Public safety and citizen protection are common goals that police officers must achieve. Developing leadership capacity alongside crisis management skills is essential for effectively responding to various crises within the security field. Additionally, there is active discussion about the leadership that the public sector must possess due to changes in government governance patterns to solve complex problems in future society. Future police education and training will be converted to competency-based education by the Police Future Vision 2050. Accordingly, the purpose is to suggest future tasks for police leadership education. Firstly, it advocates for establishing a police leadership education system based on an independent leadership model. Secondly, it is necessary to restructure police leadership education into a competency-based system. Thirdly, there is a need to integrate leadership functions of educational institutions and establish a management of quality and inspection system for education. Finally, this paper underscores the importance of evaluating and applying research on police leadership competencies.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to exlore the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum, which emphasizes competency-based education, and to examine insights that can be applied to our own early childhood education curriculum. A literature review was conducted comparing and analyzing the characteristics, significance, and implications of the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum before and after its revision. Methods A literature review was conducted comparing and analyzing the characteristics, significance, and implications of the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum documents before and after revision. Results Firstly, through the revision process, the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum expanded its understanding of children's learning, and emphasized values, socio-emotional competencies, and learning dispositions. Additionally, it streamlined learning areas and altered area names. These changes are aimed at laying the foundation for learning essential for adapting to future society, fostering lifelong learners from early childhood, and enabling them to grow. Secondly, the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum emphasizes the learning of competent learners and underscores the importance of learning experiences tailored for this purpose. It emphasizes the formation of children's competencies and consistently stresses the intention and role of educators. Furthermore, it encourages interest in assessing children's learning, providing guidance on specific learning content and observable behaviors. Conclusions Through exploring the Singaporean early childhood education curriculum, insights were gained into various content and structures that can be incorporated into educational curriculum documents. It also suggests the need for reflection on the scope of documents that contain this content.

Increase in dental hygienists’ competency and self-directed capacity after capstone-designed class on community dental hygiene

Objectives: This study aimed to verify the effect on students’ competency and self-directed capacity after a capstone-designed teaching method with community dental hygiene class. Methods: The study participants were 34 dental hygiene students taking a 4-year community dental hygiene course at a university located in City C. The research tool consisted of 52 questions on major competency and 20 questions on self-directed capacity. Results: After the capstone design class, overall dental hygienists’ competency increased (p<0.05), and competencies of clinical dental hygiene and community health promotion showed a high increase (p<0.001). As a result of analyzing the increase in dental hygienists’ competency according to self-directed learning ability, the group with low self-directed capacity showed high improvement in clinical dental hygiene competency and community oral health promotion competency. Conclusions: This study confirmed that the capstone-designed community dental hygiene class improved students’ competency and self-directed capacity, and suggests that it is an excellent teaching method for training competencies required for future society.

This study aims to explore and argue the significance of using AI and new me dia to promote new reading and creative expression among liberal arts education learners. After exposing liberal arts education learners to the AI poetry book “Why Write Poetry” and the AI poetry drama “Paphos,” this study was designed to create “video poems” using new media based on the above experiences. This is because it is assumed that through AI creations, liberal arts education learners will approach works using AI with interest, and furthermore, they will continue to ‘write’ their thoughts and imagination as an opportunity to explore ‘me’ by analyzing the mean ing and expression inherent in AI creations. More specifically, this study asked learners who read AI creations to create poetry texts based on their impressions and to write and revise video poetry plans using new media. We chose video poetry production using new media for the following reasons. The learners were exposed to A.I. poetry and poetry theater, and understood the im ages in poetic texts and stage performances. However, it is not possible to produce enough poetry texts and poetry plays for learners to gain educational efficacy im mediately based on the contents of the class. Therefore, this study introduced a new creative method that incorporates video. Since learners have had many opportuni ties to encounter video texts through social media and online, the teaching method of creating video poems using new media is a new writing method designed in line with the modern IT era that allows learners to take a break from traditional literary writing and gain a sense of accomplishment. To summarize the results of this class In this study, liberal arts education learn-ers were asked to write an essay through the production and presentation of video poems using A.I. creations, and analyzing their essays, many changes occurred, unlike before when they were not interested in poetry or poetry plays. Furthermore, the learners were able to share the video poems with their fellow learners’ inner concerns, and sincerely acquire interest and enjoyment in the medium and genre of literature. Ultimately, through the above liberal arts education, learners were able to break away from their self-centered perspective, understand the feelings of others, and develop a mutual respectful attitude through other people’s writings and videos. The educational process designed in this study is a method designed to empa thize and communicate with each other’s inner ‘subjectr’ and ‘valuesr’ despite the fact that the learners are from various majors. In particular, what is expected from this study is that it can help the development of liberal arts education by realizing creative, fusion and convergent educational theories and analyses in response to the future society that has already arrived, and realizing them in university education classes.

Using MATLAB to Make Population Prediction Analysis

Through the curve fitting and interpolation function of matlab software, based on the demographic data in the Statistical Yearbook of Hunan Province from 2000 to 2020, the total population, birth rate and death rate of Hunan Province were predicted, and the data and images were obtained, showing intuitive results. This study uses the two forecasting methods to obtain images and compare them to enrich the population forecasting methods, which has great theoretical and research significance for the population development trend of the future society and the formulation of correct and reasonable population planning schemes.

Mobile/VR/Robotics/IoT-Based Chatbots and Intelligent Personal Assistants for Social Inclusion

Chatbots are dialogue systems that utilize computational linguistics (CL), including automatic speech recognition (ASR) and natural language processing (NLP). Artificially intelligent conversational agents combine personalization, interoperability, and scalability with the aim of promoting safe information monitoring, management, and retrieval. AI chatbots offer user-friendly engagement for innovative e-learning, care assistance, and multilingual digital content creation, promoting inclusiveness and AI-enhanced communication. They are a breakthrough for future societies and economies as they can offer cost-effective, tailor-made, and instant exchange of knowledge and skills, including on-site assistance, health monitoring, and e-consultation. AI chatbots are constantly improving to the benefit of their users. Their economic and social impact is expected to rise as individuals, especially vulnerable populations, are trained to use them for lifelong learning, decision-making, and problem-solving.

The First Time I Called Myself a ‘Witch’ Was the Most Magical Moment of My Life: Unmasking the Influence of Christianity in the Persecution of Witches Through Cultural Hegemony

Whereas Christianity and biblical narratives continue to constructively form human, theological, spiritual, and social existence, it cannot be downplayed that these two central components sometimes lead to destructive perceptions, actions, and behaviours. This is because Christianity and the Bible have continually influenced the comprehension of humanity and spirituality for centuries. With particular reference to witchcraft, particularly in the South African context, this article aims to unmask and scrutinise the influence of Christianity in the persecution of witches. To do this, this article elicits three biblical pieces of textual evidence from the Bible as one of the historical Christian narratives. To unmask and address the phenomenon of interest, cultural hegemony as a theoretical framework is applied to these three biblical pieces of textual evidence. As a result of this endeavour, this article makes three notable findings. First, as Christianity could be appreciated for constructively shaping social perceptions, actions, and behaviours, it should be implicated in certain immoralities. Second, some of the historical injustices, such as witch-hunts and the killing of witches, have, in large part, been propagated by Christian and biblical ideologies. Third (last), Christianity, as a dominant culture of its time, ought to be unmasked within the contemporary contexts for the very reason that it continues to (re)shape contemporary societies, and it is undoubtedly patent that it may continue to (re)shape future generational societies. This article’s recommendations and closing remarks underscore the necessity to examine Christianity alongside its biblical voices recurrently.

Carbon-oriented pricing scheme in digitalized power transmission networks utilizing carbon-driven demand response program under risk investigation

The main challenge for future sustainable societies is dealing with the high portion of released CO2 throughout smart power transmission systems; consequently, a comprehensive carbon-based framework is required that directly calculates stakeholders' contribution to the network's CO2 emissions. In this case, this paper proposes a mechanism driven by the carbon-tracing (CTR) process to tackle carbon emissions in smart transmission networks. Using the CTR mechanism enables the digitalized independent system operator (ISO) to allocate the total emissions among participants using the real-time data received from smart grid infrastructures. Furthermore, a carbon-based nodal pricing mechanism for gas and power systems is proposed, which reflects the received data from CTR analysis. To reduce carbon emissions in the smart power transmission network, a carbon-based demand response (DR) procedure is suggested, under which consumers will receive higher incentives for reducing their consumption, especially in high-carbon-intensity buses. In addition, in this paper, for effective management of carbon pollution, the uncertainties of wind and loads and leading risks to carbon and operation costs have been modeled. Hence, the conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) method is utilized for modeling the risks related to uncertainties. It can be seen that applying the proposed CVaR-based risk assessment framework and carbon-incentive-based DR programs led to a decrease in daily total carbon and operation costs by 0.66% and 1.02%, respectively.

Lost opportunities for globalisation, digitalisation, and socially sustainable education? Advocating for digital and global Bildung in Swedish upper secondary schools

In this article, we point to how the making visible of diverse linguistic, digital, and cultural competences can contribute to more sustainable and inclusive classroom contexts and future societies. Western notions of universal knowledge reproduces a western way of viewing the world and, as a result, this usually discounts alternative knowledge systems, which perpetuates inequality and may cause tensions in today’s diverse classrooms. Our 2022 pilot study, drawing on an online survey with more than 700 respondents and focus group interviews with 27 participants, indicates that for some multiethnic, multi-abled, and otherwise diverse upper secondary students underlying, often ethnocentric, norms of Swedish education create hurdles in educational contexts. Firstly, in the Swedish context, non-normative and often global experiences are not recognised at school. Secondly, topics addressed in the courses they take are primarily focused on aspects originating in a Swedish, Nordic, or Western tradition. Curricular policies and classroom practices must take lost opportunities, which we argue are not socially sustainable, into account as a more global and holistic approach when articulating what educational learning is supposed to be about, for, and for whom, and thus integrating learning, digitalisation, and social sustainability.

In the wake of a shifting global landscape marked by a resurgence of authoritarianism, this article explores the challenges facing Western democracies. The euphoria of the post-1989 era has given way to self-doubt, with the rise of left- and right-wing populism a symptom and not a cause of the crisis. The lack of a cohesive vision for the future European society is identified as a major contributor to the current underperformance of Western democracies. Four key axes of development are outlined: societal cohesion, reinterpreting the concept of work, (re-)legitimising democratic political representation and unleashing new sources of value creation. The analysis delves into complex issues such as intergenerational justice, multi-ethnic integration and the re-evaluation of work, emphasising the need for a broader understanding of human existence. The article concludes by advocating for a renewed social vision, drawing on the historical insights of Christian Democratic thinking to navigate the challenges posed by the ongoing transformations in Western societies.

Uncovering the Interplay Between Social Welfare Preferences and Society 5.0 Achievement: Implications for Sustainable Development

Abstract The paper delves into the concept of Society 5.0, which envisions a future society integrating advanced technologies with human-centred values to address current social challenges. It emphasizes the importance of aligning advanced technologies with human-centred values and social preferences to ensure the success and sustainability of Society 5.0. We offer comprehensive insights into the complex interplay between social welfare preferences and societal progress, emphasizing the significance of understanding and addressing societal preferences to foster inclusive, sustainable, and efficient societies aligned with the objectives of Society 5.0. The findings provide valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders in developing targeted interventions and policies that address critical societal challenges and foster progress across various well-being dimensions. The study emphasizes the importance of considering social preferences in the development of Society 5.0 and highlights the need for a holistic approach that integrates social preferences into the development framework. The study unveils that economic success does not guarantee societal advancement, as the array of social preferences reflecting the diversity of SWP impacts a country’s trajectory towards Society 5.0. By combining theoretical and empirical methodologies, we offer robust qualitative and quantitative insights for crafting optimal policies across different scenarios of individual SWPs and their effects on achieving social progress

Mobilność młodych dorosłych z krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej – polsko-czesko-słowacko-ukraińskie studium porównawcze

The young generation is treated as the future of society. This generation’s size, skills and knowledge, as well as economic activity, socio-cultural involvement, marital intentions and family (procreation) plans determine the quality of society. Thus, an important issue is the outflow of young people who decide to migrate abroad. It is therefore important to recognize both the current experiences and the life plans of the young generation in this field. In post-communist countries, the fall of the communist system had a major impact on the increase in mobility. Political, sociocultural and economic changes have contributed to the emergence of new migration-related phenomena and the so-called fluid migration, characterized by free movement of labour, massiveness, diversity and plasticity. The surveyed youth from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have experiences related to functioning within open borders, unlike the youth from Ukraine, where the borders are closed. Wioletta Danilewicz notices the existence of the so-called migration culture, i.e. the acceptance (by the participants of migration processes) that these are phenomena constituting an inherent element of their lives, despite their awareness of the unfavourable co-occurring elements. The research results presented in the text indicate that the surveyed young adults do not fully follow this trend.

Fragmentation and Self-Deception: Study of the Human-Machine Body from the Posthuman Perspective-The Case of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun

In the context of the unstoppable trend of artificial intelligence, science and technology have become the theme of the times. Will the rapid development of modern technology, such as biotechnology and artificial intelligence, dehumanize us? Can a machine have human consciousness? In his novel Klara and the Sun, Kazuo Ishiguro criticizes the arrogance of technological rationality and the arrogance of anthropocentrism from the perspective of a “non-human” robot. The relationship between humans and machines has become a problem that humans need to re-examine. With the help of post-humanism, this paper aims to explore the physical changes and behavioral actions of robots and humans in the novel to reveal the “split” between man and machine and the “self-deception” of humans in the novel, so as to finally trigger thinking about how humans and machines can coexist harmoniously at the juncture between humans and posthumans, and provide reference for the future society between humans and non-humans.

Cross Inequality in Science and Sociology

This research paper aims to analyze the impact of social inequality by discussing income inequality in social sciences and the challenges that women face in employment. Through questionnaire survey and data analysis, this paper comprehensively discusses the multi-dimensional impact of inequality in women’s employment and proposes feasible measures to reduce employment inequality from multiple perspectives. The impact of the current situation of women’s employment in society from two key dimensions of economy and sociology was analyzed. Insights and directions for the future government and society were provided to formulate relevant policies.

Garbage is the remains of human daily activities or natural processes in solid or semi-solid form in the form of organic or inorganic substances that are biodegradable or non-biodegradable which are considered useless and disposed of into the environment. As representatives of the future society, students must be equipped with the value of caring for the environment from an early age. This community service program uses the lecture and question and answer method in the form of a seminar with the theme "Environment: Green Environmental Care School for Muhammadiyah 3 Middle School Students in Sukamaju Village, Kadudampit District, Sukabumi Regency" with the aim of providing knowledge to Muhammadiyah 3 Middle School students about the need for awareness to protect the surrounding environment from damage that they can start from the school environment. Thus, students can contribute to the formation of green schools in their respective schools.

M. Tuhan-Baranovsky’s Struggle for the Success of Ukrainian Cooperation

The paper seeks to consider a given period of the lifetime of M. Tuhan-Baranovsky (1865-1919), the world-famous economist from Eastern Europe. I examine the cooperative activity of Tuhan-Baranovsky in the Ukrainian period from 1917-1919. I attempt to discover the origins of Tuhan-Baranovsky’s fascination with cooperative ideas during this period. The paper also discusses the idea that he began to explore the cooperation theory from 1901- 1905 and partly implemented his concepts from 1917-1919. The paper argues in favor of Tuhan-Baranovsky’s undeniable influence and support of the Ukrainian cooperative movement through the reflection of his practical and scientific activities. In addition, the dynamic development of cooperation in Ukraine determined the content of Tuhan- Baranovsky’s last works, which were on cooperative topics in the Ukrainian context. The paper consists of three parts. The first part gives a brief history of development and the importance of cooperation for the national revival of the Ukrainian people at the beginning of the XX century. The second part focuses on the practical and cooperative activities of Tuhan-Baranovsky in Ukraine, 1917-1919. The third part reveals the cooperative ideal, a concept about the future society Tuhan- Baranovsky expanded in his latest works.

RIGHT TO PRIVACY IN INDIA AND USA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ARTICLE 21 OF THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION

The term ‘Privacy’ is derived from the Latin word ‘Privatus’ which means separated from the rest. Though it is a variable concept and varies with cultural or social context, but actually it means, the right to be left alone. The need for Privacy is to create a balance between individual and social interests, which is equally applicable to past, present and future society. In this sense, the necessity of Privacy was found in the dawn of human civilization. The idea of Privacy is as old as Biblical periods. Also, the growth and expansion of Privacy varied according to the variation in different stages of human civilization. Hence, the description of origin and history of Right to Privacy should proceed from the ancient period to the modern period. In fact, the idea of Privacy was originated in the animal society and gradually it has been incorporated into the human society. The idea of Privacy, which was originated in the animal society, has been adopted in the primitive human society, where the traces of it were first found. According to different Anthropological studies, the idea of Privacy varied in respect of different primitive societies. With the evolution of primitive society to ancient society and then gradually to modern society, the idea of Privacy has been developed to get its present shape. The root of Privacy and its protection is embedded in the history of human civilization, which is characterized specially by transformation of primitive society into modern society. The social transformation has increased both the physical and psychological opportunities for Privacy and also proved to be fruitful for conversion of these opportunities into choices of values in the context of socio- political reality. Social transformation is the responsible factor for changing nature of Privacy as well as the changing character of Privacy violations from primitive societies to modern societies. Keywords.
