaints of bleeding with histopathological features of squamous cell carcinoma and a good differentiation degree.

READINESS ANALYSIS OF OVO DIGITAL PAYMENT IMPLEMENTATION AT COFFEE STORE USING THE TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL (TAM) METHOD ( Study Case: Kontekstual Coffee )

Digital payments are a new technological development as financial technology (Fintech). The purpose of this study is to analyze readiness and find out influencing factors _ the level of use of OVO as a digital payment tool in the context of coffee with use TAM variable perceived usefulness (PU) , perceived ease of use (PEU), Atittude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention (BI). The analysis model of this research uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Retrieval technique sample used is technique sample convenience. While the data obtained in the form of primary data because data collection is done with method spread online questionnaire. As much 50 results questionnaire accepted and all could processed by researchers. Data analysis is carried out with use technique analysis using statistical product and service solutions (SPSS) programs. The research results obtained is PU, PEU, and ATU have positive influence to BI, as well as PU and PEU have positive influence to ATU.

Arytenoid adduction asymmetry among patients with laryngeal disorders

BackgroundArytenoid asymmetry is usually an incidental finding during video-pharyngo-laryngoscopic examinations, and few otolaryngologists have described the clinical implications of this among patient with laryngeal disorders.AimThe aim of the study is to document the prevalence of arytenoid adduction asymmetry in patients who had video-pharyngo-laryngoscopy and determine if there is any possible association between arytenoid adduction asymmetry and hoarseness.MethodsThis is a retrospective descriptive study involving patients who had video-pharyngo-laryngoscopic examinations for various indications. The medical charts and video-pharyngo-laryngoscopic examination findings recorded in the stored database in ENT outpatient departments of two institutions over a 2-year period were retrospectively reviewed for age, sex, occupation, presenting complaint, and indication for video-pharyngo-laryngoscopic findings and diagnosis. Arytenoid adduction asymmetry was defined in relation to the position of the corniculate cartilages, cuneiform cartilages, and aryepiglottic angle. All the variables in the data were analyzed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25.ResultsA total of 152 out of 209 patients had complete information needed for the review, 59 were males and 93 females with age range 20–91 years, and mean age was 46 ± 15.5 years. The overall prevalence rate for adduction asymmetry was 44.7%. Arytenoid asymmetry was seen commonest among the 5th and 6th decades of life and highest among the professional voice users (55%), while the male-to-female ratio was 1.6:1.Hoarseness constituted 40.1% of all indications for video-pharyngo-laryngoscopy, with 71% of patients with hoarseness having a primary laryngeal lesion, 26% had laryngopharyngeal reflux, and 3.3% were due to pubertal voice changes. A significant association was found between arytenoid asymmetry of the male gender P-value 0.027 and hoarseness P-value 0.026.ConclusionArytenoid adduction asymmetry is prevalent in the 5th and 6th decades of life, among patients with hoarseness resulting from unilateral primary laryngeal disorders.

Clinical application of a positioning annular gingival cutter in minimally invasive stage II implant surgery.

Dental implant restoration is an effective therapy for missing teeth and is widely used in clinical practice to provide more treatment options for patients. To explore the application of a positioning annular gingival cutter in minimally invasive stage II implant surgery and to evaluate its clinical effects. Stage II implant surgery using a positioning annular gingival cutter was performed on 15 selected patients at 15 implant sites with sufficient keratinized gingival width in the posterior region. The patient underwent crown restoration 2 weeks after surgery and returned for follow-up 3 months later. The surgical effects were recorded for each patient, including the duration of surgery, postoperative pain and swelling, keratinized gingiva width, probing depth (PD) measurements, and the percentage of bleeding on probing (BOP) before surgery, during crown restoration, and 3 months after crown restoration. The data were subjected to a paired sample t-test using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 25.0. The duration of stage II implant surgery using a positioning annular gingival cutter was 9.23 ± 1.63 min, and the duration of postoperative pain and swelling was 0.73 ± 0.35 and 0.81 ± 0.35 d, respectively. The keratinized gingiva width was 2.93 ± 0.41 mm before surgery and 2.91 ± 0.46 mm after crown restoration, demonstrating no significant reduction (P> 0.05). The keratinized gingiva width remained stable 3 months after crown restoration, with an average of 2.85 ± 0.49 mm, without significant reduction (P> 0.05). No obvious inflammation is observed. PD was 2.60 ± 0.52 mm and BOP was 10%. The use of a positioning annular gingival cutter in stage II implant surgery achieves a positive and stable clinical effect within a short time.

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of educational level and work experience on work performance with work motivation as an intervening variable. The population in this study were production employees at PT Tarumartani. The technique used in sampling in this study was simple random sampling, and a total sample of 65 employees of the Production division of PT Tarumartani was obtained as respondents. Data collection was carried out using the questionnaire method, then the data obtained was processed using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the level of education has a significant effect on work performance, work experience does not have a significant effect on work performance, education level does not has a significant effect on work motivation, work experience has a significant effect on work motivation, work motivation has an effect on work performance.

Relationship between Anthropometric and Serum Parameters of Adolescent School Children Aged 10 – 19 Years in Upland and Riverine Public Secondary Schools in Rivers State

The study assessed the relationship between anthropometric and serum parameters of adolescent school children aged 10 – 19 years in upland and riverine public secondary schools in Rivers state. Four hundred and eighteen (418) adolescents were randomly selected from 4 secondary schools, two each from the upland and riverine areas for the study. Standard procedures were used to obtain data for all parameters. Serum from forty subjects was used for biochemical analysis. Data collected was analysed using statistical product and service solution (SPSS) for windows version 25. Data obtained was presented as frequencies, percentages, Pearson correlation was used to determine the relationship between variables and significance accepted at p ≤ 0.05. Significant correlation exist between BMI and haemoglobin in the upland (r = 0.364) and in the riverine area (r = 0.819) at p<0.05.While a positive correlation was observed between WHR and serum zinc in the Riverine (r = 0.731) at p<0.05, and a negative correlation exists between WHR and serum calcium in the Upland (r = -0.421) area at p<0.05. MUAC showed a positive correlation with Haemoglobin in the Upland (r = 0.452) at p<0.05. Triceps (r = -0.818) and sub-scapula (r = -0.747) skinfolds both showed negative correlations with serum zinc in the Riverine area at p<0.01 and p<0.05 respectively. Nutrition education and counseling are essential in secondary schools to reduce malnutrition among adolescent school children.

The Relationship between Age and Level of Income with Understanding of Islamic Digital Banking

The rapid growth of information and communication technology development has driven the Islamic banking and finance industry to digitalize all transactions and Islamic banking products to go fully online. However, there is a hindrance in developing Islamic digital banking which is the lack of understanding about Islamic digital banking among Malaysia community from different age and level of income. This study aims to investigate the relationship between age and level of income of Malaysian community with the level of knowledge about Islamic digital banking. This study employed a quantitative survey questionnaire of 100 respondents. The Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software version 27 has been used in this study in analysing the data through descriptive analysis. The general finding of this study showed that the young generation and people with lower income have more intention to adopt this new application compared to the older generation and people with higher income. By analyzing these relationships, the research could help Islamic banks tailor their services and products to various demographic groups, enhancing accessibility and understanding. Additionally, the findings might inform policymaking to create a more inclusive financial system, particularly in predominantly Muslim countries. Overall, the study appears to connect the fields of demographics, technology, economics, and cultural studies, potentially providing essential insights for the development and growth of Islamic digital banking.

Examining the Drivers of Cryptocurrency Investment Intentions among Undergraduates in Malaysian Universities

This study aimed to examine the variables that affect Malaysian university students' intentions to invest in cryptocurrencies. Few studies have been conducted on the factors influencing Malaysian university students' intention to invest in cryptocurrencies, despite a wealth of research on the desire to do so. The researcher used a self-administered questionnaire to collect data for this quantitative study, which was grounded in a positivist philosophy. The target population was students who intend to invest or have invested previously in cryptocurrencies. A total of 106 respondents were obtained. The results of this study were empirically analyzed using a deductive approach and the positivist philosophy. The Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) was used to process and analyze the data. The study's findings demonstrated that among the students surveyed, financial literacy, perceived trust, and social norms all had a significant impact on their intention to invest in cryptocurrencies. It was discovered, nevertheless, that their intention to purchase cryptocurrency is not significantly impacted by their perception of behavioral control. This study's value and implications stem from the insights it provides to various stakeholders in the cryptocurrency space, such as marketers, educators, and businesses engaged in the development, exchange, and creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). To draw in and keep the interest of potential investors, the study's findings indicate that these parties should concentrate on raising financial literacy and spreading knowledge about cryptocurrencies. The study's conclusions add to our knowledge of undergraduates' investing behavior and have applications for those involved in the cryptocurrency space.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 5 MANIAMOLO

Based on the background of the problem, student activity seems to be lacking in the learning process, especially student activity in asking the teacher regarding the material being discussed, students do not understand the material presented, there is a reluctance of students to ask the teacher because they are embarrassed even though they are given the opportunity, but students only listen to the lecture. and do the exercises given. This research aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Maniamolo. This type of research is quantitative, descriptive in nature. The population of this research is class VII students, while the sample of this research is students of class VII-A and class VII-B of SMP Negeri 5 Maniamolo. This research data was analyzed using normality tests and hypothesis testing using the SPSS (Statistical product and service solution) application. The results of the two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class, can be said to be more students who have completed learning using the discovery learning model compared to the learning outcomes of students using the conventional learning model and while participating in learning activities using the discovery learning model it appears that in the initial test, students still did not understand the material presented, whereas in the final test after completing the learning process the students really understood what was conveyed by the teacher and were able to get through the assignments given with quite good learning results. Researcher suggestions (1) teachers should use the discovery learning learning model in learning activities because it makes students diligent and think more critically in learning and the attraction gained by studying social studies. (2) Future researchers should carry out this research with a broader scope.

The Determinants of Manufacturer Firm Value in the Indonesia Stock Exchange During Pandemic: Signalling Theory Perspective

The importance of a company's value cannot be overstated as it directly correlates with the prosperity of shareholders. Elevated company value translates to increased shareholder wealth, primarily manifested through higher stock prices. This research endeavors to empirically assess the impact of liquidity, leverage, and profitability – independent variables – on firm value within the food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2021. Employing a quantitative approach, secondary data from the official website (www.idx.co.id) was utilized, encompassing companies within this subsector. The research employed purposive sampling, selecting 28 companies from a total population of 84. Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 23 facilitated data analysis using multiple linear regression. Findings revealed that liquidity (X1) exhibited a significance value of 0.511, surpassing the 0.05 significance level (0.511 > 0.05), with a negative t value of -0.663. This implies that liquidity (X1) does not exert a significant influence on firm value (Y). Likewise, leverage (X2) yielded a significance value of 0.326, exceeding the 0.05 level (0.326 > 0.05), accompanied by a positive t value of 0.993
