Abstract
. The article analyzes the theoretical and legal aspects of the formation of environmental culture of citizens, the authors examined the content of the concept of environmental culture, as well as its individual aspects, analyzed the main directions of state policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of environmental protection, identified prospects for the development of environmental education and formulated practical recommendations for improving legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of environmental protection.
