Abstract
The Post-graduated School of Archaeological Heritage of Matera annually promotes, within the project CHORA, Laboratories of Archeaology in Basilicata, the campaigns of intensive archaeological survey in the territory of the ancient chora of Herakleia, between the rivers of Akiris and Siris, together with the stratigraphic excavation on the hill of S.M. d’Anglona (ancient Pandosia). These are two actions of a unitary landscape archaeology project characterized by a highly integrated approach: the archaeological activity, in collaboration with other disciplinary sectors, is linked to the themes of identifying the agricultural resources of the ancient territory of Herakleia
