Abstract

This study aims to develop literature and culture for prospective Korean language teachers through the design, execution, and analysis of classes that apply team-based learning (TBL) to lectures on Korean literature education for foreigners, which is a major subject in the master's course in Korean education as a foreign language at the Graduate School of International Studies. Its purpose is to present a practical plan for education. TBL was used as a way to cultivate and strengthen the teaching-learning capacity in terms of the fact that the practical aspect should be considered together with the intellectual aspect and the competency-based curriculum. As a result of class operation, students showed satisfaction and academic achievement in systematic team-based learning, and in the process of carrying out TBL, problem-solving ability as a teacher or practical ability related to the educational field was strengthened. However, more detailed design will be needed for the amount of tasks and the degree of instructor's involvement.
