Research on the Institutional Mechanism of Promoting Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Innovation

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation is an advanced stage of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative development, and is an important manifestation and core force of regional collaborative development in the new era. Under the new situation, with the deepening of the national innovation-driven development strategy, promoting the formation of a collaborative innovation community and building a collaborative innovation mechanism have become the key initiatives to promote the high-quality collaborative development of Beijing-TianjinHebei in the new era. This paper firstly discusses the status quo, development significance and problems of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation, clarifies the top-level logical structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation mechanism, so as to further clarify the goal, structure and operation mechanism of constructing Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation community,and puts forward the corresponding policy suggestions to optimize the development path of promoting Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation, so as to provide a reference for further enhancing the level of collaborative innovation in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and pushing the development of collaborative innovation to a higher level. The development of collaborative innovation in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei will be pushed to a higher level and achieve common prosperity.

Collaborative Innovation in Construction Supply Chain under Digital Construction: Evolutionary Game Analysis Based on Prospect Theory

In the context of Digital Construction (DC), collaborative innovation in the construction supply chain (CSC) is crucial for long-term competitiveness. However, transparent information flows and fickle market circumstances hinder enterprises from actively participating in collaborative innovation, making it challenging to establish effective incentive mechanisms. To achieve sustained and stable collaborative innovation, an evolutionary game model of collaborative innovation between core enterprises and member enterprises in the CSC under DC based on Prospect Theory is constructed. Five equilibrium scenarios and evolutionary stability strategies are analyzed, and the corresponding stability conditions are obtained. Finally, the impact of different parameters on strategy selection are analyzed by numerical simulation. The results indicate that the balance between knowledge sharing and knowledge leakage is the premise of the positive impact of DC technology on collaborative innovation. Moreover, the adjustment of gain sensitivity and loss sensitivity is the key to enhancing managerial enthusiasm for collaborative innovation. Furthermore, the design of income distribution and innovation incentives must adhere to the reciprocity principle, while subsidies from owners demonstrate a prominent positive impact on collaborative innovation. This paper systematically expounds the dynamic influence of DC technology application, knowledge spillover effects, and managerial cognitive structures while confirming the intrinsic effect of innovation incentive mechanisms. It provides substantial theoretical reference and management enlightenment for promoting the development of collaborative innovation in the CSC under DC.

Stakeholder diversity and collaborative innovation: Integrating the resource-based view with stakeholder theory

This paper uses Stakeholder Theory to build on the Resource-Based View (RBV) of the firm – and its extension, the Knowledge-Based View (KBV) – and theoretically and empirically assesses how a choice of stakeholders with a diverse set of interests and motives affects the development of collaborative innovation. Theoretically, the paper discusses how collaborating with stakeholders with diverse motives and interests affects the development of diverse types of innovations; and whether and how a focal organisation's access to diverse information sources may influence the behaviour of different types of collaborators. The empirical analysis is based on Spanish Technological Innovation Panel (2015–2016) data. The results show that collaborations with secondary (primary) stakeholders are typically associated with the likelihood of developing eco-innovations (product and process innovations) and increased demand for skilled workers. We also find that access to diverse information sources is associated with the likelihood of collaborating with primary stakeholders only.

Evolutionary Game and Simulation Analysis of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry With Cross-Border Collaborative Innovation

The Made in China 2025 national strategy has prioritized intelligent connected vehicles (ICV) to realize the intelligence and connection transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry, ushering in unprecedented development opportunities. There are two technology paths in the ICV industry: single-vehicle intelligence and vehicle-infrastructure collaboration. Both face problem of low technological innovation efficiency, and key to solving it is breaking down barriers between enterprises and realizing cross-border collaborative innovation. This study offers a new cross-border collaborative innovation development paradigm for the ICV industry, centered on automotive enterprises and technology platform providers. This study examines the impact of changes in key parameters on the evolutionary results using the system dynamics method to analyze the efficiency of cross-border collaborative innovation in the ICV industry. The simulation results showed that cross-border collaborative innovation is inevitable for the ICV industry. Furthermore, compared to the single-vehicle intelligence scenario, the vehicle-infrastructure collaboration scenario shows faster convergence between automotive enterprises and technology platform providers. Finally, the choice of system collaborative innovation strategy is influenced by default cost and the collaborative innovation risk coefficient, whereas the cost-sharing coefficient and network connection fee only have an impact on the cross-border collaborative innovation system’s rate of evolution in the ICV industry.

The driving effect of energy efficiency change: From the perspective of collaborative innovation development pattern

Energy efficiency enhancement and carbon reduction are essential means by which to promote carbon neutralization. However, is the constant pursuit of improving energy efficiency always conducive to urban development? The collaborative innovation development pattern has become the focus of regional competition. Thus, this paper establishes a new paradigm for analyzing the driving effect of energy efficiency change from the perspective of collaborative innovation development pattern. Using panel data from cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration in China from 2009 to 2019, the DEA-Malmquist and projection pursuit models calculate the energy efficiency change and collaborative innovation city construction level. Then, we use the Tobit model to analyze the reverse forcing effect of energy efficiency change on collaborative innovation city construction level from the dual perspectives of energy efficiency changes at different levels and geographical locations. The results show that the driving effect of energy efficiency change is U-shaped. In addition, there are some city differences, and the U-shaped relationship only exists in high-efficiency cities, the Wuhan Metropolitan Area and the Poyang Urban Agglomeration. This paper also finds that industrial structure, government interaction, development level, and population density impact collaborative innovation development pattern. Finally, these findings provide policy-makers with new ideas to promote sustainable urban development.

Data-driven Regional Defense Technology Collaborative Innovation Visualization Research of The Development Situation

Innovation-driven development strategy as China's national strategy, it is of strategic significance for China to form a new international competitive advantage and enhance the long-term driving force for development. This paper constructs an index system the for the evaluation of regional defense technology collaborative innovation , with eight innovation reform experimental area and cities and states as a research object, using big data technology and methods to collect index data online, and at the same time based on AHP level comprehensive evaluation and the "normalization" processing methods of network search heat value, to conduct an in-depth analysis of the development trend of national defense and national defense science and technology collaborative innovation in the region, and form a visual image display. Research results show that: in the process of coordinated development of regional defense science and technology, the pilot zone for innovation and reform in urban areas, including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, ChengDeMian and other aeras, are enjoying good momentum of collaborative innovation in defense science and technology. Chengdu, Mianyang and other urban defense science and technology collaborative innovation development trend is good, which provides data support for the regional defense science and technology collaborative innovation research and promote the in-depth development of defense science and technology collaborative innovation.

Digital Finance and Collaborative Innovation: Case Study of the Yangtze River Delta, China

The development of China’s digital finance provides new ideas for solving the financial constraints faced by some collaborative innovation activities in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). Therefore, based on the panel data of 41 cities in the YRD from 2011 to 2020, this study empirically tests the impact and transmission mechanisms of digital finance on collaborative innovation through GMM and a dynamic mediation model. The results show that in the YRD region, digital finance significantly stimulates collaborative innovation, but the effect of the decomposition index varies. The effect of depth of use is the strongest, followed by breadth of coverage and degree of digitization. In terms of the transmission mechanism, digital finance can increase the scale of credit, social consumption, and industrial upgrading to form a positive local effect. It can also improve the development of collaborative innovation, and lead to a spillover effect through the flow of R&D capital and R&D personnel. The conclusion indicates that it is necessary to stimulate the digital transformation in the financial field, giving full play to liquidity, facilitating the upgrading of credits, consumption, and industries. This study enriches the theoretical framework of digital finance and collaborative innovation. Moreover, the empirical test provides data and evidence for the construction of a world-class science and technology innovation center in the YRD. The paper also presents limitations, including the influence of factors such as urban heterogeneity and financial supervision, worthy of further research.

Research on Mechanism of Building Synergistic Competitive Advantages of Industries in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is positioned as the most active bay with a high technological level and the strongest innovation capabilities in the global market. As the cities in the Greater Bay Area are pursuing the integration of management, technology, and enterprise innovation, and emphasizing the development of collaborative innovation, it is important at present to effectively promote the high-quality development of the regional economy and industry. Thus, we apply the basic concepts of industrial theories in the methods of research and summarize four aspects to explore the research topic. We find that leading companies need to be given the responsibility of building an industrial ecosystem and realizing self-evolution through digital transformation in creating a niche for disruptive innovation and development. Furthermore, enterprises need to form industrial chain clusters through the extensional development method of investment and M&A. In addition, enterprises need to build a new industrial aircraft carrier through collaborative competition to realize the expansion of the industrial ecology of the Greater Bay Area in the future.

Research on Dynamic Design of Ideological and Political Education Based on Intelligent Algorithm

The digital civilization of human-computer coexistence has become a reality, thanks to the intelligent era. The widespread application of artificial intelligence technology in education has paved a new road for the collaborative and innovative development of ideological and political science teachers in universities and schools. In response to the problems of irregular, unprofessional, and unified resource sharing channels, duplicated, inverted, and disconnected teaching contents, and uncoordinated, insufficient, and unbalanced scientific research linkages in the integration process of university and college civics courses, the B/S three-layer architecture framework is used to build a university and college civics course teachers’ collaborative innovation platform that supports both PC and cell phone use by using jQuery, my structured query language (MySQL), hypertext preprocessor (PHP), juvenile sex offender assessment protocol (J-SOAP) crawlers, and other technologies. Teachers of civics courses can use the platform as a collaborative innovation tool. The goal of integrating resources, teaching, and scientific research of university and college civics courses is achieved, and the collaborative innovation development of university and college Civics teachers is promoted from theory to practice, thanks to the development of three major functions of the platform, namely, resource sharing, scientific research exchange, and teaching mutual assistance.

Study on Measurement of Collaborative Innovation Development of Electronic and Communication Equipment Manufacturing Industry and Its Influencing Factors in Yangtze River Delta

Collaborative innovation is a new paradigm of innovation and development. It promotes the integration of complementary resources and improves the innovation ability by playing the national will. Electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry is the foundation and core industry of modern information technology, which is the pillar industry of our country. It plays the role of economic multiplier in every application field by supporting the development of other industries. Among them, the Yangtze River Delta is the leader of China’s electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry, accounting for half of the country’s industrial scale. Therefore, this research takes the electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta region as the research object, based on the research results of domestic and foreign scholars, and the shortcomings of previous studies as the breakthrough point, and uses the literature analysis method and empirical analysis method to analyze its collaborative innovation. First of all, this research makes a quantitative analysis of the innovation status of the electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta from the perspective of innovation input and output. Then, according to the relevant data of the Yangtze River Delta’s electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry from 2011 to 2019, the order degree of the innovation subsystem and the coordination degree of the whole innovation system of the Yangtze River Delta’s electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry are calculated by using the composite system coordination degree model, and these are taken as the explained variables; This research analyzes the influence of government, market, innovation and economy on the development of collaborative innovation, uses unit root test, co-integration test and other methods to test the index data, and makes regression analysis. Finally, the research summarizes the current situation, the measurement of synergy degree and the analysis of the influencing factors, and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.

Research on the Construction of Innovation Ecosystem for Key Core Technologies Breakthrough

With the in-depth development of a new round of scientific and technological revolution, China is moving towards a new economic development era with scientific and technological innovation as the core driving force. How to accelerate the accumulation of more innovative resources, improve the ability of independent innovation and master key core technologies is crucial for enterprises. From the perspective of innovation ecosystem, the innovation ecosystem oriented to key core technology breakthrough is constructed by analyzing the constraints of key core technology breakthrough, relevant elements in the system and the correlation between elements. First of all, taking the integrated circuit industry as an example, by analyzing the constraints of tackling key core technologies, it is concluded that it is necessary for enterprises to establish their own ecosphere; Secondly, by analogy with the natural ecosystem, the main elements of the innovation ecosystem are obtained and the correlation between the elements is analyzed. Finally, based on the above analysis, build an innovation ecosystem for tackling key core technologies and promote the deep integration and collaborative innovation development between the main bodies.

CI-Block: A Blockchain System for Information Management of Collaborative Innovation

Blockchain technology ensures the security of cross-organizational data sharing in the process of collaborative innovation. It drives the development of collaborative innovation in discrete manufacturing to intelligent innovation. However, collaborative innovation is a multi-role, networked, and open resource-sharing process. Therefore, it is easy to form information barriers and increase the risk of cooperation between organizations. In this paper, we firstly analyze the blockchain-based information management models in the traditional discrete manufacturing collaborative innovation process. Then, we found that in the process of industry-university-research (IUR) collaborative innovation, consensus servers maintain too many connections due to the high latency between them, which leads to lower consensus performance and efficiency. To solve this problem, we proposed the ependency nalysis (DA) model, which separates and assembles transactional data and non-transactional data into different blocks by analyzing read_set and write_set of transactions. Besides, we propose the ut-of-rder (OORaft) model to allow non-transactional blocks to be copied in parallel, which can also prioritize transactional blocks. Finally, we implement the blockchain model in the discrete manufacturing scenario based on Hyperledger Fabric. The experimental results show that our model improves the transactions per second (TPS) performance of 1.9X-3.7X and reduces transactional data committing latency by more than 40% in the target scenario.

Research on the Benefit-Sharing Model of Collaborative Innovation Mechanism in Power Innovation Park

Currently, innovation is no longer limited to a single enterprise. The joint realization of collaborative innovation by multiple parties has become the main driving force for innovation and development. The Power Innovation Park is an emerging innovation and entrepreneurship model. It is guided by power grid companies, and the school, government, and enterprise are combined in the park. The Power Innovation Park urgently needs theoretical guidance in terms of the resource allocation mechanism, support incentive mode, and benefit-sharing mode, so this paper takes the park as an example to study the benefit-sharing mode of collaborative innovation. In this paper, the transformation methods of the Power Innovation Park are divided into two types: cooperation between members within the park and dominated by external enterprises in the park. This paper applies cooperative game theory and HJB equation to study the benefit-sharing model of each member in the Power Innovation Park under two different result transformation modes. Research has shown that an appropriate method of transformation of results can maximize the overall and individual interests of the park and that individual interests are affected by many factors. Finally, this paper puts forward policy recommendations to promote the collaborative innovation development of the innovation park through the research results.

Research on Collaborative Innovation of Intelligent Connected Vehicles Industry Based on Test Field: Embedded Case Study from the Perspective of Open Innovation

Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICV) are reshaping the pattern of traditional automobile industry, and they have gradually become the strategic direction of more and more countries. The test field and demonstration zones, as important bridges linking the technology side and market side of the ICV, are crucial in the development of its technology and industry. At the same time, the integrated construction of the test field and demonstration zones also provides a platform for collaborative innovation in the industry. In this paper, the test field and demonstration zones of the ICV industry in Beijing are selected as the case study object, and the grounded theory research method is used for reference. Based on the logic of “motivation-behavior-result”, the story line of collaborative innovation of ICV industry that is based on the test field is explored. Furthermore, open innovation is incorporated to analyze and optimize the industrial collaborative innovation mechanism that is based on the test field. On this basis, the paper discusses two collaborative innovation paths of the ICV industry based on the test field: the path that is led by the core enterprises in the test field and the path led by the test field. Finally, from the perspective of the government and management departments, several suggestions are put forward for promoting the collaborative innovation of the ICV industry based on the test field, in order to provide reference for the construction and operation of the domestic ICV test field and demonstration zones and the collaborative innovation development of the ICV industry.

"The Policy Bricolage" of School-enterprise Collaborative Innovation of Research

Based on policy instrument theory, starting from the perspective of policy combination, this research analyzes the collaborative innovation development path of 21 "first-class universities" in 21 provinces of China by using the method of csQCA. The policy integration path is market-driven and government-driven. Among them, it focuses on the unitized design of financial support, talent supply and intellectual property policies.

Executives’ Work out of Hometown and Corporate Innovation

Innovation can improve enterprise performance and stock market returns, and influence merger and acquisition selection, so that enterprises can obtain collaborative innovation development. The cultural gene of executives is one of the important factors that affect the innovation activities of enterprises. With the increase of population flow, it is normal for executives to work out of hometown. The off-site environment may have an important impact on corporate behavior by shaping the behavior of executives. How does executives’ work out of hometown affect enterprise innovation and what mechanism does it work through? Through the literature review, we find that the change of entrepreneurs’ risk-taking level and the change of resource reserve are two possible mechanisms that affect innovation development. From the perspective of risk-taking, the better social trust level and legal environment in different places may prompt executives to work out of hometown, which may indicate their preference for risk, or they may choose enterprise decision-making of risk aversion due to the lack of social capital. From the perspective of resources, executives’ work out of hometown may focus on the accumulation of internal cash flow due to financing constraints and other issues, and may also use existing funds to obtain and maintain social capital. Facing the different impacts of different dimensions of risk and resources, this paper studies the impact of executives’ work out of hometown on enterprise innovation. The results show that executives’ work out of hometown can increase the implementation of enterprise innovation projects and the output level, and promote the improvement of enterprise innovation level. Through the intermediary mechanism test, it is found that, combined with the better social trust level and legal environment in different places, enterprises’ risk-taking level is increased, and the cash flow reserve level is improved, which jointly promotes the improvement of enterprise innovation level. It is further found that the promotion effect of executives’ work out of hometown on enterprise innovation will be further strengthened in the case of two job integration, lower separation of ownership and lower equity of the largest shareholder. The conclusion of this paper provides new evidence for investigating the economic consequences of population mobility, and also provides ideas for further exploring the cultural genes of enterprise innovation.

Establishing SME–university collaboration through innovation support programmes

PurposeThe research purpose is to analyse when and how innovation support programmes (ISPs) can affect collaboration between universities and established small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The paper specifically considers SME’s absorptive capacity.Design/methodology/approachA Swedish research centre is studied in the context of innovation support and two of its SME-ISPs are examined with regards to industry–university collaboration and impact on firm innovation capabilities. Data collection and analysis are performed, using interviews, survey answers, document search and reflectional analysis to evaluate processes and effects of the centre and the programmes.FindingsA developed research centre, integrated into both academia and industry, can support translational collaboration and promote SME innovation absorptive capacity. The action learning elements and the organisational development approaches used when coaching in the ISPs contribute to the SMEs internal absorption capacity and collaborational skills. Organising collaboration into ISPs can provide a relational path to future collaboration with universities, which, for example start with student projects.Research limitations/implicationsThe study, though limited to one Swedish region, adds to empirical innovation research as it connects industry–university collaboration and absorptive capacity to organisational learning.Practical implicationsThe empirical results indicate possible long-term gains for industry and universities in building collaborative innovation into SME-ISPs.Originality/valueThe contribution of this study pertains to the practice of innovation support for established SMEs with the inclusion of absorption capacity and collaborative innovation development.

Proactive customer orientation and joint learning capabilities in collaborative machine to machine innovation technology development: the case study of automotive equipment manufacturer

Research background: There is a considerable amount of literature focused on customers? motivation to participate in cooperative new product development [NPD], but previous research neglected the suppliers? perspective concerning organizational mechanisms for the facilitation of customer involvement in cooperative new product development.
 Purpose of the article: The aim of the study is to explore the influence of two kinds of dynamic capabilities, proactive customer orientation [PCO] and joint learning capability [JLC] on the acceptance and use of machine to machine interaction [M2M] in collaborative innovation development [CID], from the supplier?s perspective.
 Methods: The research is based on a case study carried out from June 2018 till June 2019 of a Polish automation integrator supplying a manufacturer of automotive equipment, i.e. automotive industry, in a fully robotized workstation. In order to understand how the company functions in this case, in-depth interviews with the company?s employees have been conducted.
 Findings & Value added: The results revealed that intelligent devices, interacting machines, and real-time data transfer to the supplier may cause disruptions through their impact on establishing trustful business relationships. We believe our findings could have a profound impact on the way how proactive customer orientation and relational interactions supported knowledge sharing and joint learning sense-making through operational meetings and on-the-job workshops which role was to evaluate the collaborative project.

Internationalization Business Models and Patterns of SMEs and MNEs: A Qualitative Multi-Case Study in the Agrifood Sector

Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) in the agri-food sector have been overcoming internationalization barriers. However, research is scarce, specifically to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, despite the importance of the sector. The main aim of our study is to explore the archetypes and internationalization pace of internationalized SMEs and MNEs in the agri-food sector, adopting an external perspective and an empirical approach. More particularly, the influence of the interaction of demand-side innovation and management control systems (MCSs) in companies in the industry is examined. A qualitative research design was developed in order to achieve an in-depth understanding of the contextual factors affecting international SMEs and MNEs in the agri-food sector. Semi-structured telephone interviews were conducted with three SME and three MNE managers. Our findings suggest that SMEs are not fundamentally different from MNEs—both types of organizations best fit the Casino model archetype. It was also found that strong competition helps the development of collaborative innovation, directing advancement toward fulfilling consumer demand. MCSs are neither communicating information nor managing perceived risks by creating trust and confidence; they are mostly used for diagnostic purposes, not substantially influencing the innovation process.
