LEARNERS’ INSIGHTS INTO CRYPTOCURRENCY: A CASE STUDY FROM HO CHI MINH CITY – VIETNAM

It is undeniable that the development of cryptocurrency is an inevitable trend in society's future. Cryptocurrencies have become one of the leading choices made by many investors around the world. Therefore, updating knowledge about the general development trend of the financial market as well as about the cryptocurrency system is indispensable for everyone, especially young people—the generation that holds the global economy's future. It is critical that college students are introduced to and educated on the cryptocurrency framework. If there is no action taken, economics educators will run the risk that their students are left back in this flourishing and endlessly changeable economy. So it is crucial to define the measurements of students' awareness about the medium ahead of teaching-related materials. The data in this study was collected from 355 survey samples conducted by students in Ho Chi Minh City. The survey consists of 15 questions using various scales, designed by the research group, and using Microsoft Excel 2016 for quantitative analysis, including percentages and frequencies. The research findings reveal that the students' awareness is still low, despite the significance of knowing about cryptocurrency. However, they are gradually realizing the necessity of things and are willing to enhance their own knowledge of this aspect.

유아 STEAM교육과 비주얼 리터러시 활동 연계의 교육적 함의

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore the need for visual literacy education in the field of early childhood education and to present the educational implications about linking early childhood STEAM education and visual literacy activities.
 Methods For this purpose, domestic and foreign academic journal papers, theses, research reports, and books related to visual literacy and STEAM education were analyzed. Through this, the social background of visual literacy and the concept of its components were understood, and the meaning of the link with early childhood visual literacy activities and STEAM education was explored.
 Results First, the concepts of visual literacy presented by various scholars were organized, the components were compared and analyzed, and the components were classified into six categories. Second, it has been confirmed that visual literacy education for young children in Korea is still at a basic level, and that visual literacy education is included in the school curriculum as part of media education in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Third, the need to provide visual literacy education from early childhood was confirmed, and the possibility of improving educational effectiveness through linking early childhood STEAM education and visual literacy activities was explored.
 Conclusions Through this study, the need for visual literacy education to proceed from early childhood was revealed, and the educational implications of visual literacy in early childhood education were presented from a philosophical and educational perspective. In addition, the educational meaning of linking early childhood STEAM education and visual literacy activities was presented from a social and educational perspective. This is meaningful in that it can contribute to cultivating the core competencies of convergence talent required in the future society.

청소년 실천공동체 학습 모형 개발

Objectives This study aimed to develop an initial conceptual model of adolescence community of practice learning to overcome the limitations of knowledge memorization-based education and to revitalize education based on practical experiences suitable for the development of competencies required in the future society. This study sought to find ways to revitalize adolescence community of practice so that adolescence can grow educationally through more self-directed and practical experiences.
 Methods To develop the conceptual model, this study applied Randers’(1980) four-step methodology. First, for conceptualization, this study reconceptualized the general components of community of practice through literature review to fit adolescence community of practice. Second, for formalization, in-depth interviews with adolescence community of practice stakeholders were conducted to derive the constructs of the adolescence community of practice conceptual model and to illustrate the relationships among the constructs. Third, for validation, this study gathered perspectives, advice, and evaluations from experts with experience and knowledge in adolescence community of practice. The fourth step, implementation, is the policy dissemination and diffusion of the conceptual model, so this study was limited to the verification stage.
 Results The characteristics of adolescence community of practice learning model are youth's subjective interest, communication with others through joint activities, and practical activities inside and outside of school. The design principles are facilitative design principles, participatory design principles, ecological design principles. The strategies are summarized as stepping stone strategy, seed cultivation strategy, process-oriented strategy. Connecting them to the goals of the learning model, which are to have their own thoughts and language, improve communication with others, and improve problem-solving skills, this study summarized the process of forming self-interest, social expansion, and expansion of activities from self-standing to self-standing by comparing it to the life cycle of a tree.
 Conclusions By utilizing the adolescence community of practice learning model, adolescence can improve their ability to collaborate with others through education based on their interests and interests, rather than one-way transmission education centered on instructors, and they can acquire competencies by solving practical problems by themselves.

Developing an artificial intelligence literacy framework: Evaluation of a literacy course for senior secondary students using a project-based learning approach

The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace is pressuring employees to learn how to harness this technology. The goal of promoting AI literacy is to equip educated citizens with the readiness to apply AI. The aim of this study is to provide evidence to guide the development of an AI Literacy Framework to prepare educated citizens to participate in future society. We report on a 14-h AI literacy course for senior secondary students, emphasising problem-solving competence development and adopting the project-based learning approach. One hundred and twenty-eight students completed the course, and a mixed-methods analysis was conducted to evaluate the results. A post-course test showed that the course had improved the students’ ability to use AI concepts in solving real-life problems. Self-surveys indicated that the students showed a significant improvement in their metacognitive strategies in problem-solving, and had a better understanding of the ethical boundaries and principles that govern the use of AI for problem-solving. A thematic analysis of data drawn from focus group interviews with the students and their self-reflective writings indicated that PBL supported them in reflecting critically on the ethical use of AI and developing their problem-solving competence. Future studies should consider validating the course evaluation instruments among a more extensive and diverse population.

For a Contemporary Vision of the History and the Phenomenology of Fashion

This paper traces the salient phenomena that have marked the history of fashion and define it as it is now-adays. Foremost, an attempt is made to value the term “fashion” under different lights. From the 18th century onward, there was a succession of historical, political, social, and cultural changes that accelerated the phenomenon consolidation of fashion as a cultural phenomenon of great importance and dynamism, both in terms of its incursions into the languages of art and in terms of the international economy.
 A few focuses follow: on Lombard clothing, on how some items played different roles besides clothing, on the costume in the Goldoni’s theater, on the twentieth-century Decadentism of Oscar Wilde, and others. Other aspects that characterize the industry today follow: the intersection of fashion with all the other arts, the role of magazines in the process of women’s emancipation, the meaning of “fashion showcase”, luxury brands and the phenomenon of their counterfeiting, the role of the “prosumer”, and sustainable fashion laws, looking toward a future zero-carbon society.

Exploration on the Integration of Ideological and Politi-cal Education and Employment Guidance in Vocational Colleges

In the current context of well-rounded education, vocational colleges should pay attention to guiding students to integrate ideologi-cal and political education while learning professional knowledge, so that students can have good professional literacy in their future employ-ment life. Currently, vocational colleges need to integrate ideological and political elements under employment guidance, so that students have a good employment spirit and can better adapt to future society. Based on this, this article mainly explores and analyzes the practical teaching strategy of integrating ideological and political education with employment guidance in vocational colleges, it s hoped to provide relevant personnel with some references.

The Integration of Interdisciplinary Knowledge and the Cultivation of Adolescents' Future Core Competencies in Project-Based Learning

This paper reviews the modern social context of the times and analyzes the requirements of the future core literacy of young people and the relevant connotation and practice of the project-based learning model. Through literature review, the main arguments of this paper were: 1)The core competencies that enable adolescents to be life-time learners and problem solvers are reading, thinking, expressing, cooperating and leadership; 2)The integration of interdisciplinary knowledge can strengthen the learning ability of adolescents; 3)Project-based learning is an effective way for the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge and future core competencies. The contribution of this paper is to put forward the core competencies that adolescents need to have in order to cope with the challenges of the future society in the context of the times, and how to build up the above competencies in project-based learning, as well as to put forward further reflections on the optimization of the project-based learning mode in the future.

A Study of Dystopian Literature as a Depiction of Existing Ecological Crises and as a Caution to the Future Society

This research paper focuses on the current ecological crises that are represented in the dystopian fiction and also presents a caution to the future society to preserve the natural ecosystem for the harmonious living. Many ecological resources are becoming scarce and it is vital to take it into consideration for the welfare of the world and all the living creatures that depend upon them, for their survival. Dystopian literature intends to depict some of the probing existing environmental issues in its narrative which in turn creates awareness among the people to take necessary actions or that might lead into a unimaginable apocalyptic future as portrayed in the fictions of Dystopia. The ecological issues of Climate change, global warming, pollution, over use of technology , deforestation, Loss of biodiversity, extinction of species, depletion of Natural resources, food and water Scarcity and many issues are been faced by the current world. Dystopian fiction not only warns the people about the existing ecological issues but also about the eminent danger of the over use of technologies like bioengineering, nanotechnology which could be a potential threat to the society and its harmonious living. Along with the anthropocentric attitudes, the natural resources and the environment deteriorates in a rapid phase with alarms the human community to protect the natural treasures and dystopian literature serves as a representation of these ecological crises. It also cautions the readers about the impending dangers in the society.

Research on the Development of a Conceptual Framework for Core Values in National Curriculum through Future Society Prediction

This study aims to address the importance of core value education required in the curriculum according to the changing times, and to explore and develop a core value concept word system for the curriculum at the national level curriculum. As a research method, first, the core value concept words used in the 2022 revised curriculum documents were frequency analyzed to derive important core value concept words. Then, we analyzed the headlines of the hexagonal promotion tasks in the main work report documents of each government department using frequency analysis and topic modeling techniques to identify trends, and generated scenarios for predicting the future society using ChatGPT and finally classified them according to STEEP. The future society prediction scenarios classified by STEEP were matched with the core value concept words in the 2022 revised curriculum document and presented systematically in terms of society and individuals. As a result of the study, 30 core value concept words including “respect” were derived from the 2022 revised curriculum, and “industry, expansion, and promotion” were important in the headlines of the key initiatives of each government ministry's major work report. Words such as “education, culture, and marine,” which represent the characteristics of the government's major work report but also the characteristics of each ministry, were also included in the high frequency range, confirming that it can be meaningful to derive future scenario topics from the headlines of the key initiatives of the government's major work report. There were 10 future society prediction scenarios generated using ChatGPT, and after classifying them according to STEEP, we developed a core value concept word system consisting of a total of 30 words divided into society and individual aspects. The core value conceptual language system will contribute to the activation and systematization of core value education in elementary and secondary schools, and will be the basis for connecting with liberal arts education at the university level.

Managing the Energy-Saving of College Students

Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the energy-saving behaviors (ESB) of college students, who represent the backbone of the future society, is imperative for advancing energy conservation initiatives. This paper employs a PLS-SEM model with 2786 valid responses to investigate the determinants of college students' ESB within the comprehensive action determination model (CADM). The results show that (1) the applicability of CADM, including the theory of planned behavior, norm activation model, and ipsative theory of behavior, was confirmed in the context of college students' ESB. (2) The cultivation of energy-saving habits significantly contributes to the promotion of ESB. (3) The availability of energy-saving access has a positive impact on ESB. (4) Media's energy-saving promotional activities positively influence the energy-saving intention. (5) Energy-saving policy incentives exert a positive moderating influence on the transition from energy-saving intentions to ESB. Based on these empirical findings, this paper provides specific and target policy recommendations.

The Influence of Teaching Methods on the Consumer Psychology of College Students and Its Practical Strategies

With the rapid development of science and technology and the increasing globalization of society and economy, college students, as the backbone of the future society, have a far-reaching impact on the concept of consumption psychology not only directly related to their individual development, but also on the sustainable development of the whole society. However, traditional teaching methods may lag in the face of diversified student needs and an informationized learning environment. Therefore, how to more effectively guide college students to form a positive psychological concept of consumption through innovative teaching methods has become an important issue facing contemporary higher education. By deeply analyzing the influence of different teaching methods on students' consumption psychology and proposing corresponding practical strategies, this paper will provide a useful reference for the reform of higher education and promote students to be more rational and responsible in the face of the increasingly complex consumer society.

Reactive aldehyde chemistry explains the missing source of hydroxyl radicals

Hydroxyl radicals (OH) determine the tropospheric self-cleansing capacity, thus regulating air quality and climate. However, the state-of-the-art mechanisms still underestimate OH at low nitrogen oxide and high volatile organic compound regimes even considering the latest isoprene chemistry. Here we propose that the reactive aldehyde chemistry, especially the autoxidation of carbonyl organic peroxy radicals (R(CO)O2) derived from higher aldehydes, is a noteworthy OH regeneration mechanism that overwhelms the contribution of the isoprene autoxidation, the latter has been proved to largely contribute to the missing OH source under high isoprene condition. As diagnosed by the quantum chemical calculations, the R(CO)O2 radicals undergo fast H-migration to produce unsaturated hydroperoxyl-carbonyls that generate OH through rapid photolysis. This chemistry could explain almost all unknown OH sources in areas rich in both natural and anthropogenic emissions in the warm seasons, and may increasingly impact the global self-cleansing capacity in a future low nitrogen oxide society under carbon neutrality scenarios.

Internet Addiction in Nursing Students: An Evaluation in Terms of Feelings of Inadequacy and Psychological Resilience Predictors

Abstract
 Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between internet addiction, psychological endurance, and inadequacy feelings in nursing students. 
 Materials and Methods: This study was designed as a correlational, descriptive cross-sectional study. The sample of the study consisted of 536 students studying at the health sciences faculty of a university in the west of Turkey. The personal information form, the Internet Addiction Scale (IAS), the Psychological Resilience Scale (PRS) and the Inadequacy Feeling Scale (IFS) were used for data collection between February-April 2018.
 Results: It was determined that meeting expectations, being a controlling father, and doing the homework on the internet had a decreasing effect on the IAS score averages. On the other hand, aimless surfing on the internet, daily internet connection time, and playing games were found to have an increasing effect. It was found that the increase in PRS subscale scores (excluding challenge) had a reducing effect on the symptomatic status of IAS. In addition, it was found that the increase in IFS subscale scores had an increasing effect on the symptomatic state. 
 Conclusion: It is determined that feelings of inadequacy and psychological resilience are important factors in students' internet addiction. Training programs on problem solving, coping with stress and effective internet use can be planned for youth, who are the future of society.

Research on the Resource Treatment and Comprehensive Utilization of Carbon Containing Wastes Using Pyrolysis–Gasification Two-Stage Recycling

Carbon containing waste has a certain calorific value and utilization value due to the presence of carbon elements. However, the current treatment methods are mostly traditional landfill disposal, incineration, or expensive physical and chemical reaction methods, which clearly do not comply with the rules of the current clean and resource-saving society. In this paper, a new technology and system for carbon containing wastes is proposed, which comprehensively treats and recycles carbon containing wastes, including solid waste, wastewater, waste gas, etc., using pyrolysis–gasification two-stage-cycle technology. The calculation results indicate that the technical scheme proposed in this article is feasible and can achieve the recycling of intermediate and final products, the efficient and clean utilization of carbon containing waste, and the graded utilization of energy. The clean utilization rate of carbon containing waste can be effectively improved, the energy consumption and cost of separate treatments can be reduced, and zero waste emissions can be completely achieved by the comprehensive pyrolysis–gasification two-stage-cycle treatment and resource utilization technology, which is one of the preferred solutions for future resource-saving societies.

From worshipping Tyche to playing with wild cards

AbstractIn his Physics, Aristotle acknowledges the role of Tyche, the Greek equivalent of contingency. His home, the Greek peninsula, was, and is today, regularly struck by natural hazards. Ancient records document that they wrought substantial damage to the infrastructure and political integrity of communities. Lacking reliable forecasting systems, for the ancient Greeks any of these hazards was contingent, even though there existed accepted interpretations of what (or who) caused these phenomena. Roughly 2.500 years later, future studies call sudden, unpredictable events like these ‘wild cards’. Occurring with a low probability but a substantial impact, wild cards pose challenges to social, political, and economic stability. Just as natural hazards unexpectedly interrupted and transformed social, political, and economical life in ancient communities, wild cards have the potential to disrupt current and future societies and economies. With the modern world increasingly complex and interconnected, wild cards will increase in frequency, likelihood, and impact. More than ever, local calamities will show global effects. To mitigate these effects and enable a fast recovery, creative approaches are needed. A gaze into how the societies of the distant past successfully coped with the wild cards that hit them, may thus yield inspiration for disaster risk reduction in the Anthropocene.

W poszukiwaniu wzorca osobowości nauczyciela. Założenia pedagogiki św. Jana de La Salle w odniesieniu do klasycznych koncepcji polskiej literatury pedeutologicznej oraz opinii młodzieży

Aim: The study, based on the analysis of the literature on the subject and conducted research, attempts to define the challenges and requirements for a modern teacher who, in order to adapt and at the same time find his way in the realities of the modern world, must constantly learn. Currently, the emphasis is on shaping personality and attitudes, then on developing the necessary skills and providing knowledge. Undoubtedly, this order has an impact on the creation of creative, open and independent individuals, thus corresponding to the ideal of the times in which we live. This mission is guided by the idea of developing a teacher and educator in accordance with the principles of St. Jan de La Salle, according to whose teaching mission is a privileged mission. Against the background of the assumptions of St. Jan de La Salle explained what the ideal of the teaching profession should be and analyzed the statements of future students of the profession. Methods: For the purposes of the project, a research question was posed: what should a contemporary teacher (educator) and youth educator be like? The research was embedded in qualitative methodology. When making methodological assumptions, no hypotheses were formulated because no similar research had been conducted on the selected group before. The research project was carried out using the diagnostic survey method. Results: In the light of the conducted analyses, the perception of the teacher's authority by contemporary young apprentices of the profession was presented. Coclusion: Currently, it is important to emphasize the importance of a teacher's personality in the context of influencing the quality of education and shaping the future modern society. Orginality: There are no studies in contemporary literature that would analyze the scope of Saint's activity. Jan de La Salle in the context of searching for a teacher's personality model and his own research. The meaning and activity of the presented Saint. Nowadays, Jana de La Salle seems to be gaining in importance as a model in the process of preparing future students of the profession. It is also important that the assumptions are included in the Polish pedeutological literature, which is a model for future teachers. Keyword: teacher, personality, education, learning process.

Cultivation Strategy of Higher Vocational Students' Autonomous Learning Ability under the Background of "Internet +"

Autonomous learning ability is an essential ability for outstanding talents. The future society under the background of the "Internet +" is a learning society that requires everyone to have the ability to learn autonomously. The learning status, career development, and social environment of higher vocational students require them to have a certain degree of autonomous learning ability. In the process of education, emphasis should be placed on cultivating students' autonomous learning ability, enabling them to develop good learning habits, master correct learning methods, and improve effective learning efficiency. All of these will promote students to autonomous learning, active learning, and exploring Learning. The research team applied the learning theories of humanism and constructivism, as well as social cognitive theory, to systematically explore three guiding strategies for higher vocational students to autonomous learning, including updating the concept of autonomous learning for students and educators, stimulating students' motivation for autonomous learning, and creating a good environment for college students to autonomous learning, enhance students' ability to use internet resources and platforms correctly for autonomous learning.

The role of temporal analogies in collective movements

AbstractAlthough the importance of temporal perspectives for understanding collective movements has been theoretically emphasised, they are rarely considered in research. Focusing on the mass protests against COVID‐19 policies in Germany, we investigated how protesters make use of temporal references in their protest narratives. Results from 11 multi‐site protest observations and 31 interviews showed that participants (a) drew historical perpetrator and victim analogies and imagined a dystopian future, bolstering perceptions of injustice, (b) drew on resistance narratives and imagined the ideal, utopian future society, increasing their perceived efficacy and (c) countered feelings of insignificance by identifying with past heroes. Protesters living in the East of Germany drew comparatively more resistance analogies than those living in the West, who often likened those complying with the COVID‐19 policies to the perpetrators of the past national‐socialist and communist dictatorships. The findings empirically underline the importance of integrating historical–cultural–future perspectives into models of collective action.
