Darling in the classical Turkish poetry based on love is one of the indispensable characters of this poem as an entity in the central position. Another important character is the lover character represented by the poet. In poems, especially in the odes and love masnavis, the characteristics of the darling have been explained due to the influence of some factors such as the ability, imagination, environment, knowledge, life experience and belief of the poet. Religion is one of the important sources that the poet benefited from when telling the darling. The poet, who was already a Muslim, used many concepts, topics and themes in his poetry, and he enriched and adorned his poetry by using religious elements. Hence, one of these concepts has been the alms. The darling who is rich in beauty and the sultan of the city of perfection has been introduced by the lover as someone in debt who needs to pay the alms due to this beauty treasure. In this respect, the lover, at every opportunity, demanded the alms from the darling for her perfection. Therefore, in this study, the way the lover who demands the alms for the beauty of the darling approached to the topic was emphasized, and it was intended to reveal the meanings and associations of a religious term in poetry language with the help of the sample poems chosen among the scanned divan poems. In this study which is carried out using the explanations methods based on the meaning, it has been concluded that the poets who engaged the beauty elements with the alms revived many elements about the alms, and that they glorified the darling who they introduced as the giver.
