Abstract

Objective To explore the application of clinical common symptoms oriented graduation practice model in nursing students upgraded from junior college of school of continuing education. Methods The reform method, symptoms oriented graduation practice model, was confirmed based on identifying the needs of graduation practice in nursing students upgraded from junior college by focus group. This model was implemented in nursing students upgraded from junior college of the grade 13 of school of continuing education of Peking Union Medical College from September 2014 to September 2016. And then, the situation of medical records handed in and their quality of nursing students were evaluated. Results The nursing students all completed the medical records on time with eligible score. A total of 325 medical records were collected with 200 (67.7%) for excellence performance, 105 (32.3%) for good performance. Conclusions The reform launched by clinical common symptoms oriented graduation practice model can achieve satisfactory results in teaching.
