Model of Analysis of Ecological-Economic Processes

This article presents a model for assessing the impact of environmental factors on economic performance and optimizing industrial production taking into account environmental costs. The modeling showed the influence of production and environmental parameters on the sustainable development of the economy and revealed the dynamic dependence of the volume of industrial production on time. The model can be used to analyze and predict the effectiveness of environmental measures, as well as to make smart decisions in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection. The developed program shows how the volumes of industrial production and pollutants emitted into the atmosphere change in various areas. Model parameters include initial values of industrial production, volumes of labor resources, capital utilization rates, cleanup costs, depreciation, disposal of funds, minimum values of production and environmental funds, and coefficients of the impact of pollution on the economy. The simulation calculates production volumes, pollution treatment, environmental damage, and environmental income, and then updates industrial production volumes considering depreciation, accumulation, and diffusion. The results demonstrate the dynamics of changes in the production of industrial products and make it possible to determine the volumes of industrial production and pollutants emitted into the atmosphere by region. Graphical results presentations illustrate temporal changes in industrial production and air pollutant emissions by region, facilitating the understanding and management of environmental and economic interactions.

Key issues regarding the syntheses of polypyrrole nanomaterials and their recent application were discussed. Polypyrrole derived dispersions, hydrogels, membranes and composites were outlined by considering improved conductivity and processability.

This article clarifies the essence of ecological and economic relations, which are proposed to be considered as systemic interactions between subjects in the form of governmental, public, scientific and educational, business structures, individuals and their groups during the use of natural resources (extraction, storage , processing, sales, etc.), their restoration, protection, greening of production, ensuring environmental safety. The main directions of manifestation of ecological and economic relations are indicated. The most threatening environmental proble\ers the field of environmental protection as a producer and generator of ecological innovation ideas in the conditions of a competitive market of natural resources, is substantiated.

ЭКОЛОГИЧЕСКИ ОРИЕНТИРОВАННЫЕ МЕТОДЫ ОБЕСПЕЧЕНИЯ УСТОЙЧИВОГО РАЗВИТИЯ ТЕРРИТОРИИ НА ПРИМЕРЕ РЕСПУБЛИКИ ТАТАРСТАН

This article examines the problem of state control of intellectual property and public space in the context of the interaction of the socio-ecological and economic system of Tatarstan with the potential of scientific, technical, intellectual and natural resources. The main directions of the environmental policy of any state are its regulations. In our country, one of such documents is the Declaration of Rights (Charter) of the Earth. The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the subjects of our state that is a leader in the field of eco-innovation, in the management and implementation of “green” technologies in the economy of other regions of Russia, therefore it is advisable to conduct a study using the example of this particular region. The object of the study is the sustainable development of the territory using the example of the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of the study is the constant improvement of the territory following the model of the Republic of Tatarstan, ensuring sustainable development of the regions according to the model by studying environmentally oriented methods. Research methods: means of economic and statistical analysis, classification and comparison methods, monitoring methods, a set of individual research methods. Novelty of the research. In the course of the study, it was found that Tatarstan is an example of a subject of the Russian Federation that managed to introduce a model of sustainable development of innovation in the field of environmental protection, successfully combining the spheres of economics and ecology. “Green” technologies and eco-innovations are important tools for achieving the goals of the environmental policy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Surface functionalized graphene oxide integrated 9,9-diethyl-9H-fluoren-2-amine monohybrid nanostructure: Synthesis, physicochemical, thermal and theoretical approach towards optoelectronics

The fields of energy materials, water purification, environmental protection, catalysis and biomedical technology are greatly promoted by the usage of graphene oxide (GO) and its functionalized derivatives. Among them, the application of functionalized GO in lightning has recently drawn growing attention towards optoelectronics. In the current study, designed and synthesized a 9,9-diethyl-9H-fluoren-2-amine (FA) functionalized with GO by using CDI catalyst results, FA modified graphene oxide (FA-GO) monohybrid. The structural characterization was made with the help of FTIR and Raman spectroscopy; and explored their thermal decomposition temperature (>150 °C). Further, the optical characteristics of UV–visible and photoluminescence (PL) indicate the absorption and emission of FA-GO are ∼314 nm and ∼420 nm, respectively. The calculated CIE color coordinates found to be better in thin film at deep blue emission, are x = 0.158, y = 0.023 (0.1 % PMMA matrix). The FA-GO monohybrid exhibits a striking improvement in PL caused by surface passivation and excited-state intramolecular proton transfer. In addition, density functional theory calculations are used to analyse the stability of the designed structure and its interlayer separation. The results of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy levels are −6.357 eV and −2.286 eV respectively with the energy gap ΔE = 4.071 eV. In addition, the FMOs excel in evaluating various chemical reactivity descriptors such as electronegativity (χ = 4.3215), global hardness (η = 2.0355), softness (δ = 0.4913) and electrophilicity (ω = 4.5874). Furthermore, a high dipole moment value of 9.133 Debye of FA-GO ensures a strong intramolecular interaction. These evolutions help to improve the optical properties based on amine-functionalized GO. The outcomes, directing an approach to the development of graphene-based materials for blue lightning applications.

Tesla enjoys a global leadership position in electric vehicles and sustainable energy, which is a significant advantage. However, in order to remain successful, it is critical to improve its semiconductor supply chain management. As the industry evolves, Tesla's innovation and foresight will play a key role in achieving its mission of advancing sustainable energy.

Doctrinal approach to the concept of the legal nature of the ecological state

The article examines the legal nature of the ecological state based on the analysis of foreign and national legislation.
 Attention is drawn to the fact that the term "ecological state” in various scientific literature is used in such meanings as "green state”, "eco­state”, "eco-centric state”, "ecologically oriented state”, "ecological state of social justice”, etc.
 The normative consolidation of the concept of "ecological state” in foreign countries was analyzed, the scientific literature, and using the systematic method of research, it is necessary to determine several directions of understanding of the "ecological state”. First, the concept of "ecological state” is widely used in foreign countries to describe political and socio-economic systems aimed at protecting the environment and natural resources. These concepts define the state's approach to environmental issues and often indicate that environmental issues are a priority for the government and citizens. Secondly, the "ecological state” must be understood as a system of legal regulation aimed at ensuring ecologically sustainable development through environmental protection and rational use of natural resources. Third, as a system of government bodies, which includes various structures and institutions responsible for the development, implementation and control of environmental policy.
 The features that determine its essence and content of an ecological state are summarized, namely: strict compliance with environmental legislation; supporting sustainable development and promoting the use of renewable energy sources; broad powers of environmental protection authorities; preservation of biodiversity; public participation and transparency; provision of environmental education and formation of citizens' eco-awareness; international cooperation in the field of environmental protection, etc.

High-performance pyramid-SiNWs biosensor for NH3 gas detection

NH3 is widely existed in the environment and is closely associated with various health issues. Additionally, detecting the small amounts of NH3 exhaled by patients with liver and kidney diseases offers potential opportunities for painless early disease diagnosis. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a convenient, rapid, and highly sensitive real-time NH3 monitoring method. This work presents a high-performance NH3 sensor based on olfactory receptor-derived peptides (ORPs) on a pyramid silicon nanowires (SiNWs) structure substrate. First, we successfully fabricated the pyramid-SiNWs structure on a silicon substrate using a chemical etching method. Subsequently, by dehydrative condensation reaction between the amino groups on APTES and the carboxyl groups of ORPs, ORPs were successfully immobilized onto the pyramid-SiNWs structure. This methodology allows the ORPs sensor on the pyramid-SiNWs substrate to detect NH3 as low as 1 ppb, which was the reported lowest limit of detection, with a higher response rate compared to ORPs sensors on flat SiNWs substrates. The sensors also exhibit good sensitivity and stability for NH3 gas detection. The results show the feasibility and potential applications of ORPs-pyramid-SiNWs structure sensors, in the fields of food safety, disease monitoring, and environmental protection, etc.

Modern Approaches to Using a Territorial Community Web Portal to Popularize Eco­Technologies

The relevance of the article. Today’s society faces challenges related to environmental issues that directly affect the quality of our lives and the future of our planet. Environmental pollution, destruction of natural resources and climate change indicate the need for decisive actions in the field of environmental protection. To support the sustainable development of Ukraine’s regions and ensure the viability of ecosystems, it is necessary to involve citizens in participating in programs and projects aimed at the popularization and implementation of eco-technologies. The relevance of this study is to consider modern approaches, methods and initiatives aimed at increasing the environmental awareness and activity of citizens in the amalgamated community in the important matter of environmental protection.
 The purpose of the work is to analyze modern approaches to the use of web portals for popularization eco-technologies among citizens and to build a formal model of the task of popularizing eco-technologies on the web portal of the amalgamated community in order to increase their awareness and optimize activity in making environmentally responsible decisions in everyday life.
 The methodology consists in the use of an analytical method, methods of description, comparison and generalization.
 The results. Modern approaches to the information content of domestic web portals, which popularize the activities of eco-enterprises, are analyzed. An information model for solving the task of promoting eco-technologies through the web portal of the amalgamated community has been developed. A DFD diagram (Data Flow Diagram) was built, which is an important tool for modeling the functional structure of the system and its interaction with the environment. The technological solutions were analyzed and the expediency of using the Drupal platform to popularize eco-technologies to the residents of the amalgamated community was substantiated.
 The scientific novelty of the obtained results is based on the study of specific aspects of the popularization of eco-technologies on the example of the site of the amalgamated community and the development of a formal model of the task of popularizing eco-technologies on the web portal of the amalgamated community. The obtained results will make it possible to develop specific recommendations and practical tools for increasing the awareness and activity of citizens in the field of environmental protection.
 Conclusions. The main approaches practiced on these web resources are the promotion of an ecological lifestyle, the provision of access to ecological goods and services, as well as the formation of a community of ecologically conscious citizens. The sites not only popularize the importance of preserving the environment, but also offer specific solutions to reduce the negative impact on nature. The adequate solution for the popularization of modern eco-technologies on the web portals of amalgamated communities is the use of the Drupal platform. It is a reliable, powerful and secure system that you can easily add functionality to the website by installing modules that provide new features. The main advantages of this platform are its reliability, power and security. The official websites of the governments of France, Italy, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and the USA are hosted on the Drupal platform.

Updated Positions of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in Matters of Qualification of Environmental Crimes

Analysis of the positions of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the qualification of environmental crimes, set out in the updated guidelines, makes it possible to determine the main directions of law enforcement practice in this area. They allow us to determine the main directions of law enforcement practice in the field of combating environmental crimes. It has been established that the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation correctly perceives the criticism of the scientific community and actively implements the advanced positions of the doctrine of criminal law into guiding explanations, promptly studies and generalizes the emerging law enforcement practice for more effective protection of public relations related to the environment. It is noted that approaches have been developed relating to the legal assessment of a socially dangerous act constituting illegal logging of forest plantations, criteria for the legality and illegality of logging activities (in terms of the grounds for logging activities), assessment of damage from illegal hunting, and the differentiation of Art. 260 and 1911 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, confiscation of funds and instruments for committing environmental crimes, etc. Separately, the changed approaches to determining the subject of illegal logging of forest plantations are considered, to which the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation includes forests on agricultural lands, about which there were previously different legal positions. There is a fairly consistent practice of using confiscation of property, which, on the one hand, makes it possible to deprive the guilty of the opportunity to reoffend and complements the punitive effect of punishment, but on the other hand does not contradict the principles of justice and legality. The main conclusion was made that criminal policy in the field of environmental protection as a whole has the right vector of development, and the adopted changes and additions to the guidelines are well justified, timely and contribute to the optimization of law enforcement activities.

Investigation of phytotoxicity and defense responses in pepper exposed to molybdenum disulfide nanoparticles by multi‐omics and phenotypic analyses

AbstractMolybdenum disulfide nanoparticles (MoS2NPs) have attracted considerable attention in the fields of environmental protection and agricultural production. Understanding the potential crop risk (especially in edible parts) incurred by MoS2NPs and the corresponding plant defense against toxicity is a prerequisite for assessing human dietary safety and improving the safe‐by design of such NPs; however, relevant information remains largely unknown. This study examines the toxicity of MoS2NPs to edible vegetable crops of pepper and their corresponding defense mechanisms. Our findings revealed that exposure to MoS2NPs triggered the defense in pepper via reducing transpiration rates in leaves by 36.5%–54.8% and via increasing catalase activity, mineral elements, and gibberellic acid in fruit by 10.7%–32.4%, 0.2%–92.8%, and 28.0%–72.4%, respectively. The defensive response to MoS2NPs stress was also reflected in the elevated amino acid metabolism (e.g., arginine and proline metabolism in leaves, and alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism in fruits), and in the regulation of the oxidation–reduction process proteins in fruits (e.g., increased acyl‐coenzyme A oxidase and cytochrome P450, decreased NADH–ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain and cytokinin dehydrogenase). However, oxidative stress in pepper fruits (e.g., increased H2O2 and malondialdehyde, ultrastructural damage, reduced biomass) was still induced by MoS2NPs, suggesting an unbalance between defense systems and abiotic stress. This study provides valuable insights into the impacts of MoS2NPs on edible parts of crops and helps to assess their ecological risk.

Strategic partnerships for ensuring environmental compliance in business

The article systematically examines and thoroughly explores strategic partnerships as a means of ensuring environmental compliance in the business sector. The work is dedicated to the consideration of key aspects of environmental compliance and its impact on enterprises in the context of interaction with various stakeholders. The concept of environmental compliance in the context of strategic partnerships is investigated, revealing its essence and determining its significance in the contemporary business environment. Environmental compliance is defined as a system of commitments aimed at compliance with legislation and standards in the field of nature and environmental protection. Drawing upon the global aspect of this issue, directions for strategic partnership actions are proposed, taking into account sustainable development goals. Key performance indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of implemented actions are provided for each of the identified directions. Special attention is given to the stages of environmental compliance development. Stages are defined, ranging from the initial phase of familiarization to more complex systematic approaches, helping organizations understand the stage of their environmental strategy development, identify key obstacles and challenges faced by enterprises in implementing environmental compliance. Knowledge of the stages of development enables the implementation of systematic environmental compliance management, including planning, implementation, and monitoring at different stages. It allows adapting environmental compliance strategies to changes in legislation, social requirements, and technological innovations. Key steps and strategies for enterprises to achieve and maintain a high level of environmental responsibility are identified. This aspect allows for a comprehensive consideration of the dynamics and step-by-step development of environmental compliance in the context of strategic partnerships. A detailed analysis of the role of strategic partnerships in ensuring environmental compliance in business is conducted. The positive impact of strategic partnerships on the formation of sustainable environmental practices is demonstrated, along with the identification of factors that contribute to successful interaction with stakeholders and the resolution of environmental challenges. The overall concept of the article highlights the importance of strategic partnerships as an effective instrument for enterprises to achieve and maintain environmental compliance. The research results can serve as a basis for formulating recommendations and strategies aimed at improving the sustainability and responsibility of businesses in the environmental dimensions.

Sustainable solution to the recycling of spent SCR catalyst and its prospective gas sensor application

Nitrogen oxides (NOX) are often produced in industrial combustion processes and are among the most harmful air contaminants. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is currently the most effective technology for reducing effluents. Due to increasingly strict environmental regulations, the demand for SCR catalysts has increased, and inevitably, the need to dispose of the spent catalysts has increased and produced an environmental burden. The necessity for disposal while finding secondary sources for the vanadium, tungsten and titanium present in the catalyst makes recycling of spent SCR catalysts a pressing issue. During this investigation, two tertiary amines were compared to determine their effectiveness in extracting vanadium and tungsten from a spent SCR catalyst. The enrichment process was optimized, and the loaded organic solution (9-fold increased concentration) was further stripped to prepare a mixed metal oxide (MMO) based active sensing material for use in H2S gas detection. The H2S gas sensing characteristics of the MMO material were studied systematically. The MMO sensor showed an excellent sensing response to H2S gas with a high sensitivity of 12.73 % for 100 ppm and quick response/recovery times (tr = 101 s/tf = 133 s) at a low operating temperature of 130 °C. In addition, the sensor exhibited enhanced selectivity, long-term stability, and a detection limit of ∼47 ppb to H2S gas. The experimental findings of this work suggest that the recycled materials from spent SCR catalysts could have sustainable potential in reproducing the active sensing catalyst materials for the practical applications in the field of environmental protection.

Circular Economy Resources - Operationalization of restraints and optimization of choices

Purpose of the study: The article presents a preliminary analysis of the available and collected statistical data as part of the Research Project: SUPB. RN.23.108, ID: 108, which is intended to serve as a starting point for further research on circular economy. The aim of the analysis will be to diagnose the “hotspots” so that a proper analysis in the next year of research will allow the author to find targeted solutions and formulate recommendations.
 Methodology: This article reviews the available literature. Items compatible with the author's research topics have been selected, supplemented with other sources, the most important of which are listed in the bibliography. Therefore, a preliminary analysis of existing data (secondary studies) was used as a method.
 Main Findings: A preliminary analysis of the indicators allowed us to draw general conclusions. First, it is necessary to further tighten the legal provisions in the field of environmental protection, while at the same time defining the precise timeframe for each of the stages. Secondly, it is necessary to develop the sources of financing for the activities undertaken. Thirdly, there is no chance for change without an increase in consumer environmental awareness. Fourth, you can't make changes and make the right choices in the short term. 
 Applications of the study: The content of the article may be useful to a wide audience interested in the subject matter being studied. It is also extremely important for the author of the article, as it is a starting point for further scientific research. In addition, the subject matter and information provided will be used at the Jan Kochanowski University during practical meetings/classes with students.
 Novelty/Originality of the study: In the article, the author emphasized several important elements of an extremely difficult puzzle, which is a well-functioning circular economy system. It focused on several key areas: better use of scarce resources, minimization of waste, reduction of overexploitation of the natural environment. Without such actions, she believes, civilization will move towards self-destruction at an alarmingly fast pace. Faced with a choice: costly exploitation of new resources or recovery and recycling, as a way to reduce the devastation of the natural environment and minimize the costs associated with obtaining new sources and areas for exploitation, the author presented the scale of the problem and legal constraints (imposing the need to make a specific choice), in force in selected EU countries.

State environmental policy in modern conditions: status and directions of improvement

Problem setting. Given the invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country, the implementation of the state environmental policy is of particular importance today, and its effective implementation requires the use of effective tools, improvement of current legislation and strategic planning, taking into account the need to intensify European integration and adopt EU best practices in this area. Therefore, the urgent issue now is to identify ways to increase the efficiency of state policy in the environmental sphere, to formulate and optimize the regulatory and legal support for the implementation of state environmental policy. Analysis of recent researches and publications. The issues of implementation of the state environmental policy and the problems of improving the system of public administration of environmental safety have been considered by many scientists. For example, I. I. Samoilova [1] in her scientific works investigated the potential of the public administration system in Ukraine and the issue of its use to ensure environmental safety. Р. S. Kirin and S. V. Hryshchak conducted a comprehensive study of topical issues of ensuring and implementing environmental rights in the strategies of the State environmental policy and security of Ukraine during the wartime period and substantiated that the challenges of the wartime period determine the formation of an appropriate set of legal instruments with the help of which a platform should be built for direct or indirect measures to prevent, protect and restore the environmental rights of citizens violated by armed aggression, including an international mechanism for the restoration of environmental rights. Despite the sufficient number of scientific papers, the chosen research topic requires additional developments due to the need for scientific research on ways to improve the efficiency of state environmental safety and ensure environmentally balanced development of the state. Purpose of research is to study the topical issues of implementation of the State environmental policy in modern conditions and to identify possible areas for its improvement. Article’s main body. In the context of martial law, theoretical and practical issues of effective implementation of the state environmental policy, taking into account the existing processes of deepening the environmental crisis, are gaining particular relevance and new features. Modern processes of greening the world economy based on the concepts of sustainable development, rational use of natural resources and green economy require an effective environmental policy of the world community, with a long-term vision of state changes in accordance with the principles of balanced development laid down in strategic legislative and regulatory documents, but each developed strategy aimed at environmental protection and rational use of natural resources requires a clear mechanism for the implementation of the relevant legislation. That is, the development of relevant strategies requires the implementation of a well-established clear mechanism and consistency with the norms of the current legislation in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources. The provisions of important strategic documents were analyzed, such as: The Basic Principles (Strategy) of the State Environmental Policy of Ukraine until 2030, the National Waste Management Strategy in Ukraine until 2030, and the Strategy for Environmental Security and Climate Change Adaptation until 2030. Some issues of implementation of regional programs on environmental protection, rational use of natural resources and environmental safety are considered. Conclusions and prospects for the development. As a result of the study, it is reasonable to conclude that there are systemic problems in the implementation of the state environmental policy, in particular, the implementation of national and regional strategic priority areas, which require updating the relevant mechanisms for implementing environmental policy, including institutional ones. In addition to the above, it is now necessary to harmonize current legislation with strategic planning documents. That is, the current legislation in the field of environmental security should be correlated with the relevant strategic directions and state programs, which is extremely important in the context of the need to restore the national economy and all components of the country's national security on the way to EU membership.

Structure, Properties, Preparation, and Application of Layered Titanates.

As a typical cation-exchangeable layered compound, layered titanate has a unique open layered structure. Its excellent physical and chemical properties allow its wide use in the energy, environmental protection, electronics, biology, and other fields. This paper reviews the recent progress in the research on the structure, synthesis, properties, and application of layered titanates. Various reactivities, as well as the advantages and disadvantages, of different synthetic methods are discussed. The reaction mechanism and influencing factors of the ion exchange reaction, intercalation reaction, and exfoliation reaction are analyzed. The latest research progress on layered titanates and their modified products in the fields of photocatalysis, adsorption, electrochemistry, and other applications is summarized. Finally, the future development of layered titanate and its exfoliated product two-dimensional nanosheets is proposed.
