Abstract

In the context of the General Agreement signed between the Department of History, Cultural Heritage and Territory of the University of Cagliari and the Superintendence ABAP for the metropolitan city of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Sud Sardegna, which provides for the analysis of the documentation of excavations conducted since the 19th century in the Punic-Roman necropolis of Tuvixeddu, the systematic analysis of the archival documentation and the published data was resumed in order to reconstruct funerary contexts and rituals. The main interventions concerning the discovery and investigation of Punic chamber burials are presented here.
