Decomposition of strategic goals and objectives of the Samara region dental

Aim to carry out a scientifically based decomposition of the strategic goals and objectives of the dental service of the Samara region, to determine the necessary basic transformations and opportunities for standardization of the industry model of the separation of powers and responsibilities at various hierarchical levels of management.
 Material and methods. When preparing the article, the conceptual provisions of the National Project, Federal projects, materials of reports on the activities of the dental service of the Samara region in the period 2020 2022 were used. The decomposition was carried out using the main tools of strategic, programtarget and process management; requirements of TQM and PDCA; principles of management by goals, building a balanced system of indicators and key performance indicators.
 Results. The practical task of decomposition of strategic goals and objectives of the development of the dental service of the Samara region has been solved, taking into account the strategic goals of the healthcare of the Russian Federation, a multidimensional decomposition of strategic goals and objectives of the dental service of the region has been carried out; a list of necessary basic transformations with the separation of powers and responsibilities has been determined.

Improving the reliability of power distribution substations equipment for life extension by considering Condition Based Maintenance

Maintenance of aged power equipment is a proven technique for establishing systems reliability and longevity. It is extensively relevant when combined with Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) approaches for predicting power system infrastructure life, especially with imminent obsolescence. The research focuses on distribution companies with mixed aged power infrastructure, which continuously degradate. A significant setback in older systems is the scarcity of replacement parts leading to unplanned investment in substantial infrastructure due to unexpected failed components that are no longer in production. To guarantee excellent infrastructure health in older equipment, utility companies should consider applying Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to stabilize older equipment and restore malfunctioning assets. Studies have shown that the life span of older equipment can be extended when adequate maintenance strategies are put in place through the prediction of possible failures using equipment inspections and risk matrix. CBM's strategy improved the Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) has improved by lowering the average monthly customers power interruptions by 19,15 % lesser time spent without electricity. The System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) was improved by lowering the average monthly power interruptions frequency by 20,63% lesser outage frequency. The Distribution Supply Loss Index (DSLI) was improved by dropping the average monthly power losses by 7,5% power losses saved. The Customers Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI) was improved by lowering the average customer interruption by 36.1% improvement from the average period before the CBM optimization. The Average System Availability Index (ASAI) was improved by shortening the average annual interruption durations by 1,36%. The ASUI was improved by increasing the average duration of electrical power availability by 1.28%. The optimization of CBM was measured over 24 moths period.

Airlines are required to not only adapt to shifting market conditions and technological improvements, but also to rethink and construct their own corporate culture in order to stay up with the current stage of growth in the aviation industry, which is facing significant upheavals. This is vital in order for airlines to be able to keep up with the current stage of development. In addition to the pandemics-specific challenges that were brought on by COVID-19, and the war in Ukraine, the concurrent socioeconomic crisis brought about an additional focus that was of utmost significance. In order to determine the influence that the pandemic of the coronavirus disease and the war have had on the management of the corporate culture of airlines, the goal of this essay is to investigate the impact. The aim of this paper is to analyze the ways in which corporate culture influences many aspects of airline operations. These aspects include the internal interaction and motivation of employees, as well as the outward image and communications with consumers. Tools for managing airline corporate culture during a crisis include communication platforms, psychological support programs, skills training, leadership development initiatives, and airline employee opinion and feedback tools. These tools help airlines adapt to change during a crisis, maintain a healthy corporate culture, and support their employees. Setting clear goals and regular monitoring of performance indicators are important for timely adaptation of corporate culture management strategies. It is appropriate to use the KPI system of airlines for the development of corporate culture in the conditions of modern challenges. The KPI system is offered as follows: KPI 1: Level of employee engagement; KPI 2: Reducing the level of stress among employees; KPI 3: Level of training and development of employees; KPI 4: Improvement of leadership skills in management; KPI 5: Improvement of corporate culture based on feedback. There is a possibility that the study will be useful to academic scholars, analysts, and businesses. Potential route for further exploration, regarding the development of corporate culture in the face of both exogenous and endogenous unpredictability, is the digitization of the key performance indicator system that is adopted by airlines.

Creating environmental performance indicators to assess corporate sustainability and reward employees

Assessing environmental performance, measuring the circular economy and quantifying decarbonization have become crucial in green management in recent years. Both scholars and practitioners have focused on different strategies to create performance indicators capable of tackling all these aspects. At the same time, companies have started connecting managers’ and employees’ incentives to the achievement of corporate goals. We analysed a case study of an Italian food company which uses environmental performance indicators to assess corporate sustainability and reward managers and employees. Through a series of interviews with members from all departments, we identified around 200 different key performance indicators, i.e., performance, commitment, control, reactivity, economic, consent, transversal and multifunctional. A final dashboard of around 70 indicators was then created and linked to employees’ rewards. A tailor-made methodology was, thus, used to define target for the company’s management by objectives, taking into account the trend of each indicator. This is the first attempt to investigate how a company can create an environmental performance indicator system to assess corporate sustainability and reward employees through management by objectives. Our study further extends not only the academic literature, but also provides a practical and operative contribution to all the companies that aim to create a new key performance indicator system. Lastly, we merged the management and strategies for promoting green practices amongst employees through a reward system with the environmental performance of each organisational department by creating a methodology to define management by objectives.

Evaluating the digitalization capability and display of KPIs for two fertilizer plants of Petrovietnam

The study partially funded by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) assesses the infrastructure, OT/IT systems, and data handling at two fertilizer plants. Although well-equipped with automation control technology, the plants lack seamless integration, connectivity, and encounter limitations in communication between systems. To address these issues, the study advocates for the integration of digital technology, emphasizing its potential for enhancing efficiency, facilitating optimal management, and guiding strategic direction. Following an assessment of infrastructure, key performance indicator (KPI) system requirements, and data management, the study proposes an initial application of digital technology to link KPI displays. The outlined scope, initial costs, investment phases, and implementation schedule indicate a total initial investment of around VND 37 - 39 billion, accompanied by annual maintenance costs ranging from VND 3.7 to 4.1 billion. Expected economic and social benefits involve improved management at both Petrovietnam and plant levels through the KPI system, with an estimated energy cost savings of 1%, equivalent to roughly VND 44.6 billion. The project aims to position the fertilizer plants and Petrovietnam as leaders in technology, contributing to sustainability and enhancing their global industry reputation.

Development of a system of key performance indicators in the management system of aviation training complex

The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that Air Training Complexes (ATC) are systems of many interconnected business processes, where the violation of one of the processes can hinder the achievement of the company's goals. Modern approaches to managing the commercial activities of companies define key performance indicators (KPIs) as a system of indicators that assess the degree of achievement of certain business objectives. Our study of the commercial activity of AZAL "Flight Training Centre" shows that the system of key performance indicators is not used to assess the effectiveness of commercial activity, although the sphere of ATC services requires increased attention to the construction of effective management with the possibility of assessing the results. In addition, the authors propose the use of Dupond's analysis as a tool for comprehensive assessment of the efficiency of the commercial activity of the ATC in order to identify the weaknesses of the ATC and timely development of measures to improve and increase the efficiency of its commercial activity. The purpose of this study is to develop a system of KPI indicators for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the management of the commercial activities of aviation training complexes, taking into account the specifics of the airline and the main areas of activity, using the tools of strategic management and marketing. Research methods - in the process of research the authors used both empirical and theoretical research methods, qualitative methods of interpretation and explanation of the characteristics of the studied economic object, methods of system analysis and decomposition. Significance of the study - the theoretical and practical results obtained can be used by ATC management as a tool for assessing and improving the efficiency of business activities. Results of the research - as a result of the research conducted on the basis of the analysis of the commercial activity of AZAL "Flight Training Centre" ATC, a system of key performance indicators of commercial activity in the following main areas has been developed: financial, production, customer relations and development indicators.

Company management based on key performance indicators: Industry overview

Key performance indicators (KPIs) act as a specific indicator of productivity, and reflect the degree of implementation of goals and objectives that have been set for specific employees, departments, or the organization as a whole. There are different key performance indicators depending on the scope of the organization. In any case, as a rule, indicators are divided into different groups to optimize the process of developing an organization’s strategic plan. For organizations, depending on the field of activity, the main KPIs and industry performance indicators are identified, the use of which is designed to increase the efficiency of activities, increase profits and motivation of employees. An important point in optimizing the company’s activities is the formation of an understanding among employees that the achievement of their goals depends on the achievement of the goals of the organization as a whole, since payments of additional financial incentives are made from the profit of the organization. Thus, KPI acts not only as a motivation system for employees, but also reflects the degree of achievement of goals by the business as a whole. Using the example of the gold mining industry, construction, transport and a number of other sectors of the national economy, the main key performance indicators are determined. It is concluded that in addition to the industry specifics, it is very important to take into account the specifics of a particular company when forming a KPI system.

IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGY OF COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF ENTERPRISE FINANCIAL CONDITION: CALCULATION OF THE INTEGRAL INDICATOR

The article explores the theoretical aspects of a comprehensive enterprise financial condition assessment and the possibilities of its practical application and substantiates the sequence of stages of calculation and analytical procedures that can provide a stable foundation for the economic development of an enterprise. The purpose of the article is to improve the methodology of a comprehensive assessment of the financial condition of an enterprise and its practical aspects.The term "financial condition of an enterprise" is considered in the context of the need to assess it in order to counteract financial problems and prevent crisis phenomena. The article proposes the use of a system of key performance indicators, proves the importance of an integrated approach to assessing the financial condition of an enterprise and describes the key requirements for choosing the optimal system of indicators.The study has allowed the formulation of a generalized approach to a comprehensive assessment of the financial condition of an enterprise. The article proposes the introduction and use of an integral indicator, defines criteria of assessment of results and equality, observance of which by an enterprise is able to maintain its condition at the proper level and to provide a foundation for expanded reproduction, which, as a result of efficient functioning of economic entities, will contribute to the development of the economy.

Innovative instruments for increasing the efficiency of human resources management of IT-companies

The mechanism of improving the efficiency of human resources management at IT-companies updates the implementation of innovative management tools in the processes of hiring, developing, and evaluating their employees. The goal of the work is to deepen the theoretical and conceptual foundations of the effectiveness of HR management at IT-companies in the social and labor context and to develop scientific and applied recommendations regarding the mechanism of its enhancement in the conditions of formation of a new economy. Measures outlined in the paper to apply the competency approach, to introduce the talent management algorithm on a systematic basis, and to develop the system of key performance indicators should be considered as a component of scientific and practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of human resources management in IT enterprises in the social and labor dimension. In order to improve the efficiency of human resources management at IT enterprises, it is necessary to develop and introduce a perfect mechanism as a systemic integrity of economic, social, and organizational processes of creating preconditions for innovative development of the enterprise as a benefit for the employer and decent work as a benefit for the employees. The scientific platform of the theoretical and applied construct of such a mechanism should be the managerial paradigm of harmonization of social and labor relations, and its internal architectonics should be formed in compliance with the values of corporate social responsibility and contain innovative tools in the format of the goals and results management system in contrast to the functions management system. On the basis of understanding of the essence and regulatory consolidation of competencies as the ability of a person to perform a certain type of activity, the model of functional and behavioral competencies of the IT project manager is developed, the trajectory of development of talents in the field of computer programming is given, the methodological basis of construction and the algorithm of development of the key system are developed and performance indicators are implemented.

This study focuses on analyzing employee performance at BPR Kawan Malang, by considering Key Performance Indicator (KPI), financial compensation, and reward system factors. Employee performance is the result of the effort and energy they put into work. To improve and maintain this performance, productivity assessment is carried out through appropriate indicators, using KPIs. In addition to KPIs, financial compensation and reward systems also have a significant impact on performance. Compensation, as a form of reward, includes a wide range of benefits for employees and the organization. This process of reward distribution has an important role in encouraging good performance. This study aims to analyze the impact of KPIs, financial compensation, and reward systems on employee performance at BPR Kawan. Performance appraisal involves evaluating the extent to which employees meet established standards and communicating that information to employees. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The method used is a quantitative approach with a sample of 33 employees of BPR Kawan Malang, selected through total sampling. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed that KPIs have a significant influence on employee performance, as well as compensation and reward systems with a value of 0.000 sig each; 0,008; 0.000 < 0.05. This conclusion underscores the importance of these elements in stimulating and maintaining superior performance. This research reveals that KPIs, financial compensation, and reward systems play an important role in shaping a work environment that encourages high performance at BPR Kawan Malang.

Improve Employee Key Performance Indicator through Establishment of High Performing Team Model (Case Study: TNP)

TNP, a company in cargo transportation and logistics, is grappling with challenges such as high employee turnover and struggles to meet performance goals, both on an individual and team level. The company’s turnover rate exceeds its target, and the overall Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement by High-Level Management remains below the company’s standard of 80%. This study aims to improve the situation by analysing the current KPI framework. High turnover disrupts operations and suggests employee satisfaction problems, while inconsistent KPI achievement indicates operational inefficiencies. The study utilizes various methods, including interviews with High-Level Management, questionnaires for employees, and analysis of historical performance data. The analysis includes external and internal evaluations, leading to a SWOT analysis, which contributes to the research findings. These findings highlight several areas for enhancement. Proposed solutions involve implementing a High-Performing Team (HPT) model, drawing inspiration from Wageman and Hackman models. This model thrives on collaboration, utilizing collective skills to surpass individual contributions. It emphasizes open communication, knowledge sharing, and complementary skills to address turnover and improve KPI achievement. The study’s significance lies in its potential to guide TNP’s transformation. Through refining the KPI system and addressing underlying concerns, the study aims to provide actionable recommendations. Ultimately, the study suggests that adopting a high-performing team model could bridge existing gaps. By fostering a collaborative culture and implementing team coaching, the company could potentially revolutionize its cargo transportation and logistics services while also improving employee retention.

The article examines the main features of the creation and implementation of the system of key performance indicators in enterprises that are part of large retail trade networks. Priority problems of their application in the daily activities of the stores are identified. A generalized classification of indicators is given, their most common types used in the field of trade are characterized: conversion, sales plan, average receipt, average number of units in the receipt, hourly efficiency coefficient, percentage of return, customer satisfaction. Based on the spe-cifics of retail trade as a field of activity, the possibilities of evaluating the most important indicator of efficiency – customer loyalty for various categories of customers are shown. The analysis of the personnel structure of one of the trading enterprises is carried out. Considered the system of bonuses for categories of different em-ployees. Formed a system to assess the index of customer happiness and gave a scheme for its calculation, which is weighted by importance the sum of the main estimates of satisfaction. The dependence of the bonus coefficient of various categories of employees on the value of the customer happiness index for different cate-gories of employees is shown. Proposals for improving the use of key performance indicators to stimulate em-ployees of retailers have been developed.

Integrated River Basin Management for Sustainable Development: Time for Stronger Action

Malaysia has numerous policies, institutions, and experts with foresight and vision for its development. Nevertheless, river basin management has been lacking due to several factors such as insufficient proactive leadership roles of institutions, as well as locally authorized bodies. Reviewing of stakeholders’ role in the PENTA-HELIX partnership model (i.e., government, business, academia, community, and NGO) reveals that individuals and institutions with proactive and effective leadership roles along with top-down and bottom-up approaches can create a more strategic policy implementation resulting in better outcomes in river basin management. Local authorities with proactive leadership roles should be encouraged to use a creative and innovative key performance indicator system accompanied by mentoring and training, as well as education, to inspire a passive to active attitude change. A local authority with sound leadership roles can develop proper partnerships with its many stakeholders to improve awareness with more multitasking activities. These can be achieved by motivating all the related stakeholders towards more commitment to creating a sustainable environment. Identifying and recognizing local authorities to manage the rivers will result in more powerful actions in river management. It is essential to ensure quality control and quality assurance at various levels to bring sustainability science at the multi-stakeholders’ platforms towards an integrated river basin management to achieve a better living quality for everyone.

MANAGING THE PROMOTION OF THE COMPANY`S INNOVATION POLICY: KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) METHODOLOGY

The article defines and reveals the problematic issues of the theory of development of methodological tools for managing the implementation of innovation policy of the organisation. The expediency and necessity of application of key performance indicators (KPI) as a relevant tool for assessing the effectiveness of management of innovation policy implementation of organisations is substantiated. Methodological approaches to the formation of a system of key performance indicators that provide a systematic approach to a comprehensive and integrated assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of innovation policy implementation on the basis of the proposed methodology of building a "tree of KPI objectives" are proposed; methodological approaches to their application as target, as well as intermediate criteria and indicators of the effectiveness of innovation policy implementation are proposed.

ACCOUNTING AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT OF BUSINESS PROCESSES IN CONDITIONS OF ECONOMIC INSTABILITY: KEY ASPECTS

The instability of the business environment at the current stage causes significant challenges for all groups of stakeholders, in particular, business. In this context, a special problem arises in the field of ensuring the adequate functioning of companies in conditions of significant exogenous and endogenous challenges. The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the accounting and analytical base of the management of the company's operational processes in the conditions of growing economic instability at the micro- and macro-level from the point of view of the functioning of the corporate sector. The article examines the essence of accounting and analytical support of the company's business processes in the light of growing changes in the business environment. The key role of an informed and transparent methodical approach to business management in terms of business processes is defined. The main trends in the development of accounting and analytical support for business processes in the conditions of growing volatility in the working environment of companies focused on increasing operational efficiency and business profitability are considered. The rapid forecast development of the market of solutions for accounting and analytical support of business processes in the world was noted. In the framework of strengthening the information and analytical support of business processes, a toolkit in the format of a system of key performance indicators (KPI) is proposed. A KPI system was formed from 7 indicators of operational and strategic direction, designed to strengthen the effectiveness of business process changes from the point of view of their analytical basis. A promising direction of research in this field is the analysis of the context of digitalization (blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence) from the point of view of the development of accounting and analytical support for business processes.

Evaluating key performance indicators of the process of care in juvenile idiopathic arthritis

ObjectiveTo determine whether and how often the information to measure a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is found in data collected routinely in a Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic.MethodsA retrospective electronic chart review and administrative data analysis was conducted for a cohort of 140 patients with JIA at a tertiary Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic between 2016–2020. The set of KPIs include measuring patient outcomes (joint assessment, physician’s global assessment of disease activity, assessment of functional ability, composite disease activity measurement), access to care (waiting time between referral and first visit, visit with the rheumatologist within the first year of diagnosis, annual follow-up visits with the rheumatologist), and safety (tuberculosis screening, and laboratory monitoring). Documentation was assessed as a binary variable indicating whether the required information was ever found. Documentation frequency for each KPI was assessed with counts and percentages of the number of times the required information was documented for each clinic visit. Compliance with the safety KPI definitions was assessed using administrative databases.ResultsData for each KPI were found at least once in the cohort and documentation varied in frequency and consistency. Access to care and safety KPIs were documented more frequently than patient outcome KPIs. A joint assessment was documented at every visit for 95% of patients, 46% for an assessment of pain, and none for a physician’s global assessment of disease activity, an assessment of functional ability, or a composite disease activity measurement.ConclusionAlthough feasible to measure, there is an opportunity for improving the consistency of documentation. Having an active system of monitoring KPIs and tools to simplify measurement is a key step in the process toward improved patient care outcomes. Streamlining the collection of KPI data can increase the likelihood of compliance. Next steps should involve replicating this study in various centres.

DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE ECOSYSTEM OF UKRAINE AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL

The article explores the theoretical and methodological aspects of the main idea of the formation of an innovation ecosystem at the national level, which consists in close cooperation and unification of the efforts of the participants in the innovation process on mutually beneficial terms of partnership, resources and competencies in building up the country’s innovative potential. It has been established that the innovation ecosystem at the national level is a synergistic partnership and collaboration of science, education and business as an institutionally coordinated mechanism of relationships from the generation and transfer of knowledge to the commercialization of innovations, that is, the entire innovation cycle of neo-industrial development of the national economy of Ukraine, its restoration in the European integration space. It is substantiated that the innovation ecosystem as a type of ecosystems in the economy allows cooperating efforts to create and promote innovations on the market. The concept of an innovation ecosystem gives a much better idea of the nature of innovation processes taking place in modern realities than the traditional systems approach. The main problems and obstacles to the development and implementation of the innovation ecosystem of Ukraine at the national level are outlined. Speaking about the fact that it is higher scientific institutions (universities) of education that should become generators of progressive structural changes in the economy and take the main place in the innovation ecosystem, the article considers the progressive experience of new types of universities. That is why it is proposed to single out the main instruments of these changes: 1) identification of target markets and segments; 2) building a system of client-centric key performance indicators; 3) optimization of the structure and partnership activities of scientific and higher educational institutions.

The requirements for the transportation process management are formulated taking into account modern world standards. The necessity of using the system of balanced indicators and key performance indicators to justify and achieve the target results of railway transport units is shown. The measures allowing to adapt the considered methodologies to peculiarities of JSC «Russian Railways» functioning and introduce these methodologies into a single network technological process of railway transportation are proposed. The necessity of updating and improving the system of key performance indicators operating in JSC «Russian Railways» and bringing it in line with modern technologies for the transportation process management is substantiated.

The article defines the methodology of process control based on key performance indicators (KPI) in the business environment and its importance for the management of manufacturing facilities. The important aspects of the implementation of the system for measuring the efficiency of manufacturing and related to manufacturing areas of enterprises are described. It is noted that such control will contribute to timely response to threats of reduced production efficiency and further adjustment of the development strategy. The main goal of the article is the selection and justification of those indicators that are relevant for modern production and allow to assess its effectiveness. The authors substantiated that the process control method based on KPI is one of the most common methods of managing business units. Which involves finding and implementing a system of key performance indicators for most important elements of the manufacturing process. The details of some basic KPIs and their interdependence are described in the article. The main focus of authors is on the selection of appropriate KPIs and their impact on the goals achievement. Authors stating, that for the successful implementation of KPE, key factors are simplicity, comprehensibility and transparency for employees responsible for achieving of defined metrics. Equally important are the methods of evaluating the performance of related or supporting functions of the enterprise (personnel department, building maintenance service, information technology department, etc.). The authors emphasize the important criteria of the KPE system, which will allow to objectively evaluate effective work, manage it and motivate personnel. It is also noted that KPIs should have an impact on the financial motivation of employees, that’s why transparency and reach-ability are critical for their effective implementation. Equally important is the ability to track progress in achieving goals, create a foundation for an objective assessment of effectiveness, make operational decisions, compare results and form a responsible environment.

Strategic planning system experience in the United States and its possible applications in Russia

In the modern world, more and more attention is paid to the issues of strategic planning both at corporate and state levels. Sustainable socio-economic development of the state, improving quality of life of citizens and ensuring security depend, along with other factors, on effectiveness of strategic planning. Federal Law No. 172-FZ of June 28, 2014 «On Strategic Planning in the Russian Federation» establishes the legal framework for the building and development of an integrated system of strategic planning in the field of socio-economic development and national security of Russia. Today, the approach to strategic planning in Russia is characterized by both systemic shortcomings and practical implementation problems. Of particular relevance to the topic is current difficult economic and geopolitical situation, in which inefficient organization of planning increases the risks many times over. As a consequence, it is extremely important to consider the world experience of state strategic planning. The article is focused on the planning system that has developed in the United States. The complexity of the approach, its flexibility, efficiency, harmonization of goals at various levels, tight integration of all elements of the strategic planning system (planning, forecasting, budgeting, management), strict monitoring and control of key performance indicators make it a possible basis for improving the system that exists in our country.
