Abstract
The rose has been one of the most important sign in classical turkish poetry. This study occurs from entrance and three more parts in which the rose is investigated with several side in the Bâki’s poetries, who is an important poet of sixtenth century. In the entrance part what is mentioned about the specialities of rose as a kind of flower, the importanceof it for classical turkish poetry and the richness of connatation as an signification. Then the uses of rose is dealt In the first part the connection between love and rose is mentioned in terms of its various qualities such as color , shape , smell and delicacy. In the second part elements about rose and association of these elements with concrete and abstract concepts through some various arts are emphasized. In the third part, it’s talked about the other means of rose and what comes to mind when the subject is rose by attention of concept.
