Metaverses in higher education system for México

The Meta-verse in Higher Education in Mexico seeks to define, analyze, and identify how higher education institutions are facing Meta-verses. This study also suggests a thorough evaluation of the scientific literature, including recent studies from numerous specialized databases on the Metaverse in higher education. An exploratory systematic literature review study of an educational phenomena was conducted using the methodological design. where the findings of different research are content analyzed. The research findings suggest that Mexican higher education institutions are progressively incorporating a variety of pedagogical methods, such as content digitization, online learning platforms, augmented reality, lifelogging, mirror world, and virtual reality. Nevertheless, opportunities and challenges are noted. The first includes opposition to change, increased spending on digital skills, technology infrastructure, and global vision; the second includes learning personalization, interinstitutional cooperation, virtual reality, and mirror worlds. Finally, the study offers a useful framework for further investigation to direct choices on educational technology.

Analysis of Metaverses Structure and Characteristics

Statement of the problem: The fundamental changes currently taking place in the development of networks and communication systems are concentrated in the concept of creating metaverses. Despite the fact that this concept appeared within the framework of the International Telecommunication Union only in 2023, research in this area already occupies the first line in scientific publications on networks and communication systems. In the Russian Federation, this area of investigation is currently not given the required attention. The goal of the paper is to analyze the documents of the Telecommunication Standardization Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) and determine the structure and characteristics of metaverses based on the results of the ITU-T focus group on metaverses. The method used is systems analysis. Result: definition, structure, including virtual and mirror worlds, characteristics of metaverses. Novelty: The conducted analysis allowed us to define the concept of the metaverse and its constituent worlds: virtual world and mirror world, as well as an important feature of metaverses such as logging, which is a log of the life of users and objects. These results allow us to accurately determine the vector of further research. Theoretical/Practical significance: a fundamental definition of metaverses, their structure and characteristics are obtained. From a practical point of view, the results obtained make it possible to begin a set of scientific investigations on metaverses on conceptual and systemic basis that meets international standards.

The importance of current megatrends and trends in the opinion of X and Z generations

Contemporary changes in the world can be described by looking for similarities in phenomena occurring in different places. Currently, such megatrends include, among others: Demographic Shifts, Multipolarization of the World, Symbiocene, Bioera, and Mirror World. They are strongly related to technological progress, digitalization, and changes in societies. The aim of this article is to answer the question of whether the development trends are perceived as equally important by representatives of generations X and Z. Their attitude will be related to the willingness to accept the anticipated and already occurring changes. The research was conducted in 2023 on a sample of 500 people from generations X and Z. It was found that regardless of their generation, the respondents considered all megatrends current and important. They rated the importance of the Mirror World megatrend as the lowest, which means they are skeptical about the rapid domination of relationships by those taking place mainly on the Internet. The trends perceived as important included Mental Well-Being, Loneliness, Depopulation, and Roboticized Life, while the following were considered less important: Deglobalization, Medicine Resistance, Nation-State Collapse, and Identity Nomads. By comparing the assessments of trends by the representatives of the X and Z generations, it was found that the importance of each of the examined trends was assessed higher by younger people from Generation Z. For the most current trends, the differences in the assessments are statistically significant.

Meta: XR-AR-MR and Mirror World Technologies Business Impact of Metaverse

Metaverse offers opportunities for companies to create innovative business models by providing a virtual platform where they can sell products and services and interact with customers in new and unique ways. Extended Reality (XR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) and Mirror World technologies are important technological pathways for the metaverse. The metaverse concept is changing organizational structures with new opportunities and shaping the workforce for the future environment. The purpose of this review article is to discuss the concept of metanomics, the business implications of the metaverse in the context of the economy, business and employee-based value, future workforce, B2B opportunities and new business models. The concept of metaptation was associated with the metaverse in later studies to be conceptualized within the framework of adaptation theory. This review concludes by asserting that as the metaverse continues to evolve, driven by advancements in XR, AR, MR, and Mirror World technologies, it will not only revolutionize traditional business models but also necessitate a new paradigm of metaptation, where businesses must continuously adapt to harness the full potential of the metaverse in the realms of economic growth, innovative B2B opportunities, workforce development, and customer engagement. In order to be successful in this dynamic change process, businesses should adopt a strategic approach to adopting these innovative technologies. These strategic steps of businesses will contribute to gaining competitive advantage by enabling them to make the most of the commercial potential of the Metaverse.

Metaverse: a new reality in surgery. Review

The metaverse is a relatively new concept in technological advancement. It is a three-dimensional immersive environment including real and virtual world elements, in which various digital agents, more precisely, avatars, interact with each other and various activities (educational, cultural, and financial) can be carried out. It is an emerging controversial concept without precise definition and will likely continue to evolve as technology improves. Works of literature from 2020 to 2023, posted in the PubMed and Web of Science databases, were extracted using the following keywords: “metaverse”, “education”, “digital therapy”, “interdisciplinary consultation”, “medical Internet of things”, “virtual reality”, “superimposed reality”, “extended reality”, “mixed reality”, “lifelogging”, “mirror world”, “digital twins”, and “surgery”. In the PubMed search using the original terms, no publications were extracted in 2020, 9 in 2021, 161 in 2022, and 246 in 2023. In the healthcare context, metaverse technology refers to the use of virtual reality and interactive and other immersive technologies, such as augmented reality, to create simulated environments intended for training, education, and clinical applications. Various aspects of medicine such as digital therapeutics, multidisciplinary team discussions, medical Internet of things, surgical simulations, conferences and meetings, research programs, etc., are being explored. Depending on the requirements, the metaverse provides a versatile platform that can be modeled accordingly, providing a flexible tool for medical development. In this review, we discussed in detail the possible applications of the metaverse in surgery. All scoping rubrics are based on the sparse evidence in the scientific literature and are adequately evaluated to provide compelling evidence on the utility of the metaverse in the future of medicine.

Dark Matter and Mirror World.

Overwhelming astronomical evidence for dark matter and absence of any laboratory evidence for it despite many dedicated searches have fueled speculation that dark matter may reside in a parallel universe interacting with the familiar universe only via gravitational interactions as well as possibly via some ultra-weak forces. In this scenario, we postulate that the visible universe co-exists with a mirror world consisting of an identical duplicate of forces and matter of our world, obeying a mirror symmetry. This picture, motivated by particle physics considerations, not only provides a natural candidate for dark matter but also has the potential to explain the matter dark matter coincidence problem, i.e., why the dark matter content of the universe is only a few times the visible matter content. One requirement for mirror models is that the mirror world must be colder than our world to maintain the success of big bang nucleosynthesis. After a review of the basic features of the model, we present several new results: first is that the consistency between the coldness of the mirror world and the explanation of the matter dark matter coincidence implies an upper bound on the inflation reheat temperature of the universe to be around 106.5 GeV. We also argue that the coldness implies the mirror world consists mainly of mirror Helium and very little mirror hydrogen, which is the exact opposite of what we see in the visible world.

A heavy QCD axion and the mirror world

We study the mirror world with dark matter arising from the thermal freeze-out of the lightest, stable mirror particle — the mirror electron. The dark matter abundance is achieved for mirror electrons of mass 225 GeV, fixing the mirror electroweak scale near 108 GeV. This highly predictive scenario is realized by an axion that acts as a portal between the two sectors through its coupling to the QCD and mirror QCD sectors. The axion is more massive than the standard QCD axion due to additional contributions from mirror strong dynamics. Still, the strong CP problem is solved by this ‘heavy’ axion due to the alignment of the QCD and mirror QCD potentials. Mirror entropy is transferred into the Standard Model sector via the axion portal, which alleviates overproduction of dark radiation from mirror glueball decays. This mirror scenario has a variety of signals: (1) primordial gravitational waves from the first-order mirror QCD phase transition occurring at a temperature near 35 GeV, (2) effects on large-scale structure from dark matter self-interactions from mirror QED, (3) dark radiation affecting the cosmic microwave background, and (4) the rare kaon decay, K+ → (π+ + axion). The first two signals do not depend on any fundamental free parameters of the theory while the latter two depend on a single free parameter, the axion decay constant.

Neutrinos, dark matter and Higgs vacua in parity solutions of the strong CP problem

The strong CP problem can be solved if the laws of nature are invariant under a space-time parity exchanging the Standard Model with its mirror copy. We review and extend different realizations of this idea with the aim of discussing Dark Matter, neutrino physics, leptogenesis and collider physics within the same context. In the minimal realization of ref. [1] the mirror world contains a massless dark photon, which leads to a rather interesting cosmology. Mirror electrons reproduce the dark matter abundance for masses between 500–1000 GeV with traces of strongly interacting dark matter. This scenario also predicts deviations from cold dark matter, sizable ∆Neff and colored states in the TeV range that will be tested in a variety of upcoming experiments. We also explore scenarios where the mirror photon is massive and the mirror particles are charged under ordinary electromagnetism with very different phenomenology. We also show that, for the measured values of the SM parameters, the Higgs effective potential can give rise to a second minimum at large field value as required to break spontaneously the parity symmetry.

Objectives This study identifies trends in overall studies related to educational interventions based on metaverse and AI, and analyzes the literature of previous studies on who, what platform, and in which areas educational use was made in general education and special education. Through this, trends and characteristics were analyzed.
 Methods The literature was selected by the PRISMA method, and the analysis tools of author, year, research title, education field, area, research method, and variable were used. The collected data were re-categorized by continuously extracting and organizing classifications through discussions with the research group. The subject areas was recategorized into architecture, engineering, science, liberal arts, cross-curricular learning, health care, mathematics, practical subjects, language, history, art, convergence talent education, physical education and mixed, and the research method platform was recategorized into mirror world, augmented reality, lifelogging, virtual world, AI, and mixed. the data were expressed in terms of frequency and percentage.
 Results Studies on educational intervention using metaverse and AI is rapidly increasing since 2017, and is being actively conducted in the field of general education. In addition, research on AI and virtual worlds has been actively conducted recently. In general education and special education, experience-centered education using the mirror world is prioritized, but in general education, fostering future talent and in special education, improvement of the subject's function is given priority. Also, slightly different results were found in the use of the platform, the subject of study applied, and the area of education used.
 Conclusions In each field of education, it was seen that the distribution of the subject area increases depending on who has what purpose of education, and at the same time, what kind of platform is used for effective teaching within the subject area is determined. This discussion and implications were presented.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest methods of activating the general public’s music education by utilizing metaverse. To achieve the purpose and complete the research, this paper referred to the previous papers and related data to examine the theoretical backgrounds, problems, and suggest improvement measures. Music education plays an important role for increasing the students’ academic performance as well as their creativity and social skills. It also improves human emotions. However, music education involves noise and time-space limitations. So, music education needs a new method. To solve this problem, this paper suggests on utilizing the virtual world, augmented reality, mirror world, and lifelogging that compose the metaverse. The metaverse-based music education overcomes time-space limitations, provides high-quality education at lower cost, and holds potential for effectiveness.

The Potential of Metaverse Technology in Education as a Transformation of Learning Media in Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the potential of metaverse technology in education to transform learning media in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The type of research utilized library search. The secondary data comprised scientific papers indexed by Scopus and Sinta. The data analysis technique used in this research was thematic analysis. The results indicated that the technological metaverse perspective in education could present the best digital technology to support education in Indonesia. Implementing the metaverse in interactive learning media in Indonesia is divided into four types of simulation: lifelong, mirror world, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). Opportunities within the metaverse as learning media in education include immersive interactive experiences, visualization, more economical risks and costs, unlimited space, and time, preventing academic violations, personalization, and promoting communication. Meanwhile, the possible challenges that will be faced are in the form of no boundaries for people involved in being lazy to move and other forms of neutral interaction.

The Mirror World: Being as Nothingness

The question of whether the perceived world is a mere illusion has been a key area of interest to both essentialism and existentialism. Plato, the essentialist, argues that there is an objective reality transcendent to that which we perceive. Lacan, similarly, proposed that there exists a totality of reality in the human psyche, open to neo-natal children who have not yet entered the external world through language. In this paper, I argue that Lacan had taken a different route to Plato via his portrayal of the Real, that is, the original state of the world before it is rendered inaccessible by the egos entrance into the perceived reality, or the Mirror World. Elusive of being formulated by the signs of the perceived reality, or the Imaginary-Symbolic order, it is but a nothingness without concrete being. What exists is what is accepted as a part of the linguistic and epistemological conventions of the external world, and the perceived reality a mere Mirror Reflection of the psychic and social symbols and is thus illusory. The Ego, likewise, is argued to be contingent and imaginary, born out of its misidentification with ones mirror image that one sees in the external world.

Exploring the Use of the Metaverse in Liberal Arts Education

The purpose of this study is to investigate the educational applications of the metaverse and to gather empirical data on its uses. The metaverse encompasses various types applications, such as augmented reality, life logging, a mirror world, and a virtual world. Many universities have already incorporated or are planning to introduce the metaverse into their curricula or non-curricular events. In conclusion, metaverse literacy is becoming increasingly important in liberal arts education, and in order for instructors to effectively use these tools in their classes, it is necessary for them to employ a variety of platforms as motivational tools.

The main assumptions of the mirror world were presented in this paper, with particular emphasis on the sports environment and the Zwift application as a mixed reality platform. The service was characterised and an analysis of the impressions and experiences of users - people practising cycling in the real and virtual world - was carried out. The method of source analysis as well as a diagnostic survey in the form of an in-depth interview and a questionnaire were applied. The research shows that users, regardless of their sport’s goal and skill, meet their needs as a result of using the application and highly evaluate the level of immersion, interactiveness and virtuality. Supporting and extending traditional training, saving time and diversifying exercise with options not available in the real world are the most common reasons for using the application. The functionalities reflecting traditional cycling in the digital world are assessed at a good and very good level. Among the biggest flaws of the application are user fraud and cyber errors. The analysis of research and literature on the subject leads to the conclusion that the merging of the real and virtual worlds will increase, which will ultimately lead to the creation of a mirror world.

Sustainability is more important than anything else in tourism in the new normal era. And the virtual space of Metaverse is receiving a lot of attention in reality. Metaverse has become an indispensable keyword in all aspects of society, economy, and culture in the New Normal era. In particular, tourism is appearing in various forms by reflecting new perspectives such as ‘untact tourism’, ‘small tourism’, and ‘daily tourism’ due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And along with Metaverse, it is shifting to the tourism paradigm of the New Normal era. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify which specific topics related to Metaverse tourism are becoming issues and what characteristics they have through big data analysis of Metaverse tourism. First, in order to identify trends in Metaverse tourism, we apply the definitions of the four categories defined in the Metabus Roadmap Discourse: key words such as ‘augmented reality’, ‘life-logging’, ‘mirror world’, ‘virtual world’, ‘virtual world Metaverse’, ‘tourism’, and ‘travel’ were set.The data collection period was set for about one year from January 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022, and the TEXTOM 6.0 program, a big data integrated processing solution, was used. The collected data analysis utilized text-mining and semantic network analysis. In addition, simple frequency analysis, N-gram analysis, word cloud and ego-network visualization, and CONCOR analysis were conducted. Finally, it was clustered into four categories: 'Activating Travel and Tourism Experience Events', 'Metaverse Space Virtual Activities', 'Technology-based Future Tourism Platform', and 'Tourist City Content Service'. Based on this, users' needs for Metaverse tourism in the New Normal era were understood and theoretical and practical implications were provided to the Metaverse tourism industry.

Mirror dark sector solution of the Hubble tension with time-varying fine-structure constant

We explore a model introduced by Cyr-Racine, Ge, and Knox (arXiv:2107.13000(2)) that resolves the Hubble tension by invoking a ``mirror world" dark sector with energy density a fixed fraction of the ``ordinary" sector of Lambda-CDM. Although it reconciles cosmic microwave background and large-scale structure observations with local measurements of the Hubble constant, the model requires a value of the primordial Helium mass fraction that is discrepant with observations and with the predictions of Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN). We consider a variant of the model with standard Helium mass fraction but with the value of the electromagnetic fine-structure constant slightly different during photon decoupling from its present value. If $\alpha$ at that epoch is lower than its current value by $\Delta \alpha \simeq -2\times 10^{-5}$, then we can achieve the same Hubble tension resolution as in Cyr-Racine, et al. but with consistent Helium abundance. As an example of such time-evolution, we consider a toy model of an ultra-light scalar field, with mass $m <4\times 10^{-29}$ eV, coupled to electromagnetism, which evolves after photon decoupling and that appears to be consistent with late-time constraints on $\alpha$ variation and the weak equivalence principle.

In this paper, the impact of core mass on the compact/neutron-star mass-radius relation is studied. Besides the mass, the core is parameterized by its radius and surface pressure, which supports the outside one-component Standard Model (SM) matter. The core may accommodate SM matter with unspecified (or poorly known) equation-of-state or several components, e.g., consisting of admixtures of Dark Matter and/or Mirror World matter etc. beyond the SM. Thus, the admissible range of masses and radii of compact stars can be considerably extended.
