The article analyzes applying of the categories of anonymity and subjectivity by the bands Die Tӧdliche Doris and The Residents, that dictate the images and semantics of their visual and audiovisual works. The specificity of the chosen subject stems from the unique borderline and not completely defined position of the bands perceived as art projects within rock culture. The issue of creative individuality in new art forms, as well as its manifestation and destruction, which still remains relevant, is refracted in the works and image-making strategies of Die Tӧdliche Doris and The Residents, giving rise to new forms at the intersection of contemporary art and popular genres of culture. Incorporating the methods of modern and avant-garde art into their creative concepts, the bands under consideration express their critical position regarding mass culture and its images in such forms as ready-mades, album covers, video works, actions and staging. Through the tactics of anonymization, self-deprecation and mystification, the bands build two types of the relationship between the individual and mass culture.

The system of comparisons in the works of Even poets

The article is devoted to the issue of the system of comparisons used in the language of Even poetry. The paper provides a list of means of expressing comparisons, distinguished from the positions of "subject", "predicate" and "argument". In order to develop a universal comprehensive model for studying the technique of poetic comparison as a component of the poet's style, we conducted observations on the language of poetic works by Even poets Nikolai Tarabukin, Platon Lamutsky, Andrei Krivoshapkin, Evdokia Bokova and Varvara Arkuk. The obtained material allows, first of all, to clarify the list of means of expressing poetic comparison. Analyzing the material on this topic, we came to the conclusion that comparisons help the poet convey the feeling and mood of the lyrical hero, create a poetic text mainly, such an approach performs such an important function as aesthetic. When classifying examples, we rely on the original Even language and the main research methods are semantic-stylistic, contextual, classification, and also use field methodology. The methodology uses the works of A.N. Veselovsky, A. A. Potebni, B. V. Tomashevsky. The novelty of this article is determined by the fact that Even poetry is one of the young literatures of the national literature of the Russian Federation. The means of enhancing the visual expressiveness of speech, the comparison used by the Even poets, reveal the art of the original culture of the Evens and the wonderful flair of the native Even language. Comparison is a universal cognitive structure where a person learns about the world around them. In Even poetry, the authors, revealing the picture of the world of the North and the Arctic, using a comparison, showed a special artistic perception. The North and the Arctic remain the space that was mastered by the northern peoples and they created a circumpolar culture where the world of people and nature are harmonious. In the poetry of the Even poets, we have identified some noteworthy comparisons that create their own special artistic poetic language.

In the article an attempt is made to trace the stages of development of the process of the Kypchak-Tatar – Turko-Seljuk Turkization and the beginning of the process of Asia Minor–Central Asian Islamization of the population of the peninsula and formation of artistic culture and decorative art of the Crimean Tatars during the formation of the foundations of the Crimean Tatar statehood in the Black Sea uluses of the Golden Horde.

The article systematizes the approaches to the study and presentation of Soviet art material in the post-Soviet period and gives a periodization of changes in these approaches. The author refers to the types of exhibition recycling of Soviet art, mainly in the practice of the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and the Central Exhibition Halls of Moscow and St. Petersburg. In general, two types of temporary exhibitions of Soviet material stand out: research exhibitions and attraction exhibitions. The purpose of research exhibitions is to introduce previously unknown or marginalized layers of artistic culture into scientific circulation and the public sphere. In relation to this work, these are research exhibitions of the Russian-Soviet avant-garde and artistic movements of the 1920s-1930s and non-conformism of the 1940s-1980s. The goals of attraction exhibitions (the proposed term is based on S. Eisenstein’s well-known method of “the montage of attractions”) are associated with the creation of an entertaining visual environment that affects the viewer, offering them ways of understanding the Soviet past ideologized in the Soviet style. The purpose of the article is also to show how the cultural policy of temporary exhibitions affects the re-expositions of the State Russian Museum and the State Tretyakov Gallery, that is, the formation of certain patterns or scenarios for the presentation of the art of the Soviet past.

The critical review of trends in modern sociological interpretations of the artistic culture problems in Western countries presented in this article is based on the analysis of scientific publications of the last two decades. It demonstrates the breadth of the subject field of the sociology of art, the diversity of the author’s concepts and trends in theoretical understanding of artistic life. Today, in the sociology of art, as in other social sciences, there is an obvious rejection of immutable truths and taboos, and the interpretation of empirical facts is often polemical. They increasingly reflect the personality of the author and their attitude to moral and ethical aspects that go beyond the framework of cultural life — social justice and inequality, racial, gender and other problems of modern society. The revision of axiological guidelines and the relativity of modern criteria of truth can give rise to doubts not only about the importance of the empirical study of artistic life, but also about the practical need for public support for art and even about the epistemological potential of science. The desire for absolute freedom of art from external influences, for universal equality in cultural consumption and social justice in the literal sense of the word, sometimes paradoxically turns into a denial of the humanistic essence of art and even leads to statements about the dangers of artistic culture for people. However, most scientists in the West still agree that in order to maintain the positive social role of art, we must continue the attempts to comprehend the challenges posed by the global trends of our time. In this regard, it is extremely important to find common ground for uniting the efforts of art-centric and empirical areas of the sociology of art.

The article provides a brief analysis of the process of the artistic development of Alexandru Grecu’s creative personality and the manifestation of his distinct directorial peculiarities in the performances: Ce e viaţa omului/ What is the life of a man, Moţoc, Hercules, Unde mergem, domnilor?/Where are we going, gentlemen?, Triunghiul păcatului/The triangle of sin, Moliere, Căsătorie cu de-a sila/Forced Marriage, Ciuleandra, Care-s sălbaticii?/ Who are the savages?, Metamorphoses I, Metamorphoses II, S.R.L, The Moldovan, the Master and Margarita. Examining the peculiarities of Alexandru Grecu’s direction, the author reveals the artistic message that identifies the interconnection and interdependence of public life and of each individual in a rapidly changing world. The article emphasizes the fact that, being a relevant component of the artistic culture of the era of postmodernism, the performances of Alexandru Grecu, as a distinct sociocultural phenomenon, reveal through the prism of a multidimensional theatrical action the essence of the phenomena of social life, basing its artistic approach on the dramatic material, its stage interpretation, the situation and the moment in which the stage creation is produced.

In this paper, we focus on San Sebastián, which was designated as the European Capital of Culture in 2016, to examine the social values pursued by the European Capital of Culture and its specific case. Through San Sebastián's goals and detailed projects as the European Capital of Culture, we can identify several key points.
 Firstly, San Sebastián addressed the issues of violence and conflict inherent in the city and also explored the coexistence issue, which is a concern across Europe, through cultural arts.
 Secondly, it is based on citizen participation. From the challenging stage of competing to be the European Capital of Culture to the preparation and implementation stages after being selected, citizens were actively involved, and they were encouraged to conceive and execute projects that benefit the citizens themselves.
 Thirdly, the scope of the project is not limited to San Sebastián but extends to the Basque region and even throughout Europe. Additionally, the European Capital of Culture program expanded not only city-to-city networking but also networking at the organizational level.

“Feeling of Kyrgyzstan”: the role of L.M. Mosolova in the formation and development of artistic culture of Kyrgyzstan

The article deals with the role of Prof. L.M. Mosolova in the formation and development of artistic culture of Kyrgyzstan. Born in Jeti-Oguz district of the Kyrgyz Republic, L.M. Mosolova worked in the Ministry of Culture of Soviet Kyrgyzstan as an editor of the art-expert board and an art historian at the difficult moment of establishment of the new socialist content in the socialist republics. While studying the history of fine arts of Kyrgyzstan, L.M. Mosolova wrote the most unexplored part of this history — the oldest and most ancient. In addition to many analytical articles and monographs, essays on painters, sculptors in the art history heritage of L.М. Mosolova, monumental works on the history of art of Kyrgyzstan play an important role. Among the art historians of the Kyrgyz Republic L.М. Mosolova occupies a special place, due to a peculiar combination of experience in teaching, teaching and methodological, art-critical, scientific activity and personal qualities and in it lives “the feeling of Kyrgyzstan”, which can not be achieved without love — even by labor.

This paper aims to explore the changes in the perception of Korea before and after the arrival of Chinese students who chose culture and art-related majors based on their affinity with Korean culture. Based on previous studies, the country image was divided into four areas: economy, politics and relations, nation, and culture. A deep interview survey was conducted and analyzed to examine the changes in the country image. The economy image changed from city image to consumption image, the politics and relations image changed from Korean understanding to Korean understanding, and the country image changed from social atmosphere perception such as organizational culture to cultural arts participation. These changes in country perception had an impact on the adaptation of Korean life, stress coping, stay and employment of Chinese students.

ISLAMIC PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR INCREASING GLOBAL COMPETENCE

The existence of Islamic private high schools (SMA) founded on foundations is constantly threatened by both public schools and the advancement of globalization currents. With such a big problem, private educational institutions must try to discover ways to survive and adapt accordingly in order to continue to exist. The method for reacting to these issues for private schools is unique, and it should be explored thoroughly so that it can serve as a model for other educational institutions. The study used qualitative methods and focused on five foundation-based Islamic private high schools in Demak, Central Java. Data is collected by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis using interactive models, including data reduction, data submission, and conclusions. According to the study's findings, (1) foundation-based Islamic private schools (SMA) employ a variety of strategies, including traditional strategies, modern strategies, and comprehensive student networks, such as free transportation and recruitment of outstanding students (academic, non-academic, and cultural arts achievements). (2) Demak private schools use marketing mix methods such as superior pricing, diverse products, market focus, long-term promotional activities, and online school programs.

The Work of Valeriy Miloserdov: Ukrainian Social Photography of the 1990s and 2000s in the Context of Contemporary Art Trends

The article is dedicated to the work of the outstanding Ukrainian photographer Valery Miloserdov, whose photo works and big photo projects, which he began to create since the 1980s, are today not only important documents of the time, but also entered the space of contemporary artistic culture, actualizing a wide the circle of the latest artistic issues, namely: the document as an artifact, social photography as cultural research, the place of documentary photography in contemporary art. The artist's work emphasizes the multi-meaning of the documentary photo in the modern cultural space, the importance of the author's point of view, which imbues it with individual perception, thus translating it into the realm of art, where photography is one of the most influential conceptual practices today.

Pendampingan Membaca dan Menulis Aksara Jawa di Madrasah Baitus Solihin Kajor Wetan Selopamioro Imogiri Bantul

Kajor Wetan Village is an area that has a lot of Javanese art. There is a lot of cultural art here that continues to be preserved. One of the most basic things in culture is language. Java has its own unique script or letters, namely the Javanese script. Currently, many children are reluctant to learn about Javanese script. This is due to a lack of interest in learning Javanese script, this is of course a problem. Baitus Solihin Madrasah is the only madrasah in Kajor Wetan village. This madrasah is a gathering place for children in Kajor Wetan village. The assistance activity for reading and writing Javanese script aims to provide madrasah students with an understanding of local culture to strengthen religious teaching values and add cultural values in Kajor Wetan. This mentoring activity is divided into 3 parts over 2 days. The first day contains an explanation of the basics of Javanese script and practice reading Javanese script. The second day was filled with learning games and competitions in reading Javanese characters. In general, this mentoring activity has provided additional knowledge to madrasah students regarding Javanese script and has been able to add value to Kajor Wetan village as an arts village.

Cultural Crisis, Deteriorating Heritage, and Placemaking: A Study of Rural West Bengal, India

‘Culture’ denotes the co-shared beliefs, values, ethos, norms, lifeworlds, and activities commonly represent nature-culture reciprocity. In several remote areas of India, folk culture still breaths within its age-old life world. Against this backdrop, the southwestern part of West Bengal, also known as ‘Jangal Mahal’ has been studied in the present research. In this area, approximately 40% of the population directly depends on indigenous sources of livelihood, and they belong to tribal communities like Mahato, Kurmi, Lodha, Santal, Bauri, and others. These native people are culturally distinct and are identified through their folksongs and dance forms, such as Tusu, Kirtan, Baul, Bhadu, and folk dances, such as Chhau, Khati, etc. However, urban spaces and citizens’ choices for entertainment have brought about considerable changes in the culture and life of these people. Resultantly, with the increasing pace, deterioration in the heritage and culture of such groups seems to set in. Thus, this study highlights the changing scenarios of cultural crises, deteriorating heritage values, and placemaking. We have followed participatory methods, including field observation, interviews and group discussions. And a door-to-door survey was conducted in the 12 villages of four districts with a semi-structured survey schedule. Sixty troupes were selected for interview and Focused Group Discussions (FGDs). The findings show that values and cultural practices change over time, thereby losing their identity. The placemaking of popular culture results in a deep crisis in livelihood and lifestyle. People are slowly adopting other modes of earning, which further threaten their culture. This study aims to suggest suitable ameliorative measures to preserve the pristine cultural art forms and safeguard livelihood and skill sets.

ANALYSIS OF THE GUITAR MUSIC LEARNING OF BEGINNER USING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING

This present study aims at exploring the implementation of Beginner Guitar Music Learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research focuses on understanding how the Problem Based Learning model is employed in the context of learning beginner guitar music. The qualitative method with a pedagogical approach was employed for data collection, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that, in the preparatory phase for implementing music learning activities at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano, comprehensive planning is essential. This involves developing semester programs, syllabuses, lesson plans, learning media, and teaching materials. Moreover, the cultural arts (music) teachers conduct a thorough assessment of each student's abilities, considering their interests, needs, and profiles. This information aids in tailoring the learning process to accommodate different learning styles. The study contributes valuable insights into the practical application of the Problem Based Learning model in the domain of beginner guitar music education.

THE ROLE OF BATHORO KATONG IN SPREADING ISLAM IN PONOROGO

The thesis entitled The Role of Bathoro Katong dalam Spreading Islam di Ponorogo has three focuses, namely: (1) the origin of Bathoro Katong, the figure of the spread of Islam in Ponorogo; (2) the role of Bathoro Katong in the spread of Islam in Ponorogo; and (3) the conditions before and after Islam entered Ponorogo. The method used in this study is with a literature approach (literatur review), this method is a research using library sources both from research results and books. In literature research, researchers do not have to go directly to the field, because the object of research is libraries (books), documents, archives, and so on. This study consists of four stages, namely: heuristics, verification / criticism of sources, interpretation, and writing history or historiography. From the results of this study, it was concluded that: (1) Bathoro Katong was the son of Brawijaya V from his wife, Princess Bagelan. (2) Bathoro Katong in Islamizing in Ponorogo assisted by Ki Ageng Mirah and Selo Aji, strtategi dahwah through cultural arts, education, marriage, politics and persuasive (while maintaining the value of old traditions). (3) Before Islam entered Ponorogo the community adhered to Hindu-Buddhist teachings, after the development of Islam, the old culture was adapted to Islamic norms.

Traditional Art in Minangkabau Culture

Minangkabau society adheres to philosophies as conceptions that are implied into its culture, one of which is the presence of art. Art in Minangkabau culture lives and develops with the passage of time and the creativity of the people is dynamic. This research is a type of qualitative research by observing the arts, especially those related to traditions in the culture of the Minangkabau people using the Hermeneutic approach and literature study. The research was conducted by observing the forms of Minangkabau traditional art, especially traditional music and its development in Minangkabau society. The results and discussion of this research include; forms of Minangkabau traditional art and art in Minangkabau culture.

Cultural Da'wah in The Millenial Era: Studi on Wayangaji Ki Miko Cakcoy

Islamic da'wah or Islamization on the island of Java was first carried out by the nine saints called walisongo, among those who were phenomenal with Javanese culture such as wayang kulit was Sunan Kalijaga. The da'wah that was carried out was considered effective and efficient so that it was able to make Javanese people a Muslim majority, this was because the concept of da'wah which carried Javanese Sufism until it was adopted in the millennial era as carried out by Ki Miko Cakcoy. The nuances of local wisdom that are still maintained as glue between relationships between people in the current millennial era are the big homework of a da'I in society. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the cultural da'wah strategies carried out by Ki Miko Cakcoy in preaching in the midst of millennial modernity. The research method used in writing this article is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that cultural da'wah in the millennial era is needed so that it can become an adaptive da'wah model without diluting cultural arts values as a legacy of local wisdom. The hope is that in the future cultural da'wah by raising local wisdom still needs to be carried out by other millennial preachers so that future generations do not easily forget the history that existed.

Trial Analysis of the Encounter of Japanese and Korean Pop Culture in Local Variety Art from the Perspective of Cultural Integration TakeSisters Who Make Waves for Example

Since the 1980s, Japanese and Korean pop culture has been widely disseminated in China in the form of film and television productions. This created a wave of popularity among young people, and led to the formation of two typical Chinese youth subcultures that have had a great influence on television programmes to this day: the Ha-Japanese and the Ha-Korean subcultures. In the era of new media, both online and traditional programmes have emerged simultaneously, and most of the audiences favourite variety shows have left their mark only by virtue of their initial novelty, and have been quickly replaced by new programmes and faded into obscurity. However, the emergence of Ride the Wind 2023 seems to have broken the law of three seasons of decline for domestic variety shows. Taking Ride the Wind 2023 as an example, this paper adopts the methods of literature research, comparative research, questionnaire survey and case study to clarify the influence of Japanese and Korean popular culture in domestic variety arts. It explores the fit between variety arts and the ideological development of real society, the presentation effect of the programmes audiovisual content, and the way of localisation of the introduced variety arts. Attempts are made to find a feasible way to effectively achieve a good influence of world culture in Chinese localised variety arts. It also discusses the compatibility of variety arts with the ideological development of real society, the effect of audiovisual content presentation, and the way of localisation of variety arts in China.
