Abstract
Strategy is one of the methods, actions and decisions that teachers apply in learning to achieve the goals of the learning. Based on the curriculum in Indonesia for the past few years, physical education has been a mandatory form of learning. The aim of this research is to determine adaptive physical education learning strategies for students with special needs in special schools. This research uses a qualitative approach using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The subjects in this research were physical education teachers at SLBN Juwetkenogo Porong and at SLB B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. The results of this research are (1) Planning learning strategies using semester programs, RPP, RPI and following them according to the phase level. (2) The learning strategies used are physical activity modification techniques, modification techniques and modification techniques. (3) Physical education aims to ensure that students have good physical fitness and so that students can adapt to the environment even though they have limitations. It is also one of the objectives of physical education to develop students who are talented in sports and achieve the highest achievements
