General description of technology for future marketologist leadership competence formation in the process of interdisciplinary training

Globalisation and increasing competition have resulted in the increased demand for marketologists without whom today any organisation finds it virtually impossible to operate. However, only a professional with a high level of education, a developed personality, well-informed moral values and an active civil position, who is able to act and think in modern conditions, can compete effectively in the labour market. Leadership should be seen as a necessary component in achieving professional competence, without which full self-realisation of a specialist is not possible. Therefore, the problem of developing leadership competence of future marketologists in the university's educational environment arises. The article highlights the technology aimed at future marketologist leadership competence formation in the process of interdisciplinary training in accordance with the requirements of new standards of higher education for bachelor students majoring in 075 "Marketing" in higher educational establishments. It determines the essence of implementation of student-centered and interdisciplinary approaches as well as the use of interactive learning methods. The purpose of the technology has been determined, methodological approaches and principles of the study have been described. The blocks of technology have been сharacterised which contain the components as follows: targeted, theoretical-methodological, content-organizational and diagnostic-resultative blocks. The stages of implementing the pedagogical technology of future marketologist leadership competence formation into the practice of university education are outlined: orientation-motivational, practical, evaluative-reflexive. Within the mentioned stages, the corresponding forms and methods of organizing the educational process of forming future marketologist leadership competence are presented. The important role of extracurricular activities, internship and research work in formation of future marketologist leadership competence is emphasized, their content and tasks are described.

Teaching, research or balanced? An exploration of the experiences of biomedical scientists working in UK medical schools.

Driven by demand for high standards in university education, efforts have been made in the UK to address the perceived imbalance between teaching and research. However, teaching is still perceived by many as having less credibility and is attributed less importance. The purpose of our research was to explore how distinct types of academic job profiles (‘research’ or ‘education’ focused, or ‘balanced’) impact on biomedical scientists' perceptions of the lecturer role. Specifically, we investigated the experiences of biomedical scientists in ‘post‐1990’ medical schools, which are known for their commitment to excellence in both research and education. We conducted 22 face‐to‐face, semi‐structured interviews with biomedical scientists in five schools. Focusing on experiences of work, the interviews covered: ‘motivations’, ‘role expectations’, ‘teaching’, ‘research’ and ‘career’. The recorded qualitative data were transcribed and then analysed thematically. Our results, offering an insight into the working lives of biomedical scientists in medical education, suggest that in settings with a dual emphasis on education and research, individuals on ‘balanced’ contracts can experience a strong pull between research and teaching. In addition to posing significant challenges with respect to workload management, this can impact profoundly on professional identity. In contrast to the balanced role, ‘research’ or ‘education’ focused roles appear to have clearer requirements, leading to higher employee satisfaction. We conclude that to assist the educational mission of Higher Education, attention should be paid to balanced contracts, to (a) ensure employee support, (b) mitigate against negative perceptions of teaching, and ultimately, (c) guard against staff attrition.

Development of the Advertising Specialty in Higher Education in Russia and China

The process of globalization and the emergence of various new media are currently increasing the importance of the study of advertising in various fields, including higher education. This is due to the fact that the ability of manufacturers to create and display advertising texts makes it possible to effectively promote ideas, goods or services around the world for commercial and non-commercial purposes. The research is devoted to a comparative analysis of the development of the advertising specialty in higher education in post-Soviet Russia (1991-2020) and in the Peoples Republic of China (1949-2020). It presents the history of the formation and development of the advertising specialty in Russian and Chinese universities. The authors investigate the extent to which the development of this specialty in universities complies with the requests of government agencies and of the advertising industry in Russia and China in different periods. The goal of the study is to examine the specifics of the development processes of the advertising specialty in Russia and China and to identify their advantages and disadvantages. Addressing the topic is relevant due to the intensity of the development of advertising and to the need to search for new forms of learning for the further development of this promising specialty in higher education. The results of the analysis have helped identify similarities and differences in the development of these processes in the two countries and describe specific features of the latter with due account of social, economic and historical factors at various stages of development. The obtained data proves that, along with similarities, the development of the advertising specialty in higher education in Russia and China has certain differences, which is directly related to the ideological atmosphere, financial state, economic strategies, and higher education standards in the two countries.

Telehealth and the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner: Beyond the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Examine the advantages, disadvantages, and challenges of telehealth for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) in practice and student education. Describe areas for future research and policy development regarding telehealth in PMHNP practice and training during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Review current evidence, standards of practice, and education for the PMHNP. Recent rapid pandemic-related shifts in utilization of telehealth for clinical practice and student education have highlighted the advantages, disadvantages, and areas in need of additional study. Postpandemic telehealth care delivery will likely persist or expand. PMHNPs must advocate for high practice and education standards.

Linguodidactic potential of the electronic textbook as an innovative means of teaching a foreign language at the technical university

The paper considers the features of development and practical use of an electronic foreign language textbook at the technical university. This study is dictated by the need to resolve contradictions between the provisions declared by the higher education standards of the latest generation and the real level of students knowledge of a foreign language. The authors analyze and systematize the requirements for printed and electronic foreign language textbooks. Attention is paid to the advantages of electronic publications over printed ones. The key advantage of the electronic textbook is the presence of hypertext, which makes it possible to implement a nonlinear form of information organization. The paper formulates basic principles of an electronic textbook development, describes its structure and components and highlights the issues of filling the content with language material. The authors proposed the options for tasks aimed at stimulating students communicative and cognitive activity. It is shown that podcasts can be used as multimedia resources to intensify the development of students listening skills. It is emphasized that the availability of special programs for creating electronic textbooks allows the teacher to carry out its development without any special training in the field of programming. As a result of the analysis, the authors come to the conclusion about a high linguodidactic potential of the electronic textbook as a teaching tool.

MOOCs-The way to go

MOOCs plays a vital role in transforming higher education across the globe. Today, providing an access to higher education to people of all sectors is the highest priority in all the developed and developing countries. Currently many universities in developed countries are able to get to the top rankings (by various agencies) because of their high education standards, flexibility in the education system, curriculum and outreach programmes. By this they are able to attract the best brains from across the globe. MOOCs helps them to attain this to a greater extent apart from the policy matters. In this paper, cumulative data of three consecutive years of a NPTEL local chapter and of courses in Coursera taken during the peak pandemic duration is taken in to consideration for the analysis of trends and popularity of MOOCs among students and faculty fraternity in a technical institution.

Wikipedia is the largest web-based digital encyclopedia today that contains almost all knowledge in general. On Wikipedia many readers have difficulty finding accurate information about the topic they are looking for, as content on Wikipedia usually contains only an overview of the topic referenced from some existing references. This study aims to examine Wikipedia, other encyclopedias and other online media that contain specific topics with their target users. The study was conducted on literature related to Wikipedia, encyclopedias, education and children's interests, especially at the elementary school level. Literature search is done by including some of the main keywords in Google Scholar such as "Wikipedia", "encyclopedia", "elementary school curriculum", "educational content" and "learning media". Literature is also obtained through the official website of the Ministry of Education and Culture which contains elementary and junior high school education standards, educational assessment standards, and literacy and numeration learning modules at elementary level. The results of literature analysis include 4 classifications based on topics, namely evaluation of usage, content, online learning and media. Based on the results of the analysis found that there has not been much research on the digital encyclopedia for education.

Requirements for the content and training of PhD in the specialty of automation and computer-integrated technologies

The aim of the article is to disclose the requirements for the content and training of PhDs in the specialty 151 Automation and computer-integrated technologies, the implementation of which will contribute to the successful accreditation of educational and scientific programs of other specialties of higher educational institutions in Ukraine. Research Methods: The study involved the analysis of the regulatory framework of documents for the training of doctors of philosophy, standards of higher education, scientific and methodological literature, educational and scientific programs of higher educational institutions. The results of the study consist in highlighting the main aspects that should be taken into account for the successful accreditation of educational and scientific programs.

Prospects for healthcare personnel training in the public health system of Ukraine

Purpose: scientific substantiation of training of medical personnel for the public health system of Ukraine. During 2017-2020, the Department of Public Health conducted a systematic analysis of public health staffing in Ukraine, developed countries and Europe. For the first time, a model of formation of specialists' competencies for the public health system of Ukraine in the postgraduate education program with a multidisciplinary approach to training is substantiated and developed, which includes such disciplines as epidemiology, hygiene, medical statistics, laboratory diagnostics, information technology, legal law and others. This enables to reveal the tools and methods of system management, improve the availability and quality of work during the formation and development of the industry. The need for medical education for public health specialists who are ready to perform basic operational functions to preserve and strengthen the health of the population of Ukraine has been established. For the first time, methodological approaches to the improvement of higher medical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels have been scientifically substantiated, taking into account modern requirements for the functioning of the public health system; competence models of the public health specialist in modern conditions of realization of his activity are created; standards of higher education at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels in the specialty 229 “Public health” in the field of knowledge 22 “Health Care” have been developed.

English Linguistic Competencies Formation through Specially Designed Border Guards’ Practical Training

The current study inquires about the cadets’ practical training in their primary positions as interpreters/translators. The research is focused on efficient on-the-job training and its organizational procedures for the competence and competency-based approaches. The aim of the practical training of the cadets who study by Philology specialty is to apply English as a foreign language in service situations concerning language immersion and translating issues in the law-enforcement sphere. Needs analysis conducted by the Foreign Languages Department instructors testified to the great significance of the on-the-job training. The Academy’s graduates were interviewed to specify the duties and skills required for their job performance and reveal the gaps in the academic study of the cadets by Philology specialty. For this reason, practical training in linguistics was developed to bring theory and practice together, to improve and foreground the theoretical knowledge through true-to-life task completion. Competencies analysis was made concerning higher education standards by specialty 035 Philology for the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the relevant ones were selected. Twenty-two cadets of the Academy have undergone practical training in their would-be primary positions. It is expected that the cadets will be provided with relevant experience in the position of an interpreter/translator of the Division of International Cooperation and Border Representative Work and get essential links to the content of the future service. The consequent research will concern the practical training results verification based on their defense presentation assessment.

SPECIFICS OF TRAINING OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS TO BE CAPABLE TO SELF-DEVELOP THEIR PROFESSIONAL CAREER IN THE SETTINGS OF STANDARDIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The process of standardization of education is determined by the need to create, on the one hand, unified, and on the other hand, distinctive only to the certain field of knowledge/specialty components, which clearly define the lists of competencies of graduates and expected learning outcomes. This creates the basic mechanisms for developing a wide variety of educational programmers run at higher educational institutions as a basis for training a new generation of specialists with higher education, including pedagogical education, in accordance with the requests of students seen as customers of educational services (internal stakeholders) and employers (external stakeholders). Therefore, educational standards are an essential element of any national education system, the type of which is determined by political, socio-economic conditions, traditions of a particular country and so on. Ukraine, which is no exception, seeks to integrate with the European research and educational space with their high standards in science and education. In the process of specifying the features of training the pre-service teachers to be ready for professional career development with regards to the implementation of Standards of Higher Education in the specialty of 011 “Educational, Pedagogical Sciences”, field of knowledge of 01 “Education / Pedagogics”, in particular for the second (Master’s) level of higher education, it was found that in the list of general competencies of the graduates the most important for the development of professional career are as follows: the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources (GC2); ability to apply knowledge in practical situations (GC3); ability to acquire and master modern knowledge (GC4); ability to adapt and act in a new situation (GC5); ability of interpersonal interaction (GC7); ability to act socially responsibly and consciously GC8); ability to work in an international context (GC9). Acquisition of such competencies will allow the future teacher to fulfil the five key tasks related to their career growth. These are as follows: 1) career choice; 2) career adaptation; 3) career planning; 4) career change (move); 5) career development.

A Comparative Study of the Quality of Higher Education Provision in Public and Private Universities in Bangladesh

The evolution of a modern society largely depends on the essence of quality higher education. In a developing country, higher education has enormous potential to foster its development. Universities all over the world are changing actors of culture and remain the center of transformation and growth. Different Education Commissions have been formed in Bangladesh to explore the potentialities and create highly skilled human resources to contribute the national development (Topader, 2021). Due to the economic and globalization change emphasis on the quality education in education policy across the world. As a result, policymakers, academicians, and professionals in Bangladesh have expressed various issues regarding the quality of higher education. Over the last two decades, the standard of higher education in Bangladesh has steadily deteriorated (Rabbani & Chowdhury, 2014). In this regard, the government, ministry, and UGC have taken various initiatives to ensure quality higher education, especially at the tertiary level, to meet global demand. In this regard, this research aims to learn more about a particular scenario of higher education quality and investigate policy options for higher education in Bangladesh. In this connection, this study tried to determine the specific design of quality higher education and analyze the policy options for higher education in Bangladesh.

“Digital” Professions of the Information Specialist: Educational Prospects and Labor Market Requirements

The topicality of the study is caused to the contradiction that arises due to the separation of new types of information activities in the digital environment against the background of the uncertainty of the specialties that correspond to them and for which the training of higher education. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the correlation between the qualification requirements for representatives of modern “digital” professions in the field of information and communication activities, namely, managers of web content and web community and the profile of educational standards for training on specialty 029 “Information, library and archival affairs “. The scientific novelty of the study is to substantiate the compliance of professional tasks of specialists in web content management and web community to the competence parameters of educational standards of specialty 029 “Information, library and archival affairs”, the feasibility of developing educational programs for modern “digital” professions in within the specialty 029 “Information, library and archival affairs”. Conclusions. Digitization of all spheres of public life leads to the emergence and formalization of new types of professional activities, including professions of web content managers and web community, for which the labor market-defined design of competencies can be provided through the training on the specialty 029 “Information, library and archival case”. The requirements for such specialists have information and communication, information and management, and social and communicative content and do not need special professional education in the field of computer science. The normative content of education and competence, approved by the standards of higher education in the specialty 029 “Information, Library and Archival Affairs” (bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees), indicates their compliance with defined in the draft of the professional standard “Information Resource Specialist” objects of activity, labor functions and labor actions of representatives of modern “digital” professions – web content manager and web community manager.

When Their Voices Are Heard: Bilingual Paraeducators and Organizational Dynamics

Paraeducators play a marginal yet essential role in fulfilling teaching-related tasks in many international classrooms in China. In order to meet high standards of education, schools often provide professional training to paraeducators. However, in the training process, schools primarily focus on their own needs and rarely consider the personal condition or positionality of paraeducators. Informed by positioning theory, this study argues that overlooking paraeducators’ needs and positions can be detrimental to the success of institutionally provided training. This case study, which spans the course of 2 years, explores how Chinese bilingual paraeducators’ self-positioning impacts their responses to professional training, their daily teaching practices, and their subsequent professional development. Findings suggest that paraeducators should not remain peripheral figures in an organization because hearing and understanding their self-positioning practices and concerns can be beneficial to both paraeducators’ professional learning and schools’ organizational development.

The external environment and any amendments to regulations for higher education meso policies may affect the choice of actions and institutional decisions in the operational process of higher education in terms of adapting with and adopting institutions. Exploration of sundry field findings of this study has revealed several aspects to view, it’s how the regulations become a highly influential elements, organizational culture and work culture of other institutions, national, regional and global insights, the influence of inter-institutional cooperation, and assessment of international accreditation.

Досвід викладання вибіркової дисципліни «Сучасні принципи діагностики та лікування дизонтогенетичної патології щелепно-лицевої ділянки»

Sustainable development of public health care in Ukraine, in particular dental care, requires highly qualified specialists with skills in the field of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of various human diseases. Therefore, improving the quality of training of health care professionals in compliance with the standards of higher education is very important current issue. The Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy has created all the necessary conditions for the formation of individual educational trajectory of students of the second (Master’s) level of higher education in the specialty 221 “Dentistry” due to the balance of compulsory and elective educational components in the curriculum “Dentistry”. It contains a large list of elective components created by the UMSA faculty staff at the initiative of the academy and the recommendations of stakeholders, including “Current principles of the diagnosis and treatment of dysontogenetic pathology of the maxillofacial area”, which comprehensively studies the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, current methods of diagnosrics, treatment of diseases of dysontogenetic origin in children; develops skills of making a rational plan of examination of a patient with diseases caused by embryogenetic disorders and the ability to analyze the resulting data; identifies the key symptoms and syndromes of dysontogenetic origin and differential diagnosis with justification and making the diagnosis, principles of comprehensive treatment of patients; contributes in prediction and prevention of complications of these diseases in children. The paper highlights the experience of teaching the elective component of the curriculum “Current principles of the diagnosis and treatment of dysontogenetic pathology of the maxillofacial area” at the Department of Pediatric Oral Surgery of UMSA, which showed the prospects of teaching it to the 5th – year dental students and received positive feedback. This inspired the faculty staff of the Department to continue activities on improving the academic process.
