Coaching for sports achievements must of course be carried out from an early age in a planned and continuous manner through talent scouting. Interest is also part of the success factor, because if someone has a high interest and talent for the activities to be carried out, it will create a sense of pleasure and will foster great attention in a sport. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of interest and talent potential of SDIT Al-Furqon Garut students in badminton. This research is quantitative descriptive. The method used is a survey with instruments using questionnaires and tests. The subjects in this study were students in grades 5 and 6 of SDIT Al-Furqon Garut in 2021 which collected 40 students. The data analysis technique used in this study uses descriptive statistics with percentages. The results showed that the students' interest in badminton was 35%. Very high category 2.5%, high category 32.5%, low category 25%, and very low category 5%. While the potential talent of students who have a very potential frequency level is 0 students or 0%, in the category of potential as many as 10 students or 25%, in the category of sufficient potential as many as 18 students or 45%, in the category of less potential many as 10 students or 25%, and in the category of not potential as many as 2 students or 5%. The talent of the 5th and 6th graders of SDIT Al-Furqon Garut can be ascertained to be sufficient.
