The article discusses the evolution of the concept of "customs administration," reveals its essence and significance for supporting and expanding foreign trade. The concept of customer centricity was considered as an important element in creating favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity and achieving the goals of the country's socio-economic development. The value of the organization's resource support is shown on the example of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in improving customs administration, an analysis of the state of public procurements as a key element of resource support was carried out, problematic issues of their practical implementation and ways to solve them were identified.

Economic paradigms, public ethics, socio-economic institutions: dynamics and relationships

The article studies the relationship between ethics and economics in the context of current system’s functioning of the most important social institutions. The purpose of the study is to theoretically analyze the relation between the economic and ethical structure of society and to develop recommendations for the practical application of the results ща designing a strategy for the country's socio-economic development. The research is based on the principles of the systems approach, space-time analysis and the methodology of systemic socio-economic theory. The structure of economic paradigms is compared to the structure of ethical paradigms. The conclusion is made about their mutual conditionality and influence on the type of social structure. The dual nature of the relationship between economics and ethics is substantiated. This duality is manifested in the separation of the subject of economics and ethics in systemic terms: if the economic subjects are the processes aimed at mastering the forces of nature, then the subjects of ethics are the processes aimed at improving the system of intra-societal relations. Economics in society is comprehensive, while ethics has the property of widespread penetration into the consciousness of economic subjects. The economic and ethical spheres all together determine the structure and functions of socio-economic space-time. Strengthening the institution of reputation contributes to the dissemination and consolidation of traditional values and raising the ethical level of society. It is necessary to represent it in the strategy of the country's socio-economic development along with target guidelines for economic dynamics, as well as the desired state of the spiritual sphere of the population and generally accepted principles of ethical behavior. The possibilities of applying ethical principles in solving the problems of location and development of productive forces in the country are explored.

Specific Effect of Innovation Factors on Socioeconomic Development of Countries in View of the Global Crisis

Although the coronavirus pandemic has now faded into the background, the global crisis caused by COVID-19 has had the most devastating impacts worldwide. Given the potential relapse of such unexpected and uncertain events, it is vital to specify the patterns thereof and develop proactive measures for the countries to acquire an advanced readiness to deal with the related incidents. The most infected countries faced an increase in business bankruptcies, unemployment and inflation rates, low production volumes, and a decline in Gross Domestic Product (GDP). To withstand such socioeconomic consequences, the countries had to employ a number of measures, with innovation development acceleration being one. This paper aims to assess the dependency of an increase in GDP and a decrease in inflation and unemployment rates on the country-level growth of innovation development according to such Global Innovation Index (GII) pillars as institutions, human capital and research, infrastructure, market sophistication, business sophistication, knowledge and technology outputs, and creative outputs. The conducted research analysis covered the period from 2019 to 2022 based on the data for the GII pillar development level and economic performance indicators for 20 countries from five socioeconomic models. Descriptive and comparative statistics as well as correlation and regression analysis were used to prove the innovation development to be a key driver in increasing GDP and reducing inflation. To increase the GDP value, special attention should be paid to such GII pillars as institutions and human capital and research, while infrastructure and human capital and research are the pillars to reduce the inflation rates.

Research on Factors Affecting Innovative Start-Up Intention of University Students in Vietnam

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship of personality traits, human capital, and the surrounding environment on the innovative start-up intention of university students, through the mediators of perceived desirability and risk-taking propensity. Using the SPSS 26 and AMOS 26 research tools, analysis techniques and hypotheses of the linear structural model were tested. The research data was collected through interviews with 1,046 university students in Vietnam. The research results show that factors related to personality traits, human capital, surrounding environment, perceived desirability, and risk-taking propensity have a positive direct and indirect impact on the innovative start-up intention of university students. This is a new finding in the context of Vietnam's socio-economic landscape. The research also reveals differences in the impact of these factors on the innovative start-up intention of students, between male and female groups, family backgrounds, and field of study. For the group with prior exposure to innovative entrepreneurship, social norms have a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention. The research results provide a basis for local authorities and universities to develop policy implications and management approaches to better support and enhance the innovative start-up intention of students, in order to contribute to the country's socio-economic development.

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO STIMULATING INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY

The article clarifies the principles of innovation management, taking into account participatory management as a new approach to project management. Based on an assessment of the current state and trends in the country's socio-economic development in the conditions of an innovative economy, a conceptual model for the formation and assessment of socio-economic development priorities has been developed. The conceptual provisions of the new paradigm of socio-economic development are revealed and justified. A set of theoretical provisions and practical tools for assessing the impact of innovative projects has been developed. The criticality of stakeholders in the management of innovation activities has been determined and assessed. A methodology and methods have been developed for integrating the management of innovation activities into the management system. A method is proposed for taking into account the influence of mutual risks and assessing changes in the cost part of the project taking into account risks based on determining the factors of interaction of innovative projects.

Transport in the tourist services sector in Poland during the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic

Transport plays an essential role in the country's socio-economic development, as it enables efficient functioning of individual sectors of the economy. It is a factor enhancing the development of many areas of life, including tourist travel. A characteristic feature of tourism is the movement of people to places of attractive value. Therefore, transport is necessary for its existence. The tourist industry has been severely affected by the spread of COVID-19. The crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic has weakened the condition of the tourist services sector and affected transport. The article aims to reveal the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the transport sector concerning changes in tourist transport passengers. Data on tourist traffic in Poland was used in this publication. It has been shown that the weakening of tourism significantly translated into changes in the number of passengers traveling. The decrease in the number of people transported mainly affected air and road transport; however, more minor differences were observed in transport based on rail, sea, and inland waterways. The decrease in the number of recorded tourist trips was reflected in the shares of individual transport modes in passenger transport. In response to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, travelers' preferences changed regarding their means of transport. Since mid-2021, tourism has been returning to the path of positive development, noticeable in domestic and foreign travel.

Application of Composite Frequency Data Analysis Model to Forecast the Growth of Vietnam's Coffee Exports

In recent years, mixed-frequency data analysis models have received much attention and application in the fields of economics and finance, especially in forecasting national macroeconomic indicators. However, in Vietnam, there are almost no studies applying these models. Vietnam is a country with a long-standing agricultural production background and the workforce mainly makes a living from farming. There are many types of Vietnamese agricultural products with high export value, bringing a significant source of foreign currency to the country. Coffee is Vietnam's main export product, a product that earns a lot of foreign currency, contributing to the country's socio-economic development. Therefore, applying models with mixed frequency data such as MIDAS to forecast coffee export growth is a promising new research direction.

Development of migration processes in the context of transformation of international relations

Introduction. The practical study of migration trends in the modern global economy and the increase in the movement of people has become a key area of research. This subject requires reliable theoretical and methodological support due to the rapid pace of change and the ever-changing socio-economic landscape, as well as the challenges of transforming global relations. In fact, migration processes have always been an integral part of international relations, but the conditions and context of their development are constantly changing. Transformations in international relations caused by political, economic, social, and environmental factors have a particular impact on the direction of migration processes. Therefore, it is necessary to reassess existing approaches to global migration policy, taking into account their impact on the socio-economic development of countries with different socio-economic systems. The purpose of the paper is to identify conceptually new approaches to migration processes and to reveal transformational processes in international economic relations. Results. Migration can be defined as the movement across international borders from or within a place of residence. Migration can be viewed from different perspectives, both in a positive sense (moving in search of a new job or better living conditions) and in a negative sense (fleeing political repression, conflict, violence, natural disasters or human rights violations). In principle, migration involves significant changes in the cultural structures of both the migrant and the host country. In the context of socio-economic instability, the model of the migration process development environment should be based on building the potential of intellectual, human and economic security, justifying the priorities of the national economy in the context of limited resources. Methodological assessments of the migration process environment should determine not only the level of pushing the population abroad and attracting migrants to the destination country, but also the optimal containment of labor and educational migration. Conclusion. The global arena is undergoing a process of transformation of international economic relations, which is caused by the approaching systemic crisis caused by capital overhang. This phenomenon affects every country in the world. In the process of global transformation, in order to maintain relations between countries, it is necessary to reform the migration system. It is important that migration policy is regulated at the international level, so that each state can control its population, labour market and support its economy. It also ensures the rights of foreign workers: working conditions, wages, social protection, and health insurance. The prospect of further research is a statistical analysis of the number of migrants and their impact on the economies of the host countries. This includes analysing the impact of migration on the labour market, economic growth and wealth distribution, socio-cultural impact, political implications, security aspects, and technological innovations.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ECO-TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ON THE EXAMPLE OF SPECIALLY PROTECTED NATURE AREAS OF RA IN THE CONTEXT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGIONS

The article explores various aspects of the potential for ecotourism development within Armenia's Specially Protected Nature Areas (SPNA’s). With growing global interest in sustainable travel practices, ecotourism presents a promising avenue for promoting conservation efforts while simultaneously providing socio-economic benefits to local communities. Armenia's SPNAs, characterized by their rich biodiversity and unique landscapes, offer an ideal setting for ecotourism initiatives, however, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited visitor facilities, insufficient marketing strategies and absence of data analytics hinder the realization of ecotourism potential in SPNA’s. By capitalizing on the natural and cultural assets of SPNAs and adopting sustainable tourism practices, Armenia has the opportunity to establish itself as a leading ecotourism destination in the region, attracting environmentally conscious travelers and contributing to the country's socio-economic development. The primary objective of the article is to assess the existing situation of the recent 5 years by providing respective data analysis, as well as highlight the gaps and opportunities, ultimately striving for a balanced and sustainable outcome both for affected communities and natural ecosystems.

The transfer of knowledge is critical for a company to expand and transform. Regarding a country's socioeconomic development, micro-enterprises are crucial for creating employment opportunities and reducing poverty. However, micro-enterprises ability to repay their debts is influenced by various factors, with saving literacy and knowledge transfer being essential components in enhancing their repayment capacity. To address the knowledge transfer gap, this study examined the factors affecting the ability of Malaysian micro-enterprises to repay their debts, including financial management, with data collected from 127 micro-enterprises in Klang Valley. The study utilized the PLS-SEM technique to analyze the data and test hypotheses to achieve research objectives, with the results showing that saving literacy and the role of knowledge transfer as a mediator positively impact micro-enterprises' ability to repay their debts. This article also provides recommendations for the growth of Malaysia's micro-enterprise sector and suggests the need for additional research in this area.

Emotional intelligence and job performance: A study of public sector management schools in Pakistan

In today’s dynamic world, higher education plays a vital role in the development of societies and in the socio-economic development of countries. In this context, many developed nations invest in the development of teaching faculty in the universities by improving their emotional intelligence and job performance. This research intends to construct a model for investigating the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and its key dimensions and job performance in public sector management schools of Pakistan. In Pakistan, there are 77 management schools with 1247 regular employees. The proposed model has one primary and four secondary hypotheses. In this proposed model, stratified random sample is employed. The teaching faculty is divided into 4 strata: professor, associate professor, assistant professor and lecturer. Data was collected from 305 randomly selected respondents from the target population through personally administered and officially emailed questionnaires in order to test the hypothesized model. In the study, regression model is employed using SPSS 2.1 software to test the hypotheses. Results shows positive and significant relationship of Emotional Intelligence with its four dimensions: Self-Emotion Appraisal, Other-Emotion Appraisal, Self-Emotion Regulation, and Other Emotion Regulation, with Job Performance. The research has addressed the existing gap on scarcity of research on Emotion Intelligence with its key dimensions, in the public sector universities and the management schools as a target population. Moreover, this research also has some limitations. The research findings have both theoretical and practical implications. In order to foster job performance, the study recommends the creation and promotion of an organizational environment wherein faculty members could share their workplace emotions with ease and interest. Lastly, suggestions for further research are provided.

Hydropower Development and Economic Growth in Nepal: Challenges and Prospects

Nepal is rich in water resources, and hydropower development has been a key issue for the country's socio-economic development. But, it needs to produce huge amounts of electricity to support economic activities and growth, though it faces challenges. The paper attempts to fill this gap by studying hydropower development in support of economic growth and overall development, and further discussing its challenges through a literature review analysis and Key Informant Interviews. Economically, Nepal has more than 42000 MW of hydropower generation capacity, but the present generation capacity is 2945 MW, though only below more than 50 percent of the total generation capacity works out in the dry season due to low water discharge and faces a deficiency of electricity. Nepal also imports electricity from India to fulfill domestic demands in the season. There is a gap in the demand and supply lines. Hydropower has become a de-facto reality in light of economic development and the production of hydropower is crucial as Nepal exported electricity of Rs.15.4 billion worth last year. However, this study shows that the prospect of hydropower development is optimistic, though, there are several challenges in terms of priorities of needy projects, investment, environment-forest-land policies, and governance aspects. If pragmatic policy, effective governance, and leadership interventions are adopted on time, challenges can be overcome.

CONTROL OF UNFINISHED BUILDING WORK BY THE COURT OF AUDITORS OF THE STATE OF TOCANTINS

Using the bibliographical method, this paper addresses the role of the state in guiding community life and the role of public policies in building the minimum conditions for the country's socio-economic development. To this end, it analyses the discussion of public finances and the public budget in the light of the paradigms of efficiency and social participation. It also discussed the deepening of the control network over public administration, especially with regard to external control. On this occasion, the modalities of auditing and the results they aim to achieve were discussed. Finally, using the documentary method, information was collected on the inspections of public works at state level carried out by the TCE/TO. The aim is to identify the main data collected so that, by evaluating the results obtained, possible improvements can be made in future inspections by Tocantins' external control body.

L’égalité d’accès à l’enseignement supérieur dans les universités marocaines : défis et stratégies

This article examines the challenges and potential strategies for ensuring equitable access to higher education in Moroccan universities. It addresses how these strategies can contribute to the country's socio-economic development by improving inclusion. The first part identifies the main challenges faced by Moroccan universities, including regional disparities, funding, and socio-cultural barriers to education. The second part proposes improvement strategies such as increasing investments in educational infrastructure, implementing inclusive policies, and adopting modern educational technologies. The third part assesses the potential impact of these strategies on Morocco's socio-economic development, focusing on promoting educational equity and excellence. The discussions and results underscore the importance of inclusive and adapted educational policies to foster a more equitable and prosperous Moroccan society. This study contributes to the literature on higher education in Morocco and offers perspectives for future research.

TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUNG HUMAN FACTOR IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION OF THE WORKFORCE

International migration of the workforce has become a global challenge and is constantly in the spotlight of the world community. Since ancient times, humanity has been on the move. Some people move in search of jobs or economic opportunities, others to join family or to study. Others migrate in response to the negative effects of climate change, natural disasters or environmental factors. Among migration phenomena, an essential role is held by the migration of the young human factor. Today, it is estimated that the number of young people, i.e. people aged between 15 and 24, is around 1.3 billion and account for 15.5 per cent of the global population. (UN, 2020). Migration in general, and that of young people in particular, is one of the current challenges for the developing countries, including the Republic of Moldova. The increasing migration of young people concerns the authorities and civil society, given its effects on the country's human potential and socio-economic development. In this article we aim to study the current trends of the migration process, in particular to address the motivation of young people in Moldova to migrate in order to study abroad.

The scientific standing of nations and its relationship with economic competitiveness.

In the current knowledge-based economy, the abilities of the national research system are a key driver of the country's competitiveness and socio-economic development. This paper compares the scientific standing of the OECD countries and eight other relevant economies. We use a bibliometric indicator of research performance, applied first at the individual level. This approach avoids the distortions of the aggregate-level analyses extant in literature and practice, which overlook the different publication intensities across research fields. We find a strong correlation between research performance and the economic competitiveness of nations and a moderate but significant correlation between research performance and the propensity to spend on research.

Migration mobility of the population of South Asiа: On the example of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan

The countries of South Asia are among the most densely populated on the planet. Active migration processes are observed in the region, which have an impact on the socio-economic development of countries. The statistical data and reports of the International Organization for Migration of the United Nations served as an empirical basis for studying the migration mobility of the population of the countries of South Asia. The study is based on information on the structure of emigration and immigration of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan in absolute and relative terms. For greater clarity, a cartographic method was used: author’s maps were created that reflect the specifics of migration processes in the countries of South Asia in terms of absolute and relative indicators. The scientific base concerning economic and social development of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan is systematized. The study revealed the specifics of migration flows in the countries of the region on the basis of statistical information on the emigration and immigration of citizens, calculated in absolute and relative terms. The factors influencing the migration mobility of the population are revealed. A retrospective analysis of migration processes in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan was carried out to identify similar and different features in their history that continue to influence the current migration processes taking place in the region. The reasons for the popularity of India among migrants from neighboring countries of South Asia are substantiated. The influence of the heritage of British India on modern interstate processes in South Asia is shown. The differentiation of intraregional and interregional migration flows in South Asia is analyzed. An assessment is made of the impact of migration processes on the socio-economic development of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The characteristics of the current features in the migration situation in the countries of South Asia are formulated.

Analysis of Migrational Trends in the Context of Formation of Georgian Labor Market and Economic Development

Georgia's participation in global migration processes has increased substantially in recent years. The significance of migration in the socioeconomic, cultural, political, and demographic aspects of the nation is growing. Effective migration management is one of the prerequisites for assuring the security and long-term stability of the nation. It is also an essential tool for reapprochement with the European Union and contributes to the country's socioeconomic development by maximizing the potential of migration. For this reason, proper planning of migration policy and continuous development of its management effectiveness is one of the Government of Georgia's top priorities, and its study is even more pertinent at the present time. The purpose of the study is to analyze migrational trends within the context of the formation of Georgian labor market and the growth of the economy, as well as to determine future prospects. Based on the purpose of the research, the main research objectives and hypotheses can be formulated as follows: 1. Analysis of migrational trends; 2. Characterization of the causes of migration; 3 Assessment of the impact of migration on the formation of the Georgian labor market and the development of the economy. The methodological foundation of the work is economic science research; Georgian and foreign language scientific articles, papers, and studies are used; and the research material is founded on National Statistics Service data. In the research, qualitative and statistical methodologies are employed. This research focuses primarily on data acquisition, comparison, evaluation, and analysis. Finally, the results and conclusions of the research can be used in higher education institutions as a guide material, and it will significantly help various institutions in working out the adequate issues of defining and realizing the country's economic development course. Hurdles to handicraft marketing for artisan entrepreneurs in an emerging economy

PurposeCrafts embody the history and heritage of their country of origin and can play an essential role in the country's socioeconomic development by providing significant job opportunities for the rural population. This article investigates the significant challenges that artisan entrepreneurs face when creating, communicating and selling handcrafted goods to potential customers in emerging economies. This study attempted to rate the impediments based on their severity using the voices of artisan entrepreneurs.Design/methodology/approachA mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative data analysis was followed to identify the leading causes of the artisans' pain points. In the first phase, empirical observations were gathered through focus group discussions with artisan entrepreneurs, and the identified factors were quantitatively ranked using the analytic hierarchy process in the second phase.FindingsThe mixed-method research assisted in identifying the primary constraints affecting the efficient and effective operation of the artisan-driven small handicraft business. This study identified six factors that were ranked based on the voices of artisan entrepreneurs during the survey, as barriers to effective handicraft marketing.Originality/valueFew studies on the handcraft industry have sought to explore the issues faced by artisan businesses holistically. The voices of artisan entrepreneurs were gathered for this study to identify and rate the present obstacles influencing the functioning of small handicraft firms in emerging nations. Handicraft marketing will become more effective and efficient if these barriers are removed.
