The Effect of PjBL Model based on Skill Approach Process to Physics Critical Thinking Ability of High School Student

This study was aimed at describing and determining the level of critical thinking skills of students using learning tools with a project based learning model based on material process skills approach to momentum and impulse in class X.4 (Modeling) and X.2 (Implementation) SMAN 1 Kalasang, Indonesia. This research was a Pre-Experiment Design research using the One-Shot Case Study Design research design. Research subjects were 48 students which obtained based on purposive sampling by looking at certain criteria and reasons. The results of the research data were obtained through critical thinking ability test instruments, learning device planning instruments, student worksheet instruments, and valid product assessment instruments, and instrument validation. Data collection techniques consisted of the preparation stage, implementation phase, and data collection stage. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills using learning tools with a project based learning model based on material process skills approach to the momentum and impulse of SMAN 1 Kalasang were in the good category (Modeling class with an average value of 75.20 and an Implementation class with an average value of 77.39). And there was increase in critical thinking skills after using learning tools with a project based learning model based on the process skills approach to material momentum and impulse of SMAN 1 Kalasang in the Modeling class as well as in the Implementation class.

Penggunaan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa Tentang Konsep Energi Bunyi Di Kelas Vi Sd Negeri 110 Pompanua Kabupaten Bone

The problems in this study are as follows: whether learning process approaches can improve students' understanding of the concept of sound energy in Class VI SD Negeri 110 Pompanua Kab. Bone. Sources of data in this study are research personnel consisting of students and teachers. The types of data obtained are quantitative and qualitative data consisting of learning outcomes tests, observations, evaluations, reflections and interview results. The results of the study show that there is an increase which means both the activities of teachers and students during the learning process and the results of learning to understand the concept of sound energy. This increase can be seen in each cycle of cycles. Cycle one level of student mastery is sufficient (C), cycle two levels of mastery of good students (B). From the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that learning using a process skills approach that could improve students' understanding of sound energy concept teaching in 110 Public Schools in Pompanua was as follows: (a) Observing, (b) Classifying / calcifying, (c) Interpreting, (d) Planning research, (e) Predicting, and (f) Applying, (g) Communicating, and (h) Evaluation. The Researcher's suggestion is for elementary school teachers to use the process skills approach as one of the alternatives to improve the understanding of concepts in sound energy learning in elementary schools.

PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI KELILING DAN LUAS LINGKARAN DI KELAS VIII AL BIRUNI SMP ISLAM TERPADU AL FAHMI PALU

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the application of the process skills approach to improve student learning outcomes at materials circumference and area of circle in class VIII AL Biruni SMP IT Al Fahmi Palu. The design of this research is based on Kemmis dan Mc Taggart Model, it consisted of four components, (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data collected in this research is in the form of data obtained from interviews, observations of teacher activities and student activities in the cycle I and cycle II, and the results of tests on a cycle I and cycle II. Based on research results, that applying Process Skill Approach which has 8 steps that is (1) heating, (2) observations, (3) interpretation of the observations, (4) forecasting, (5) Assessment, (6) generalizations discovery, (7) application and (8) communication with use worksheet at materials circumference and area of circle can to improve the results of student’s study class VIII AL Biruni SMP IT Al Fahmi Palu
 

Development of the science learning tools for junior high school based on group investigation with skill process approach in heat and the movement learning materials

Good learning device can develop thinking ability and motivation of the students in understanding the facts, concepts, principles, and procedures. One of the learning tools that support these objectives is a model group investigation with Process Skills Approach. This study aims to develop devices based science teaching junior high school learning model with the model group investigation science process skills approach to material heat and displacement with valid criteria, practical and effective in learning. This type of research is the development of research. Development model used is the model 4-D comprising the steps define, design, development and desseminate. Product trials conducted in the classroom SMPN 7 Sijunjung VII.1 and the proliferation of devices is done in class VII.4 SMPN 7. The instrument consisted of a sheet of validation and observation sheet. Type of data collected activity and student learning outcomes. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the results obtained define phase learning device development needs. Results obtained at the design stage prototype learning device that consists of a syllabus, lesson plans, handouts, student work sheet and assessment sheets for heat and displacement of material designed according to the steps of learning model group investigation with the approach of science process skills. The development phase obtained validity value of 91%, the value of the practicalities of 83.3% and a value of 86.4% effectiveness. At the desseminate stage, learning devices are obtained with a practical value of 85.4% and the effectiveness of learning devices is 85% when distributed in other classes.

Validity of integrated natural science teacher’s book with immersed type that contain character on subject of bio-electrical energy by using science process skills approach

The learning of integrated science in SMP/MTs is supported by the resources of the student’s book and teacher’s book. The teacher’s book is guide for the teacher in learning preparation, implemention, and assessment. The aim of this research is to know the validity of Integrated Natural Science (IPA) Teacher’s Book with Immersed Type that Contain Character on Subject of Bio-Electrical Energy by using Science Process Skills Approach. The kind of this research is Research and Development with using research Plomp model. The instrument of the research is the observation sheet in the form of teacher validation questionnaire. The data analysis is descriptive using Likert scale technique. The result of the research shows that the Teacher’s Book with Immersed Type that Contain Character on Subject of Bio-Electrical Energy by using Science Process Skills Approach which is valid category (0.78) by expert and by practitioner.

THE ROLE OF PROCESS SKILLS APPROACH TO IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING AND STUDENT LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

This study aims to (1) describe the application of the process skills approach in improving students' critical thinking, (2) describe the application of the process skills approach in increasing student achievement, (3) describe the effectiveness of the application of the process skills approach in improving student learning achievement. This research was carried out using Classroom Action Research (CAR) and quasi-experimental. The data collection method in this study used an observation sheet to measure the teacher's ability to apply the Process Skills approach and students' critical thinking abilities, as well as a test to measure student learning achievement improvement. For data analysis, the analysis used mean score analysis and t-test. Based on the results of research conducted in three cycles in class XII IPA 1, this research resulted in the following conclusions: (1) The application of the process skills approach can improve students' critical thinking skills, (2) The application of the process skills approach can improve student achievement, (3) The application of process skills effectively improves student achievement in Biology subjects

PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN DAN KREATIVITAS TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

This article aims to prove the influence of learning and creativity approaches to understanding the concept of Natural Sciences (IPA). Quasi-experimental research uses a pre-test post-test control group design. The study population was Al-Falah Islamic Elementary School, Jambi City with a sample of class VI students. Data analysis uses two-way variance analysis (ANAVA). The results showed the following findings: 1) the influence of students' understanding of the science concept learned by the process skills approach was different from the students taught by conventional approaches, 2) the influence of the understanding of science concepts of students who have high creativity learned by the process skills approach different from students who have high creativity taught by conventional approaches, 3) Understanding of science concepts students who have low creativity who are taught by the process skills approach are relatively the same as students who have low creativity taught by conventional approaches, 4) There is no significant interaction between the use of process skills approaches and conventional approaches to creativity towards understanding the science concept. Penggunaan Metode Keterampilan Proses untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Bahasa Indonesia melalui Telepon Siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Kundur

The purpose of this study is to improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of State Elementary School 03 Kundur because in reality there are a few students who get the lowest score that is 62 while the Criterion of Minimal Completeness(KKM) of his school has set 70. The Efforts to improve learning outcomes is by using the Process Skill Approach consisting of two cycles in which Cycle I and Cycle II. The Subject in this study is students of grade IV of State Elementary School 02 Kundur. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The result of this study is from the beginning until two cycles that is pra-cycle on the average score 74.44, cycle I that is 74.11, and cycle II increased to 80.44. The score of cycle I is the lowest 65 and the highest 85. In the cycle II, lowest score is 70 and the highest one is 90. The complete score in cycle I is only 19 students (70,37) and uncomplete score is 8 students (29,63%). In cycle II, there is a change in which all students have completed score (100%). Having been viewed from the range of score ​​and criteria on the high cycle I score is (26.93%), sufficient score is 44.44% and low score is 29.63%. so cycle I of criteria score lies in sufficient Criteria score . On the second cycle, there are increases of the very high criteria score 11.11%, high score criteria 48.15% and sufficient score criteria 40.74% then the score of cycle II lies in the High score criteria. The Subject in this study is students of grade IV State Elementary School 03 Kundur.

IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN SCIENCE LEARNING BY APPLYING THE PROCESS SKILL APPROACH IN BASIC SCHOOL

This research was derived from the facts indicating that the fourth grade students� learning achievement at SD Negeri 05 2x11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman was still low. The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of the students� learning achievement in natural science by using Process Skill Approach in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 05 2x11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The number of the subject was 20 students. This was a Classroom Action Research which applied both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the research showed that the students� learning achievement improved from 76,75 in the firs cycle to 86, 75 in the second cycle. Hence, the us of Process Skill Approach could improve the fourth grade students� learning achievement at SD Negeri 05 2x11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.

PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MAHASISWA PGSD UPP BONE PADA MATA KULIAH KONSEP DASAR IPA II

This study aims to improve the ability of PGSD UPP Bone students in the basic science basic 2 course using process skill approach. The benefits of the research are: (1) Expected Lecturer has knowledge of the theory of process skill approach which is one of the forms of learning innovation in elementary school. (2) it is expected that the lecturer in the course has a learning theory that can be used as a reference to improve the science learning outcomes. The population of the study was UPP PGSD Bone class 25.C was 19 students. Technique of collecting data of this research is by test, direct interview, observation and field note. Data analysis using descriptive statistical techniques to describe student learning outcomes. The results of the study are as follows; (2) Lecturer still have to maximize in designing lesson plan by using process skill approach, (3) Lecturer must improve competence in using a process skill approach. the improvement of students ability by using approach of process skill because student at the time learn more active in implementation of learning process.

PENGEMBANGAN MODUL IPA TERPADU MATERI GERAK MELALUI PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMP HIKMAH YAPIS JAYAPURA

Research and Development on Learning using IPA module based on science process skill approach aimed at: (1) knowing how to develop learning module of science. (2) to know the feasibility of developing the learning module of science. (3) to know the advantages and disadvantages of IPA learning module. (4) to know the improvement of learning result by using learning module of IPA. The location of this research was conducted in class VIII SMP Hikmah Yapis Jayapura with 30 students. The results of the validity of module validator obtained by 91.42% with very decent category, the validation of teachers obtained 76.25% with good category, and the results of large-scale module test of 84.17% with very good category. To know the increase of result from science process skill done directly with result of average percentage equal to 80,44% with good category. the result of the average n-gain analysis of class VIII learning result is 0.40 of medium concept concept category, the final analysis result can be concluded that the use of class VIII motion module gives positive impact for the students in learning, so that the science process skill is effectively used in the learning.Keywords: IPA Module, Through Science Process Skills.

PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA DENGAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS

his research is motivated because the problem of student learning result of fourth grade of SDN Pangestu on science subjects which tend to be low. Though science subjects in elementary school is one of the subjects listed in the primary school curriculum. Science subjects are also subjects that must be tested at the end of school examination (UAS). In the learning process, to optimize student learning outcomes, the teacher must optimize the skills of the science process. This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in science subjects by using the approach of science process skills. Research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The results of this study indicate that science learning by using science process skill approach can improve student learning outcomes of grade IV SDN Pangestu. This is seen based on the number of students who scored above the KKM. In the initial test there were 9 students from 30 students or 30% complete. In the 1st cycle there are 20 students from 30 students or 67% complete and in the second cycle there are 28 students or 94% who scored above the KKM.

PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V-B SDN 045 TARAKAN

The purpose of this research is to improve science learning outcomes by applying science process skill approach to students of grade V-B SDN 045 Tarakan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects were 31 students, male students were 16 students and 15 students. This study was conducted in two cycles each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data obtained in this study include observation sheet of teacher activity, student activity, cognitive and psychomotor research. The results of research by applying science process skill approach can improve science learning outcomes in students of grade V-B SDN 045 Tarakan. In cycle I completeness of learning result of cognitive aspect 54,839% to 90,322% in cycle II, psychomotor aspect of cycle I is 64,516% to 100% in cycle. So it can be concluded that the research has been successful and in accordance with success indicators.

The Effectiffeness of The Process-Based Skills Approach of Lesson Study Toward Achievement In Biology of Vocational School Students

Theory and practice are the one-entity that must be mastered in studying biology. Facts show that biological knowledge is not accompanied by practice of such science so that it focuses on theory. For that, it takes a learning approach that develops the skills to process knowledge acquisition that is the process skill approach. In addition to implementation of the strategies used, success in teaching and learning can not be separated from the teacher's efforts. Lesson Study is one that can be used as a method for teachers to exchange ideas in the preparation and development of biology learning plan. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of process approach based on Lesson Study on Biology student learning outcomes. This research type is quasi experimental by applying approach of process skill base on Lesson Study in experiment class and conventional learning model, that is lecturing and question and answer in control class. Results of the analysis using the effectiveness test using gain score. Average gain score of the experimental class is greater than the average gain score control class which means that learning using the approach of Lesson Study based process skills is more effective than conventional learning. Result of the affective value analysis using independent t-test shows (sig = 0,000 <0,05) so that based on the same variance assumption, the two classes have significant affective value difference or in other words there is influence of different treatment to student affective value..

PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR BAHASA INDONESIA

This research is a classroom action research. This research was carried out at Maarif MakassarVocational School. This study involved class X students with a total of 30 students. the purposeof this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian language for students of classX Maarif Makassar Vocational High School. This study uses 2 cycles with each one cycle of 3meetings. Based on the implementation of learning and discussion of the influence of theprocess skills approach in class X. So the authors can conclude that efforts to improve learningoutcomes and student involvement in the learning process in Indonesian subjects can be donewith active learning. The results of this study prove that the process skills approach is able toincrease student activity and involvement in the learning process and also improve studentlearning outcomes.

Abstract Improving Students’ Mathematic Achievement By Using Task Method At The Third Grade Students In Sd Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat, Kecamatan Tualang Kabupaten Siak In Academic Year 2015/2016

Elementary school level, basic skills, reading, writing and arithmetic are given on the subjects of mathematics and Indonesian language.Math and Indonesian lessons are very useful and fundamental lessons.But the condition of learning in class III SDN 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat these two subjects have not achieved maximum results.This is evident from the results of mathematics and Indonesian replication given only 10 students (42%) of 32 students the total number of students in class III SDN 07 pinang a western trunk that get the value in accordance with KKM.Berarti than 50% of students' mathematics learning results are still below minimum completeness criteria (KKM), which has been determined by the school.The KKM has been determined by the school for mathematics ≥ 60, while the Indonesian language is ≥ 65
 Based on the identification and analysis of the above problems found many problems: 1) is giving task method can improve learning outcomes of mathematics to the subject of simple fractions in Class III SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in Academic Year 2015/2016? 2) Does the process skills approach can improve learning outcomes Indonesian Listen to the story on the subject of the third grade students of SDN 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic year 2015/2016?
 As subject in this Classroom Action research is a third grade students of SD Negeri 0 7Pinang SebatangKecamatan Tualang Siak in the academic year 201 5/201 6 with the total number of students 32 people consisting of 18 male students - male and 18 female students with ability to understand the different subjects.This study uses learning tools consisting of: syllabus, learning implementation plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKS), and further training.
 The conclusion that: 1) Application of the method of assignment in the learning process can improve the results of teaching and learning mathematics at third grade students of SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic Year 201 5/201 6, with the average results of students in cycle 1 reaches 63, 78 and in cycle 2 reaches 70.78. 2) Implementation other Method in the learning process can improve student Indonesian learning outcomes at third grade students in SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic year 2015/2016, with the average student learning outcomes in cycle 1 reached 64.06 and in cycle 2 reaches 71.71.

Process skills approach to develop primary students’ scientific literacy: A case study with low achieving students on water cycle

The results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) study on the scientific literacy of Indonesian students since the year 2000 have been still far below the international average score of 500. This could also be seen from the results of the science literacy test of 5th-grade students of primary school in Indonesia which showed that 60% of students are still at level ≤ 3 (value < 500). The students’ science literacy skills need to be improved by applying learning with a process skills approach. This study aims to describe the findings of classroom action research using a process skills approach to the science literacy level of primary students (n = 23). This research was conducted in 2 cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Students’ ability in scientific literacy was measured by using description and subjective tests of context domains, knowledge, competencies, and attitudes. In this study, researchers found an improvement in students’ science literacy skills when learning using a process skills approach. In addition, students’ scientific attitude is also more positive. In activities for learning science, students should be challenged as often as possible so that they have more practice using their scientific knowledge and skills to solve problems presented by teachers in the classroom.

DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGY LEARNING INSTRUCTIONAL TO INCREASE STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT AND SELF-DIRECTED BY SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS APPROACH

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;This research is aimed to develop biology learning materials in Junior High School for plants movement topic to increase students’ achievement and self-directed through Science Process Skill approach. This is development research refers to Kemp’s development model. The learning kit is taught in SMPN 1 Blega Bangkalan Madura for 28 students grade VIII employing science process skill approach. The research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest and data is analyzed with the qualitative descriptive method. This research reveals that the implementation of learning kit is 83%, dominant student’s activities in 1st and 2nd learning process are observing (22% - 24%), most of the students have positive responses which are indicated by 99% of students expressing their like, the result of students’ learning mastery satisfies the classical criteria for 86%, the rate of students self-directed varies from 55,56% to 83,32%. Penerapan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Pada Materi Getaran Dan Gelombang Terhadap Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika IKIP PGRI Pontianak

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the average student results given experimental class learning approach process skills; 2) the average student results given control class learning to use the conventional approach 3) whether there is a difference in student learning outcomes after a given learning approach and process skills using conventional approaches. This study design is quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques used is a measurement technique .. Based on data analysis that uses the learning process skills approach to the learning outcomes of students on the material vibrations and waves both categories. Thus the detailed conclusions are as follows; 1) average student results given experimental class learning with good process skills approach; 2) Average grade student results are given learning control using conventional approaches is sufficient; 3) There are significant differences anatara student results after a given learning approach and process skills given student learning using the conventional approach.

A Concept: Enhancing Biology Learning Quality by Using Process Image

Biology learning cannot be separated from visual activities which a part of process skill approach. Visual activities involve process and supported by images. Meanwhile, the images are something that can depute real objects and have the same character of colours and shape as the original. The process is a series activities which take place gradually and continuously to achieve a goal. As for 'process image' is the series of pictures which visualise a phenomenon or a natural fact, so that students can understand the concepts and theories of biology that deals with the pictures. This paper aimed to describe the role of 'process image' to enhance High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), retentions, process skills and learning achievements. The method of this research was analysed from some international journals about the effectiveness of process pictures in the Biology learning. Media of process image has many advantages in a visualisation of abstract concepts in the biology learning.
