Abstract

The objective of this study is to design the future direction of general education of S university based on the results of analyzing the <satisfaction with whole general education> of S university and the satisfaction with general education of <Sehan Empirical Tradition> which is a required general course reflecting the founding philosophy of S university. In the results of the analysis, the satisfaction with <Sehan Empirical Tradition> was lower than the satisfaction with whole general education, so it would be necessary to redesign the curriculum and contents of the course <Sehan Empirical Tradition>. Also, in the whole survey items, the response to the item ‘The general education course is fully reflecting students’ education’ was the lowest(lower than the total mean), so it would be needed to restructuralize the curriculum of general education that could reflect the students’ opinions and social changes.
