Objective To explore the effects of micro-teaching model based on guidebooks in practical training among nursing students so as to provide a reference for training and improving overall quality of nursing students. Methods From June 2015 to May 2016, a total of 63 nursing students of our hospital were selected in the control group by purposive sampling. From June 2016 to May 2017, 65 nursing students were chosen in the observation group. Nursing students of the control group accepted traditional teaching. Nursing students of the observation group were taught with the micro-teaching model based on guidebooks. The theory and operation achievements as well as nursing students' satisfaction with the teaching mode were compared. Results The theory and operation achievements of the observation group were higher than those of the control group with significant differences (P<0.01) . The nursing students' satisfaction with the teaching mode of the observation was higher than that of the control group with a significant difference (P<0.01) . Conclusions The micro-teaching model based on guidebooks can improve the theory and operation achievements as well as nursing students' satisfaction with the teaching mode. It is worthy of spreading.
