The retail trade of jewels in the State of Rio Grande do Sul is played by large groups, some multinationals and family businesses located within the State. In Passo Fundo, the optical company Lust, has been operating for 50 years and is the most remembered brand by population according to a survey of local marketing. Due to the instability of the market and the economic crisis set in the country from 2014, some assets have suffered price elevation, as in the case of gold, together with the high-dollar, put the company in a dilemma regarding the management of stocks and sales positioning. To obtain the data submitted was carried out an interview with the owner of the network Director Lust. The strategies proposed in the case of teaching are from an actual situation experienced by the company in recent times. Given this, the aim of this event is to provide teaching reflection and promote discussion on themes related to entrepreneurship, strategies, organizational positioning, inventory and financial management of the retail sector, whereas strategic decisions that managers must take in the company. The case has been developed for use in undergraduate courses in business administration, such as inventory management, strategic management and financial management.
