The International Postgraduate Conference on Mechanical Engineering (IPCME 2021) is the second international conference organized by the Faculty of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Malaysia. This conference aimed to provide a forum for discussion, sharing and disseminating ideas and expertise among researchers within and outside the UMP, especially postgraduate students across Malaysia. The conference is also an effort to foster the implementation of the latest research with a culture of innovation in rapidly growing mechanical engineering technology. The conference focused on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research topics concerning advanced manufacturing, automotive engineering, biomechanics, heat transfer, vibration, and other mechanical engineering topics.Most interestingly, the conference was fully managed by the postgraduate students of UMP with guidance from the institutional academic and non-academic staff. This is to nurture the leadership and decision-making skills of UMP’s postgraduate students in managing a conference on their future working career. The first IPCME conference was successfully organized on October 31, 2018, with 110 participants. Initially, the biennial IPCME conference was planned to be held in April 2020 with a face-to-face presentation. However, due to the uncertain circumstances of the COVID-19, the conference was postponed to January 19, 2021, with the video-conferencing presentation. Nevertheless, we still managed to receive 69 paper submissions, including international participants from China, Indonesia, and Iraq.Therefore, it is an honor to make the IPCME 2021 a success despite the pandemic. We would like to express our appreciation to Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) is sponsoring our conference. Special thanks to our keynote speaker Prof. Datin. Ts. Dr. Mimi Sakinah binti Abdul Munaim and Ir. Ts. Wan Mohd Ikhwan bin Wan Yusoff for the motivational and interesting speech. We would also like to express our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mahadzir bin Ishak and Assoc. Prof. Ir.
