Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Karakter dalam Naskah Drama Anak-Anak Kerajaan Burung Karya Saini KM

This research aims to describe the values of character education in the children's drama script of the Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM. The object used in this study is the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM which contains the values of character education. This type of research is qualitative research using the content analysis method. The data collection technique is to read and understand the script of the drama Kingdom of the Bird by Saini KM with the aim of obtaining a clear understanding of the drama script, identifying dialogues or actions that have character education values in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM, recording data related to character education values on the record sheet and inventorying the data that has been obtained in the form of a table format. The data analysis technique is to classify data regarding the character education values contained in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM in the form of a data recording format, clarify or clarify the data that has been obtained, interpret the data regarding the values of character education in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM and draw conclusions and report the results of data analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that the values of character education in the script of the drama Kingdom of Birds by Saini KM, namely the values of character education (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) hard work, (4) democratic, (5) appreciating achievements, (6) friendly/communicative, (7) love of peace, (8) caring for the environment, (9) caring for social, and (10) responsibility.

Multi-Language Translated Drama Scripts as Reference Information for Actors

Background: Drama texts translated into various languages ​​are a form of communication across linguistic boundaries and a window that reveals the richness of diverse cultures. For actors, engaging in the performance of a multilingual script provides an incredible opportunity to explore the nuanced complexities of different cultures. Actors learn new words and soak up the soul of a culture that may be very different. Purpose: The main aim of this research is to (1) find out the extent to which language variations are used in translated drama scripts and (2) the extent to which language variations influence the way actors understand and portray characters. Design and methods: This research uses a content analysis method on intralingually translated drama texts sourced from the Matara Production archives. Results: The results of this research reveal (1) that three languages ​​are used (English, Indonesian and Sundanese) and (2) that multiple languages ​​are used to show narrative diversity, subtlety of relationships in roles and cultural context. The importance of using regional languages ​​in specific cultural contexts becomes clear, as in the depiction of the local ghost, Kuntilanak, which adds another layer of cultural richness. It can be concluded; this research highlights the significance of the use of multiple languages ​​in the expression and communication of actors. Multilingualism allows actors to convey characters with greater depth, creating an immediate bond with multilingual audiences. Language is not only a means of communication but also a key holder of cultural identity, bringing to life cultural aspects that are difficult to explain in words.

웹드라마를 활용한 한국어 준말형 조사 교육 연구

Objectives The purpose of this study is to consider the theory of abbreviated form of particles, to analyze the frequency of use and to identify limitations or problems in the current state of education to propose an effective educational plan for abbreviated form of particles, which are difficult and colloquial grammar for foreign learners. Methods First, information about Korean abbreviated form of particles was organized based on previous research and the contents of Korean orthography. And based on it the subject of this study was selected. Subsequently, the forms and frequency of abbreviated forms of particles used by native Korean speakers in their daily lives were examined through web drama script analysis. In addition, in order to propose efficient education content for foreign learners, the actual state of abbreviated forms of particles in the dialogues in Korean language textbooks was analyzed. And it was also confirmed whether the explanation of the ‘abbreviated forms of particles’ was presented in the ‘grammar’ section. Subsequently, after comparing abbreviated forms of particles that appeared high in web drama and Korean textbooks, teaching and learning procedures were systematically proposed. Results The results are as follows: firstly, it was confirmed that native language speakers frequently use abbreviated form of particles through analysis of web dramas. Especially the abbreviated form of the particle ‘eun’ is used most frequently. On the other hand, the frequency of use of the particle ‘i’ was the lowest. Subsequently, in Korean textbook dialogues, abbreviated form of particles appeared with a similar frequency of use. However the forms of combinations such as ‘statement + particle’, ‘verb + particle + particle’ or ‘verb + ending + particle’ in web-dramas were more diverse. Unfortunately, in Korean textbooks these various forms of abbreviated form of particles was not appear frequently, and there was almost no explanatory section or materials showing how to use them. Conclusions Currently, there is a lack of presentation or explanation of various types of abbreviated form of particles in Korean language textbooks. Accordingly, in this paper, we recognized the need for education on abbreviated form of particles that are actually frequently used by native Korean speakers. In order to teach abbreviated forms of particles frequently used in spoken Korean, a framework for educational content was proposed by analyzing web drama lines, which are actual data.

Kemampuan Menulis Drama Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Tasikmalaya

This research is research that aims to determine the ability to write drama scripts for class VIII K students at SMP Negeri 12 Tasikmalaya. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the source of the data obtained through observation and direct observation in the field. The data collection techniques used are observation and data assessment. The research results show that class VIII K students at SMP Negri 12 Tasikmalaya are in the good category with an average score of 84%.

Exploring collaborative scriptwriting and virtual drama performance: Enhancing English language education through technology integration

The present study elaborates on the process of collaborative scriptwriting for drama and the implementation of virtual platforms for theatrical performances. The qualitative design approach was used to provide a detailed explanation of how the virtual drama performance about The Spread of Islam in the 16th Century by Ratu Bagus Kuning was rehearsed and recorded. The subject of the study was 18 graduate school students who took the Appreciation and Literature Teaching course in a Graduate School of English Education at a state university in Indonesia. The data obtained from observation, interview, and documentation were analyzed by utilizing a thematic process. The result of the study reveals two main findings: it emphasizes innovative scriptwriting and video presentation in virtual educational drama, and it also shows the communication, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity involved in writing drama scripts and performing virtually. The study highlights the process of collaborative drama script writing, focusing on Palembang’s heroic tale of Ratu Bagus Kuning. Using the university’s LMS for dialogues, research, and creative collaboration, students prepared for a virtual drama performance. They paired up to draft scenes, actively applying 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking and creativity. Peer feedback and revisions improved script quality. Despite continuity issues and technical constraints, students showed resilience and adaptability. Rehearsals and the final virtual performance demonstrated their dedication and innovation. The integration of technology and cultural sensitivity highlighted virtual drama’s transformative potential, emphasizing communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.

Cultural Communication and Cross-Cultural Communication in Script Translation

As a kind of cross-cultural communication, translation is the information exchange between two different cultures. In cross-cultural translation, the translator should try to match the translated language and the translated language culture. The translator should not only pay attention to the meaning of the original text, but also pay attention to the cultural connotation of the target language, and achieve the organic combination of the two. To achieve this purpose, translators must take the source language as the starting point, and comprehensively restore the vocabulary, the sentence pattern, the structure, the emotion, and the way of thinking of the source language. When translating the original text, the cultural information contained in the source language should be integrated with the translation according to the characteristics of the translated language environment and the audience. From the perspective of the translation of the drama script, this paper discusses cultural exchange and cross-cultural exchange, hoping to be helpful to the peers.

Analisis Psikologi Sastra dalam Naskah Drama dan Relevansinya dengan Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

This research aims to analyze the psychology of literature contained in the drama Penambang Emas by Budi Riswandi. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and analysis techniques for psychology aspects of literature to analyze the drama script. The data used is the drama script Penambang Emas by Budi Riswandi. Data were analyzed using a literary psychology approach. By using a psychology approach, readers can understand the inner conflict contained in literary works. The results of the research show that the drama script has 12 data, namely id totaling 4 data, ego totaling 4 data, and super ego totaling 4 data.

Analisis Naskah Drama "La Tagdhob" Karya Azis W. Adhirawa dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Struktural

Literary works are expressions of human thoughts and feelings expressed in writing with the power of language. Drama, as a literary genre, depicts life through staged dialogue. This research aims to analyze the drama script "La Tagdhob" by Azis W. Adhirawa using a structural approach to understand its intrinsic elements. The structuralism approach, pioneered by R. Jacobson and Ferdinand de Saussure, examines the relationships between elements in literary works to understand their meaning as a whole. Although effective in in-depth analysis, this approach ignores external context such as the author's social and cultural background. This research uses descriptive research to show that the structuralism approach is effective in identifying elements such as theme, plot, characters, setting and message, as well as emphasizing the importance of the unity of intrinsic elements. Previous research supports this approach as a systematic method in the analysis of literary works.

Analisis Struktural pada Naskah Drama “Badai Sepanjang Malam” Karya Max Arifin

This research examines the drama script "Storm Throughout the Night" by Max Arifin with a structural approach. This drama raises the main theme of the conflict between idealism and reality in everyday life, especially regarding environmental changes from cities to villages. Through analysis of intrinsic elements such as theme, characters, plot, setting, language style, and message, it was found that the main characters, Jamil and Saenah, face inner conflicts between expectations and reality as well as personal values ​​and social pressure. The storyline depicts their emotional and mental journey in adapting to a new environment and searching for identity. This research shows the importance of maintaining loyalty to idealistic values ​​and the importance of dialogue and interaction in facing social challenges. A structural approach helps reveal the relationships between elements in a drama text, providing a deeper understanding of the meaning and message of this literary work.

Drama in the Science Classroom: Reimagining the Teaching of Natural and Life Sciences

The low levels of interest by students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-related subjects and work is a challenge that needs to be resolved. And research has shown that arts-based, participatory, and humanistic methodologies-when integrated with the teaching of STEM subjects-have the potential to stimulate student interest, facilitate epistemological access, and hence, improve performance. Thus, in this self-study research paper, two science teacher educators share and reflect on their observations and experiences of using an arts-based teaching methodology (drama) in teaching science concepts and socio-scientific issues to pre-service teachers training to be high school teachers. Drama activities were used to teach the concepts of diffusion, DNA structure, meiosis, and a socio-scientific issue associated with albinism in African communities. Data were collected through the development of drama scripts, journaling observations, reflections, and discussions with a critical friend. Insights from the study show that the integration of drama into the science classroom creates opportunities for social interaction, for recognising students' active participation in their own learning, for power sharing, and for promoting engagement (cognitive, affective, and physical) that leads to the construction of new knowledge. In addition, drama pedagogy humanises science subject matter by showing its relevance and catering for varied learning styles. And drama ignites enthusiasm in students by invoking their innate sense of wonder. Consequently, adopting a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) approach to teaching STEM subjects enriches epistemological access to scientific disciplines because such unconventional pedagogical strategies humanise abstract concepts, thereby increasing the likelihood of student success in these fields. There is, however, a need for heightened alertness in the teacher in order to pick up any misunderstandings and misconceptions about the science concepts that may manifest in the drama presentations.

Analisis Alur Naskah Drama Nilam Binti Malin Karya Karta Kusumah

This study aims to analyze the plot of the drama script "Nilam binti Malin" by Karta Kusumah which is seen from the overall development of the plot. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical methods. This research instrument is the researcher himself as the main instrument, data collection is carried out through the stages of literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps in analyzing data are collecting data, describing the data, analyzing, and making conclusions. The results showed that the plot of the drama Nilam bint Malin used Henshaw's Montage theory, namely Exposition, Generating Circumstance, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, and Cata Strophe. The exposition introduces the character of Nilam, Malin's daughter, as well as other figures such as Malin, Mandeh, Warga, Kru Kapal, and Tukang Kaba. The flow of events began to move right when Patchouli arrived at Air manis Beach and began to know about problems in the village. Until the part where the situation began to heat up where Nilam began to know the problems that existed in Air Manis village and Nilam knew what was the reason behind her father who was petrified on the beach.

중국인 한국어 학습자의 평서형 종결어미 ‘-더라’의 사용 양상 연구

This paper attempted to clarify the errors that Chinese learners generally make in the use of the Korean colloquial ending word ‘-the ra’ and the difficulty of using it. For this, we first explored the main aspects of errors common to Chinese Korean learners by doing some survey, focusing on the semantic function of ‘-the ra’. In addition, by collecting sentences in which ‘-the ra’ appears in Korean drama scripts and comparing them with Chinese translations, we tried to find the difference between ‘-the ra’ and Chinese corresponding expressions. According to the results of the survey, it was found that learners prefer to use grammar with less cognitive burden meaningfully such as ‘았/었/였-’ and lack understanding of the modal characterisitics of ‘-the ra’. To find out the native language perception of ’-the ra’ among Chineese learners, we collected and analyzed scripts of Korean dramas ‘Bad Mom’ and ‘The Glory’ and Chinese translations. As a result of the analysis, it was found that direcy evidence can be interpreted as ‘看见/看到，亲自，过， 了’, and when it indicates the speaker’s psychological state, it can be summarized as a Chinese expression ‘觉得/感到’, and it can be interpreted as ‘竟然’and ‘发现’ as expressions of admiration. Sentences containing Chinese-corresponding expressions of ‘-the ra’ have found few grammatical constraints, while Chinese learners find it difficult to grasp the exact meaning function and grammatical constraints of ‘-the ra’.

The problem in this study is how the defense mechanism of the character Colonel Kalawa in the drama script of Our Beloved President by Agus Noor based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis study. The purpose of this study was to determine the defense mechanism of the character Colonel Kalawa in the drama script of Our Beloved President by Agus Noor based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis study. The theory used in this study is Sigmund Freud's defense mechanism. This research is qualitative. The source of data in this study is Agus Noor's beloved drama script President Kita. The data collection methods used are library methods, and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis conducted on the drama script of our Beloved President, it can be concluded that the character of Colonel Kalawa in the drama script of our Beloved President has 6 defense mechanisms based on the psychoanalytical perspective of Sigmudn Freud. The results of data analysis in this study, it can be known various defense mechanisms of Colonel Kalawa's figure, namely there are 3 data regarding the concept of repression defense that arises in the form of symbolization. There are 2 data included in the defense of sublimation in the form of self-adjustment and attitude change. Then there are 7 data on the concept of projection defense in the form of blaming others. Furthermore, there is 1 data regarding the defense of the diversion in the form of finding vent. Furthermore, there are 8 rationalization self-defense data in the form of seeking justification. As well as the last there are 6 data that belong to the defense of aggression and apathy in the form of anger and anxiety.

Childhood Character Building in Drama Script Mencari Taman by Noorca M. Massardi : A Literary Psychology Approach

Pembentukan Karakter pada anak adalah hal yang penting untuk membuat anak mempunyai karakteristik dan kepribadian yang baik. Karakteristik tiap anak juga tidak kalah penting dan wajib dipahami oleh orang tua agar bisa mendidik anak dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pembentukan karakter anak dalam naskah drama Mencari Taman. Pengkajian naskah drama Mencari Taman ini menggunakan pendekatan Psikologi Sastra, yaitu melalui pemahaman teori-teori psikologi yangdigunakan untuk menganalisis suatu karya sastra dan meneliti pembentukan karakter yang ada di dalam naskah drama tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode konten analisis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian karya sastra melalui analisis data yang dikumpulkan dengan metode pencatatan dokumen dan analisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, terdapat beberapa nilai yang membentuk karakteristik anak di dalam naskah drama Mencari Taman karya Noorca M. Massardi, yaitu nilai kedisiplinan, kemanusiaan, kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, kasih sayang, religus, dan akhlak yang mulia.

A COLLECTION OF JAMBI TRADITIONAL GAMES AS A PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN PLAYWRITING

The research departs from the rich collections contained in the Siginjei Museum, Jambi Province, where one of the collection groups is a variety of traditional children's games in Jambi Province. Based on this, the collection of traditional children's games at the Siginjei Museum, Jambi Province, was then used as a project source for the playwriting course at the Dance and Music Drama Arts Study Program at Jambi University. The research method applied in this research activity is qualitative research using observation and literature review techniques. The results obtained from research activities are in the form of drama scripts that were successfully created by students from the collection of traditional children's games at the Siginjei Museum, Jambi Province. The number of play scripts that were successfully created were four short children's play scripts entitled Ayu Congklak Dewi, Bedil Akbar (Meriam Bambu), Yang Lagi Viral (Gasingan Lampu), and Main Seru (Ketapel). The conclusion obtained is that the Project Based Learning learning model using the collection of traditional children's games at the Siginjei Museum, Jambi Province as a source of student project activities in creating play scripts has been successfully implemented to support the success of Play Writing courses.

Creative Writing Skills in English: Developing Student's Potential and Creativity

This research describes teaching creative writing skills in English to develop student's potential and creativity. This research is library research. The finding shows that creative writing is an innovative writing style that emphasizes narrative, character development, opinions, and non-formal language styles. It involves expressing ideas and imagination in various forms of fiction and nonfiction and requires the ability to build the reader's imagination and research skills such as poetry, short stories, novels, epics, short stories, fairy tales, drama scripts, film scenarios, song lyrics, television scripts, advertising scripts, popular articles, opinions, news, etc. It also attracts attention and entertains readers, requiring the author's ability to build the reader's imagination. Creative writing in English is a rewarding activity that increases students’ creativity, trains their imagination, and improves their English skills. To improve creative writing skills, students should read diverse literary works, practice regular writing, explore different language styles, use writing prompts, and accept feedback from friends or teachers. Mastering these skills in English can lead to self-expression, imagination, language and vocabulary improvement, and effectively conveying messages. Techniques to improve creative writing skills include reading diverse literary works, practicing regular writing, exploring different language styles, using writing prompts, and being open to feedback from friends or mentors.

Social Criticism and Morality in "Subversif!" Drama by Faiza Mardzoeki as Literature Teaching Materials

The overarching goal of education extends beyond the mere attainment of competencies and academic standards; it encompasses a broader responsibility to cultivate students' awareness of their societal roles, obligations, and rights. This research, undertaken with the specific focus on the drama script "Subversive!" by Faiza Mardzoeki, aims to elucidate the manifestations of social criticism and morality within this literary work. Employing a qualitative research approach, this study hinges on document analysis as its primary methodological framework. Qualitative research, distinguished by its departure from statistical procedures and quantitative calculations, relies on the exploration of assumptions, broad perspectives, theoretical lenses, and a thorough examination of research problems. The research findings primarily unveil instances of social criticism embedded in political contexts and discernible moral dynamics between individuals. Notably, these insights derived from the drama script "Subversive!" serve as valuable material for the pedagogical realm, contributing to the understanding of literary texts in educational settings. This research contends that the implications of its findings extend to the realm of high school literature education, providing a foundation for educators to consider various aspects, types, and impacts of literary works. Translation strategies in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet translated drama script viewed from the romance perspective

Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare's most famous masterpieces, translated into many languages. This study's object is the drama script of Romeo and Juliet translated by Fatimah, Ifa Nabila, and Ratna Ofvilia (2018). In this study, the writers employed the descriptive qualitative approach to figure out the translation strategies used to translate the figurative language viewed from the romance aspects. The results revealed that the translators used six translation strategies: modulation, transposition, addition, subtraction, descriptive strategy, and literal translation. Besides, the writers also found 12 data of figurative language: five metaphors, four hyperboles, three personifications, one allusion, and one simile.

Satire: Sindiran Humor dalam Naskah Drama Arab

The Arabic drama "Mismaru Juha" by Ali Ahmad Bakatsir has the character Sheikh Juha that has a role by the humorous and wise. Critical of drama script expressed in stylistic satire, namely an expression of humorous allusion. The aim of this research is to determine the type of satire of drama script Mismaru Juha and its percentage. The method uses a descriptive-qualitative type of library research, with the focus of the study being the overall style of satirical language in drama texts Arabic of drama script Mismaru Juha. There are four stages of data analysis are organizing data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The result is the Arabic drama used satire style in the form of humor to give criticm based on norms society. The satire is three types are: (1) horatian satire (soft allusion and empathy) with 45%; (2) Juvenalian satire (allusion harsher than horizontal satire, direct criticism) with 25%; and (3) Manippean satire (allusion of narrative with stories or experiences that have occurred) with 30%. The type of satire that is more often used is horation satire that has humor, polite speech andnot rude words.
